Consumption of energy drinks by pupils at a selected lower secondary school ABSTRACT The presented bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of energy drinks consumption by pupils at a selected lower secondary school. The concept energy drink is described in the introduction to the theoretical part of the thesis. Furthemore, the theoretical part of the thesis is dedicated to the description of the most common components in energy drinks. Subsequently, the thesis focuses mainly on the amount of sweeteners in selected energy drinks on the Czech market. In the practical part of the thesis there is a questionnaire survey investigated among pupils at the lower secondary school in Český Brod, where their general awareness of energy drinks is ascertained. The influence of health literacy of pupils in a selected basic school on their lifestyle

The diploma thesis deals with the students' health literacy of the 6th to 9th grade students of the elementary school and its influence on their lifestyle. The goal of the thesis was to determine the level of health literacy of students, their lifestyle and whether their knowledge and skills of health area affect their lifestyle. The diploma thesis has two parts, theoretical and practical. The content of the theoretical part includes chapters related to health, health literacy and its models, influencing factors and lifestyle. Furthermore, the theoretical part deals with the developmental specifics of the 6th to 9th grades students. The practical part includes a short description of the school where the research was implemented. The investigation was carried out using quantitative research - questionnaire survey method and qualitative research - interviews with students. There were 67 participants aged between 11 and 15. Students demonstrated a very good level of theoretical knowledge in health literacy. The results of the research showed that the transfer of this knowledge to the real life is not ideal for some students, yet there is considerable effort to improve their lifestyle.
Activisitional activities in selected retirement homes in Vysočina Region

This bachelor thesis deals with activisitional and leisure activities in three selected retirement homes in the Vysočina Region. Specifically, it concerns SeniorCentrum SeneCura Humpolec, Domov Jeřabina Pelhřimov and Domov důchodců Proseč-Obořiště. The aim of the thesis is to describe activities offered in these retirement homes and which of them are most frequently used by the clients, or what activities would clients welcome in the offer. Furthermore, the aim is to compare the offer of the activities and their use. The theoretical part introduces the basic terms related to this issue. The practical part first describes and then compares the three selected facilities. The last part of the thesis is the research, which was conducted qualitatively, using semi-structured interviews with clients of the selected facilities. The results of the research showed that clients in the selected retirement homes most often participate in physical activities, canis therapy, music therapy and occasional outdoor sessions. The range and use of activities did not differ much between facilities, with unique differences highlighted in the thesis.
Environmental grief among the students of the Faculty of Education at the Charles University

Environmental grief among students of the Faculty of Education at the Charles University The abstract of the bachelot thesis This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of the environmental grief, which is a complex of emotions that can be caused by environmental changes and issues connected to them. The theoretical part aims to define and summarize this phenomenon, which can be traced already in the 1970's literature and has recently become a frequently discussed topic. In Czechia, this topic is dealt with by scholars such as Hana Librová, Jan Krajhanzl, Bohuslav Binka or Zdeňka Voštová. The practical part focuses on how students of the Pedagogical Faculty at Charles University approach this phenomenon. By the method of the questionnaire, it was found that they are aware of environmental changes and that the stance of almost half of the respondents regarding the future of the Earth is rather pessimistic. Furthermore, many respondents experience discomfort connected to uncertainty and worries, and one-third of respondents are even inclined to mild anxiety. Despite these aspects, the questionnaire research shows that most students don't adjust their lives to become more environmentally friendly.
Knowledge of primary school health education teachers about contraception

The diploma thesis Knowledge of health education teachers at primary schools about contraception deals in the theoretical part with the field of health education at universities in the Czech Republic with a focus on the implementation of a course with a sexual reproduction theme and the inclusion of the topic of contraception. The practical part is made up of the results of a questionnaire-based electronic survey investigating the knowledge of teachers on the topic of contraception. The main goal is to determine the knowledge of health education teachers teaching at the second level of elementary schools on the topic of contraception using the number of correct answers. The first sub-goal is to compare the knowledge of interviewed teachers with approval of the subject of health education and without approval of the subject of health education. The second partial goal is to compare the knowledge of novice teachers (less than 5 years of teaching experience) and teachers with more than 5 years of teaching experience. The third sub-goal is to find out the professional qualification and approval of health education teachers. Teachers ' lifestyle in the city and in the village

The aim of the work was to reveal the differences between teachers in the city and in the countryside and to compare their lifestyle, we were interested in aspects of life of both groups, their eating habits and the way they spend their free time. The work deals with a healthy lifestyle, its aspects and the relationship to the teaching profession. It consists of a theoretical and research part. The theoretical part introduces the essence of a healthy lifestyle, so it focuses primarily on what a healthy lifestyle is and how to achieve it. For this reason, it was necessary to obtain information on all factors affecting a healthy lifestyle, which is diet, drinking regime, exercise, sleep, but also mental balance and the ability to withstand stress. One of the chapters deals with this, which also brings the connection between stress and burnout syndrome and informs about the possibilities and techniques of defense against it. The research part was created using a questionnaire that monitored the lives of teachers, their habits and quality of lifestyle, compared the differences between teachers in the city and in the village. Knowledge of lower secondary selected school pupils about dental hygiene

The bachelor's thesis deals with the knowledge of lower secondary students of a selected school about dental hygiene. The theoretical part is focused mainly on the prevention of dental caries and dental aids. There is also described the anatomy of the oral cavity, the morphology of the teeth, the structure of the teeth, the structure of the teeth as a whole and the most common diseases caused by insufficient or incorrectly performed oral hygiene. The practical part is mediated by a questionnaire survey, which took place in the 9th grade of primary school in Havlíčkův Brod. The aim was to find out what knowledge the students have about dental hygiene, dental aids and teeth in relation to the subjects of health education and natural history. The second partial goal was to find out what is their most common source of information about dental hygiene. The results of the questionnaire survey showed that the pupils of this school have a satisfactory knowledge of dental hygiene, but the anatomical knowledge about the teeth and the problems caused by the insufficient hygiene of the oral cavity is less satisfactory.
