Play in same age and mixed age classes at kindergarden

The diploma work is focused on play in homogenous and heterogeneous age groups in nurseries. It includes a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part compares conditions for children's play in two programs taking place in different times, chosen alternative programs, game and the game set, the role of the teacher during the free play and also analyses the advantages and disadvantages of homogenous and heterogeneous age groups in classes. The practical part includes observation of free play in homogenous and heterogeneous age groups of children and the monitoring of the experiment with game set. It also focuses on the tendency of children in the heterogeneous age group to create the thematic game sets and compares the results of play in two heterogeneous groups.

The Thesis is focused on development of social relationships' need of a preschool-age child. The Thesis deals with theoretical information about relationships to a family and adults, siblings, children of the same age and differences among them. It deals with issues of relationships and opinions on a favourite child, inappropriate friendships, behaviour and a child without friends. It declares characteristic relationships resulting from games, when emotionality and bonds among children of the same age show spontaneously. These bonds arise in cooperative games. It deals with a group of children, positive and negative features of age-heterogeneous and age-homogeneous group and development of subgroups.In a final part it introduces preschool framework educational programme and the part "Child and the other" concentrates on mutual relationships among children. An action research in the practical part of the Thesis finds out what relationships among children prevail, what they like and dislike in a nursery school, how they accept, whether positive or negative relationships prevail, whether the negative ones are adopted by a children's group in the long term. The main focus of this thesis is the application of teacher-initiated play as a method for education of children aged three to six, according to RVP for preschool education (2004). The theoretical section discusses different types of play, their development and the role of the teacher in every one. The play is studied based on the RVP (2004), section Child and psychology. This section also presents the education plan used in the kindergarten, where the research is conducted. The practical section presents the actual research. A special development program was designed that allowed the teachers to evaluate the influence of a teacher-initiated play on the development of speech and pronunciation in a group of children (aged three to four). Aplication of multicultural education in day nursery school

The diploma thesis deals with the possibilities of the application of multicultural education in nursery school through ethnic music. The theoretical part deals with clarifying of basic terms of the multicultural education, it describes personal and interpersonal development of the personality of a child in a pre-school age and possibilities of the development of the cooperation in a child group. it is also focused on the importance of music during accepting of differences of children and people. The practical part analysis statistic information of questionnairies for teachers in nursery schools. It also tries to find out the actors which influence the application of multicultural education in nursery schools in Moravian-Silesian region. It also introduces the pedagogical project focused on the possibility of the use of ethnic music for development of cooperation and accepting the differences by children.
Educational projects of regional character and its application in nursery school

This thesis deals the project method in several points of view. First there is recorded the history of the method of the personalities and the formation in the thesis, which was merited of its formation and expansion all over the world. These personalities are John Dewey, William Heard Kilpatrick and Ida Jarníková. In the thesis is described current view of the project of teaching in the schools. The next chapter is devoted to the Framework Educational Program for the preschool education. The last chapter of the theoretical part is devoted to the historical topic of the specification pedagogical project which will be processed in the practical part of this thesis. The thesis practical part starts with the formulation of the thesis objectives and the determination of the research questions. We will find the methods of the research in this thesis. These methods will be used to find the results. Possibilities of multicultural approaches of the work of Kindergarten

Possibilities of multicultural approaches in kindergarten work. This thesis focuses on multicultural education and the possibilities of use in kindergartens in Cheb, where the teachers very often encounter children of other nationalities, in particular with children of Vietnamese parents coming to the Karlovy Vary region to pursue their business activities in this border region. The theoretical part highlights the increasing number of immigrants in the Czech Republic. The thesis explains the terminology relating to multicultural education and it also emphasizes its links with the Framework Education Programme and classroom education programmes. It places emphasis on the preparedness of teachers for multicultural education as well as their preparedness in the domain of child speech development and possibilities of helping children of different nationalities with learning Czech language. The practical part points out the focus on developing vocabulary and communication skills as one of the possibilities of multicultural approach of teachers and kindergartens. In addition, it presents the results of a pedagogical survey related to Vietnamese parents and their attitude to the need of learning Czech language by their children.
Play activities for development of prosocial behaviour and perception of children in kindergartens

Play activities in kindergartens are the key method for general development of a child between tree and six years of age. In personality-orientated education the free, induced and didactic play is the starting point for the development of children's prosocial behaviour and perception. In the theoretical part the meanings of the play types are explained with regards to age specifications focusing on the development of children's prosocial behaviour and perception. The practical part verifies the possibilities of plays with prosocial targets and their influence on prosocial behaviour and perception of children in selected classed. It surveys typical problem situations which arise while playing and shows the models of their solution.
Problems Related to a Child's Entry into a Kindergarten

The work deals with the possibilities of how to facilitate the entry of a child into a kindergarten, opinions and remarks made by his/her patents, how they perceive their child at this time, what they expect, what they are concerned about, observations of his/her teachers and the suitability of an adaptation programme. The specifics of a child at the age of 3 to 4 years, his/her psychological development, temperament and needs, further the present trends of the family in relationship to the child upon entry into the kindergarten, the forms of cooperation, their influence on the present pre-school facility and the adaptation programme of the kindergarten, are described in the theoretical part. The practical part contains the ascertainment based on interrogatories. At the very close of the discussion there are some considerations on the ascertained facts and possibilities of facilitating the entry of a child from the parts of both the family and the kindergarten.
Professional beginnings of a kindergarten teacher

The Thesis is focused on preparedness of young teachers who begin with their independent practice in kindergartens from the point of view of requirements from General Educational Program for Pre-School Education. Teoretical part worked out with professional literature corresponds with topics in Practical Part. It defines crucial terminology, introduces a profession of a teacher from various points of view - a teacher in general, a young teacher , a teacher in a kindergarten. Practical Part targets the novice troubles of young teachers in context of professional studies at Pedagogy College and at Faculty of Pedagogy, it shows a program of studies and its contents, it clears up a procedure and organisation of practical activities. Novice troubeles were inspected by means of selected pedagogical methods - process observation, interview, written questioning with a sample random of young teachers and students.
