TITLE: Communicative skills and disturbed communications ability of children before initiation of school attendance. PeadDr, Jiřina Klenková, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: The thesis analyzes the communication ability and communication disorder of children at the preschool age. Basic concepts relating to communication and as well as to processed individual categories of communication disorder skills of children before entering the elementary school are defined in the theoretical part of the work. Further the development of a child under the age of six years based on the study of professional sources is outlined including its psychomotor, cognitive and speech development. The final theoretical part is focused on both the possibilities of intervention in case of children suffering from communication disorders and at the speech therapy system for these children before entering the elementary school. In the practical part, which is aimed at parents of the preschool age children and their kindergarten teachers, the occurrence of disorders in this child category is specified. Fear and axiety among children with stuttering

This graduation theses attends to (is dedicated to) questions of fear and anxiety among preschool and younger school-age children. The paper is devided to theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is broken up to five chapters, which focus on the facts we need for understanding to this topic. There are concepts like emotions (fear, anxiety), developing age limitation, stutter, in more particular the question of parents of stammering child, that child in the society and prevention of stutter. The practical part includes goals, questuionare evaluation and its results which should present the particular areas of childernś and parentś fear and anxiety. Self-concept of students with specific learning disabilities in secondary school

The dissertation is focused on the self-concept of students and adults who have learning disabilities. The general charakcteristic of learning disorders and their symptoms is in the theoretical part. The diagnostics and principles of reeducation are clarified. The secondary symptoms and the impact of child failure on his future professional career are described in the next chapter. The difficulties of pupils suffering from lerning disabilities is highlighted. The practical part deals with the self-concept of students and adults who have to deal with the problems associated with learning. There are records from their teachers and classmates too. I examined seven pupils on secondary school and five adults in my dissertation.
Speech aids for Children and Schoolchildren with comunication disorder

The topic of the bachelor thesis is speech therapy aids for children with communication disorders. This is discussed both on theoretical and practical basis. The theoretical part defines speech therapy aids. The description proceeds from a general point of view to a more specific definition in the context of disrupted ability to communicate. Individual parts of the thesis allow a more profound perspective on these issues, including functions, principles, definitions and classification. In the practical part of my work I present the results of my research focusing on mapping speech therapy aids for children with communication disorder at a present-day marketplace (on a random sample of speech therapy aids). The goal of the bachelor thesis is to show a comprehensive view on the theoretical issues of speech therapy aids for children with speech therapy disorders. TITLE: Speech and language therapy intervention for children with autism spectrum disorders AUTHOR: Michaela Horáková DEPARTMENT: Department of special education SUPERVISOR: Mgr. Lucie Durdilová ABSTRACT: This bachelor thesis is devoted to speech and language therapy for children with autism spectrum disorders. The theoretical part deals with autism spectrum disorders, focusing on their classification, etiology, symptomatology with an emphasis on qualitative impairment in communication, and care options for preschool children with these disorders. The thesis also concerns with the theoretical bases of speech and language therapy intervention provided for children with autism spectrum disorders. The practical part is devoted to communication improvement in special nursery school. It includes case studies of two boys with autism. The aim of this qualitative research investigation is to evaluate children's communication skills, describe the intervention methods to improve their communication, and describe work with children in the classroom, focusing on stimulation of their communication competencies. Using moving activities for therapy of communicative disability

This work deals with movement methods used in speech therapy. The main goal is to point out on movement therapy used in therapy of communicative disorders. The first part of work explains terms such as therapy and introduces the acquisition of speech through speech-movement therapy. The second part of work is focused on the accent method of voice therapy and its application during therapy of voice disorders. An important part of my work are physiotherapeutic methods used in speech therapy such as Padovan method, myofunctional therapy of A. Kittel, Petö method of conductive education, synergetic reflex therapy and Vojta method. The last part of my bachelor thesis is focusing on my own experience in the field of the speech therapy. The conclusion of this work is that using moving activities in therapy of communicative disorders is very helpful for the patient. And I would recommend putting movement therapy in speech therapy into practice in Czech Republic. It would be very beneficial for the field of speech therapy. PaedDr. Vanda Hájková, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: In my bachelor's thesis I focus on the issue of cerebral palsy and deviations of psychomotoric and speech developement associated with this condition. First, I'll describe in theory psychomotoric and speech developement of intact children aged from newborns to school age. In the second part I'll focus on psychomotoric deviations and particular forms of speech disorders compared with the children's peer group. In my practical part I focus on assessing the influence of the condition on the acceptance of the children to a school facility, whether the symptomatic speech disorders associated with cerebral palsy affect learning abilities, and finding out parent's opinions on thein childrern's employment and future career.
