Title: Physical activity in the primary prevention of type 2 diabetes Objectives: The aim of the survey of this thesis is to focus on the incidence and type of risk factors which could have appeared before type 2 diabetes or prediabetes and how these risk factors have increased the diabetes risk score. If these factors were influenceable or not. Thirteen female patients of diabetological outpatient department of the Hospital in Teplice took part in the survey. They were further asked about the change in their lifestyles. Methods: The research was based on an anonymous survey with 26 questions, which I created. Fifteen forms were distributed to female patients of diabetological outpatient department of the Hospital in Teplice. The average age of the patient was 62,5 years, SD = 6,8. The youngest patient was 42 years old, the oldest was 73. The average time of the disease, which the patient lived with, was 7,3 years, SD = 6,8. The shortest time was 2 years and the longest was 14 years. Thirteen forms were completed properly and completely and were used for the survey. I interviewed two women to make sure the questions were comprehensible. The data I collected were evaluated and commented. Results: The results of my survey confirmed the incidence of leading risk factors for type 2 diabetes, containing...
The most common injuries in basketball
Mocik, Antonín ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Kaplan, Aleš (referee)
Title: The most common injuries in basketball Objectives The purpose of this thesis is to find out, by survey, which injuries are the most common among basketball players across various skill levels and age categories. At the same time, the purpose is to also find out the causes of these injuries, and whether or not rehabilitation was used during recovery. Methods: I gathered all the data necessary for this thesis via an unstandardized annonymous survey, which I administered to a study group. I analyzed the data that I collected through graphs and tables, and then I prepared the final analysis based on the results of the survey. Results: The conclusion of this thesis is based on the results of the survey. Based on the responses of the survey, I have come to the conclusion that the most common injuries occur in the lower limbs, especially in the knee and ankle joints, and specifically sprains. The cause of these injuries is the dynamic and aggresive movement of the game. Once fatique sets in, players overestimate their abilities, their coordination worsens, and they are at greater risk of these injuries. An exercise routine of parents and their children
Radina, Marek ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Sýkora, Karel (referee)
Title: An exercise routine of parents and their children Objectives: The principal aim of this thesis is to observe an exercise routine of parents and their children. The theoretical part attempts to define the concept of an exercise routine, and to list the highest number of possible connections and variables which can limit it. The empirical part addresses the question of how much of parents'/children's time is occupied by physical activities, how parents and their attitude towards sport influence that of their children, and so on. Methods: The theoretical part uses the method of analysis, which is applied to data collection and to the definition of an exercise routine and of other related concepts. The empirical part of the thesis uses the method of written questioning in the form of two opinion polls−one for parents and the other for their children. Results: The thesis mostly affirmed the hypothesis that "physically-active parents raise physically-active children." Other gathered facts reflect for instance the following: children spend much time doing physical activities than their parents, a significant majority of families with children participate in collective physical activities (e.g. cycling or skiing), and a child from a sporty family does not necessarily have to follow one of their...
Side effectof electro stimulation on shortering of back muscles
Javůrek, Jakub ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Pavlů, Dagmar (referee)
Title: Side effect of electro stimulation on shortening of back muscles Objectives of work: The aim of this study is to determine whether electro stimulation has a negative effect on the elasticity of back muscles. Methods: Data was collected by using the measurement method. The tested file is formed by four men aged 34-43 years, who underwent four weeks educational program. Measuring of the elasticity of back muscles was done before and after completing training cycle. The obtained data were filled into tables and then they were processed and compared Results: We found out that the method of electro stimulation used in fitness training, has a negative effect on the elasticity of back muscles. In our research we determined the frequency of training sessions for three times a week, while the training program includes four such weeks. After completing the training program and following remeasurement, we concluded that we cannot use electro stimulation in such quantities without applying stretching immediately after the training session or as a separate unit. Keywords: Electro stimulation, training, back muscles
Fitness training in performance football
Roth, Jiří ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Kokštejn, Jakub (referee)
Title: Fitness training in performance football Objectives: The main objective of this bachelor thesis is the characterization and analysis of information about fitness training at a performance level of a football team that trains 2-3 times a week. Subsequent comparison and verification of adequate knowledge gained from optimal resources are used to improve fitness condition during yearly training cycle. Methods: First, the information about fitness training was compared based upon the analysis of the scientific literature. Secondly, the model training units focused on individual fitness assumptions were created. Thirdly, research data in the form of a survey from football coaches was compiled. Finally, field tests that were designed to improve performance level were applied. Results: In the thesis I found that a fitness training for football in performance level is as important in both preparatory periods as in fitness training of professionals. Although, it is much less intense. Based upon the analysis of the verified data and resources, the objectives of this thesis were achieved and hypotheses were confirmed. Content of individual results of this work is discussed in the relevant chapters. Keywords: Fitness training, fitness preparation, training unit, performance football

Mocik, Tomáš ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Kaplan, Aleš (referee)
Title: Coaching of Fitness Basketball Training in Adults Basketball Objectives: The aim of this work was to deal with literary research and to create a training guide to men's fitness training for basketball coaches. In this research I have worked with up-to-now experience which I have extended by translation of foreign literature and basic human physiology. Methods: Research and comparison from foreign and Czech literature which is is concerned with sports training in basketball. Results: The thesis is conceived as a comprehensive concept of a fitness training for adult basketball players. Because this study is supplemented by an knowledge from foreign sources and basic basketball preconditions, it may be used as a fitness training giude or an information source for basketball couches and trainers. Health aspects are introduced as a part of the study too. The fitness training, in a basketball environment, is characterised by a connection of a perfect technical performance and a high level of a speed and power requirements. It is very important to apply all exercises in an areal and temporal distress. Therefore, a basketball game has very high demands on a motor coordination, dexterity and a performance speed. Street workout as a sport for all
Regál, Ondřej ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Vomáčko, Ladislav (referee)
Title: Street workout as a sport for all Objectives: The goal is to analyze street workout in terms of availability, adequacy and safety of training. Methods: Searches relevant scientific literature, articles and documents on the Internet. Results: The analysis carried out street workout based on a expert literature search and an article on the internet, it was found that street workout is becoming a more and more affordable way for people to actively spend their leisure time. I have also made a research of possible injuries related to working out and listed their adequate prevention. The safety of the constructions is ensured by the European standards, which have to be followed when constructing new playgrounds. Finally I verified the variability of basic bodyweight exercises, which were created in different difficulty options. Subsequently, three model training programs for individuals with different abilities were made. Using our own body as the only weight for exercise rather limits the choice of exercises. Moreover, working out using only our own weight does not enable us to regulate the lifted weight. However, it can be changed by selecting a different method of workout (for example changing the lever during exercise). This compensates adequately the lack of added weight. Keywords: street...
The ability to assess the physical endurance of students
Bohata, Pavel ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Hlavička, Petr (referee)
Title: The ability to assess the physical endurance of students Objectives: Goal of this bachelor's thesis is to diagnose the endurance assumptions and determine the values of body mass index of students at second degree of primary schools. Another goal is in analyzing the results of students with common range of education and students with extended range of music education and aesthetics. Subsequently will follow comparison of analyzed results with goal of finding out statistical difference which is significant between endurance assumptions and the body mass index. Methods: The thesis is conducted in the form of quantitative research. The level of endurance assumptions is determined by multi-stage fitness test (Leger test) and by the values of BMI based on anthropometric characteristics. Results are evaluated in a form of histograms and tables. Analysis is performed by using a F-test and a t- test. The choosen test samples are students of two schools which first one is with common range of education and the second one is with extended range of music education and aesthetics. Resulsts: From evaluated and compared results is obvious that there is no statistically significant difference and therefore can't be said that students with extended music education and aesthetics would reach worse results in...
