Vietnamese youth community organizations operating in Prague
Malý, Matěj ; Nováková, Barbora (advisor) ; Lopatková, Marta (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the Vietnamese youth organizations which are based in Prague. The specific aim of the thesis is to describe these organizations and to identify the reason why people participate in them passively. The motivation for participation is examined through in- depth personal interviews with selected respondents. It is found that building the new social relationships and strengthening the existing ones as well as acquiring new knowledge and skills are the most motivating factors. One of the next motivations is also significantly influenced by the national factor, which means that the participants of these organizations are, with some exceptions, Vietnamese nationals. Collaboration of teachers and parents
Nováková, Barbora ; Viktorová, Ida (advisor) ; Trpišovská, Dobromila (referee)
The subject of this thesis is teacher-parent communication and cooperation with school management within this communication. The research took place in two Prague schools, high school and grammar school. Qualitative methods were applied for the analysis. Data were acquired via in-depth interviews with six teachers and two school psychologists. The main goal of the empirical research was to map how teachers perceive communication with parents and assess cooperation with school management in this communication. The results of the analysis suggest that there are many similar elements in teacher-parent communication. The communication usually takes place during formal class meetings with parents and via group e- mails. In case of problems teachers contact parents by phone or meet them individually in person. The variability in the category content of one teacher and in the frequency profile of the other teacher seems to be closely related to the risks associated with communication. One of the risks is crossing the boundaries of school competence by parents. In the latter case, there was a vague delineation of boundaries and the confluence of school and family competences. Agreement on Ending the War and Restoring Peace in Vietnam, which is probably better known as Paris Peace Accords, was the result of negotiations which took several years and it was supposed to lead to the end of fights in Vietnam. After several years of negotiations its final version was signed by members of four parties which were involved in the conflict on the Twenty-seventh of January, 1973. All the parties agreed to fulfil terms of the Agreement. The focus of this bachelor's work is to find out whether the terms of Paris Peace Accords were fulfilled. The work should reveal what terms were fulfilled and also what parts were not fulfilled. With these information, another questions will be raised - for example who was overseeing if the parties were fulfilling the terms, how successful this supervision was and what sanctions were imposed against the parties. Nováková, Barbora ; Matějček, Tomáš (advisor) ; Müller, Miloslav (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with climatic extremes and its position in education from students' and teachers' point of view, textbooks and curriculum documents. The introductory part describes the basic characteristics of climatic extremes using specialized literature. The key part of the thesis is research combining quantitative and qualitative methods. Based on the questionnaire survey, it is further evaluated with which preconceptions students come into education. A model lesson based on a constructivist model of teaching, specifically using the E-R-R (evocation - realization - reflection) method, was designed to monitor students' responses. After experimental education, students filled in the questionnaires for the second time, and the last filling took place several weeks later. Repeated questionnaires allowed tracking changes in students' responses and observing the impact of education. Part of the thesis is qualitative research which includes interviews with teachers of geography, analysis of textbooks and curriculum documents. Nováková, Barbora ; Matoušková, Milada (advisor) ; Havlíková, Petra (referee)
Research of macroinvertebrates is currently an important part of the assessment of stream quality. Basic characteristics influencing macroinvertebrates communities in the streams are elements from the external environment influencing streams, specifically basic geographic parameters of the site, land-use in the catchment and characteristics of the banks. These elements have a considerable influence on effect of the basic parameters in the stream, which are flow, sediment structure, input of organic material and pollution. Research part of the thesis is about the parameters influencing macroinvertebrates communities. Research area of this work includes three different catchments in the upper part of Blanice catchment area near Prachtice. There is one nature stream with forest in it's catchment, stream with a predominantly meadow basin and last stream is characterized by two distinct stretches - a revitalized section and a section with concrete bottom. The subject of this diploma thesis is evaluation of diversity of macroinvertebrates communities in all streams in the research area. Thesis evaluate communities of macroinvertebrate using a wide range of indexes (BMWP score, ASTP index, EPT index a diversity indexes) and compares their diversity by using rank-abundance graph.
