Title: Assessment of muscle activity by surface electromyography in reflex locomotion according to Vojta Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to summarize the existing knowledge on the objectification of the effects of Vojta reflex stimulation. It is also aimed to verify whether there is a higher muscle activity in selected muscles (m. rectus abdominis, m. biceps brachii, m. tibialis anterior) during Vojta chest zone stimulation compared to placebo stimulation. Subsequently, the mean muscle activity relating to maximum voluntary contraction (MVC) for all selected muscles during stimulation was compared. Furthermore, muscle activity related to MVC in the first and last minute without stimulation was also recorded with surface electromyography (sEMG) and was later assessed. Methods: The sample consisted of female university students in the age range of 18-26 years. Muscle activity measurements were performed on a Trigno Delsys instrument with EMGworks Acquisition software. The MVC of selected muscles was measured for each subject, and also the other researchers whose studies were running in parallel with this work were performed. EMG signal measurements were performed not only during placebo stimulation and stimulation according to Vojta, but also in the first and last minute without any...

Balatka, Adam ; Nováková, Tereza (advisor) ; Žáková, Lenka (referee)
Author: Bc. Adam Balatka Title: Postural stability of the trunk in relation to floorball players' lower limbs injuries Objectives: The aim of this diploma thesis is to investigate the level of postural stability by evaluating the quality of the deep stabilization system function in elite floorball players. Then, take into account its relation to the occurrence of lower extremity injuries in the anamnesis of each player. The next goal is to compare these results with evaluation of the stabilizing abilities of the lower extremities. Methods: 28 elite floorball players from fhe FBC Liberec club took part in this research. The players were 16-35 years old. Testing and data collection were done in Semptember and October 2023 before practise unit in the gym of the floorball club FBC Liberec. Anamnestic data focused mainly on lower extremities injuries were taken at first from each player. Subsequently, the level of trunk stability was examined using the diaphragm test and the hip joint flexion test according to Kolář. Then was measured the Y-balance test. Finally was done the evaluation according to the Return to activity algorithm Level 4 (90ř balance hop and square hop test). The MS Excel 365 program and statistic software Jamovi (version 2.3) were used for data evaluation. The results were processed...
Ultrasonographic comparison of the size of the cross-sectional area of the biceps brachii long head tendon in overhead athletes and non-competitive women
Kakos, David ; Malá, Jitka (advisor) ; Jandová, Tereza (referee)
vi Abstract Title: Ultrasonographic comparison of the size of the cross-sectional area of the long head biceps brachii tendon in overhead athletes and non-competitive women Aims: This study aimed to compare the cross-sectional area (CSA) size of the long head biceps tendon (LHBT) and the prevalence of positive functional tests for LHBT lesions in volleyball and handball players compared to a control group of young, non-sporting women. This study aims is to determine whether overhead female athletes, specifically female handball and volleyball players, experience a reduction in the size of the cross- sectional area of this tendon due to many years of regular sports activity. Furthermore, This study aims to determine the prevalence of positive functional tests for LHBT in both groups and subsequently to confirm or refute the correlation between a possible reduction in the size of the CSA of the biceps long head tendon in female overhead athletes and the positivity of functional tests. Methods: This research is an observational experiment. Theoretical knowledge was drawn from available Czech and foreign literature sources written in Czech, English and German. 39 probands selected based on selection and exclusion criteria participated in the experimental part of the research.According to the set research...

Vávra, Jan ; Pavlů, Dagmar (advisor) ; Nováková, Tereza (referee)
Author: Bc. Jan Vávra Title: Strength training in patients with cardiovascular disease from the perspective of physiotherapy students and physiotherapists of the Czech Republic Objectives: The aim of this diploma thesis is to evaluate the relationship of physiotherapy students/physiotherapists in the Czech Republic to strength/resistance training and to evaluate their relationship to the use of this training in cardiac patients. Methods: A non-standardized questionnaire was created for data collection. 497 physiotherapists and physiotherapy students participated in the research. The questionnaire was created and then sent out using Google Forms, the results were then evaluated in Microsoft Excel. Results: The results showed that up to 90 % (n = 449) of the research sample (n = 497) of physiotherapists and physiotherapy students in the Czech Republic do not think that there was enough time spent by topic of strength training during their studies. Over 86 % (n = 432) consider strength training for cardiovascular patients to be beneficial, and 76 % (n = 378) consider it as an integral part of the rehabilitation process for these patients. However, it turns out that almost 78 % (n = 387) are not sure of their knowledge when designing strength training for patients with cardiovascular disease. Keywords:...
Visual orientation of dragonflies - using polarized light
Kalavská, Tereza ; Černý, Martin (advisor) ; Kolář, Vojtěch (referee)
Polarized light is a physical phenomenon that is quite common in the nature. It has been known for a long time that some animals use such kind of light for various purposes in their lives. This group also includes dragonflies, which use horizontally polarized light to detect areas of water where mating and egg-laying takes place. The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to summarize the current knowledge of the visual orientation of dragonflies in space using polarized light. In my thesis, I focus on habitat selection and in which spectrum range dragonflies can perceive polarized light. Furthermore, I focus on the area of perception of polarized light by dragonfly larvae in the aquatic environment, which has not been properly researched yet as there are very few studies. Key words: orientation, insects, dragonflies, visual, polarized light, habitat selection
Anisokinetic dust sampling
Šenk, Daniel ; Zlevorová, Tereza (referee) ; Lachman, Jakub (advisor)
The presented thesis deals with the determination of the concentration of dust particles released during the operation of combustion boilers. The accuracy of these measurements can be affected by a number of factors. One of the main factors is the ratio between the gas velocity in the sampling probe and the gas velocity in the pipe. If this ratio is different from 1, we speak of so-called anisokinetic sampling. The CSN standards for the boilers in question prescribe limits for deviations from this value. For automatic biomass boilers, an allowable range is from 0.70 to 1.50. For values within this range, the mass concentrations of dust particles during the combustion of wood and sunflower pellets were determined by manual gravimetric method. The mass concentrations were then converted to relative measurement errors compared to reference values under isokinetic conditions. For the lower limit deviation, a relative measurement error of up to 22.9 % was determined. In the upper range, deviations from the reference values are up to 39.7 %. In this range, an underestimation of the concentration of dust particles occurs; therefore, it would be advisable to consider lowering the upper limit of the permissible isokinetic ratio in the CSN.
