Teaching consumer literacy for students of second stage of elementary education on the example of dairy products
Jelínková, Věra ; Marádová, Eva (advisor) ; Beneš, Pavel (referee)
In developed countries, the majority of the population perceives food only from the viewpoint of a consumer. Few know its origin, production technology and composition, and they can't critically evaluate, which products are beneficial in terms of proper nutrition. Therefore, this work deals with the development of consumer literacy in the area of food, i.e. food literacy among pupils of second stage of elementary school, where is not systematic given attention to this theme. As an appropriate example for teaching were chosen milk and dairy products, which are an essential part of healthy eating mostly in childhood. In line with the objectives of this work has been created structured summary of the findings of these foods serving as a theoretical background for teachers. It was also done research survey about knowledge and attitudes to milk and dairy products among pupils of second stage of elementary school. It turned out that in the surveyed sample, most of the pupils consume milk and basic dairy products (butter, cheese, yoghurt), but the consumption of other fermented dairy products is considerably lower. Most respondents considered milk and dairy products beneficial to our health, however they were almost unaware of its production technology and were not interested in their origin and...

Insights about Chemistry Education Gained in the Time of COVID-19
Hamerská, Lucie ; Rusek, Martin (advisor) ; Beneš, Pavel (referee)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the topic of distance learning and its conception by chemistry teachers during the COVID-19 pandemic. The theoretical part briefly characterizes the teacher's concept of teaching and its components, the distance form of teaching, its development, principles and effectiveness. Subsequently, attention is paid to the current situation regarding distance education during a pandemic and there is specific focus on teaching chemistry. The transition to the distance form of education was a great challenge for the teaching of chemistry as a subject, which includes not only theoretical but also practical knowledge. Every teacher took a different approach. The aim of the work is to map and present the approaches of several teachers to distance teaching of chemistry, the conditions for distance teaching, both on the part of teachers and on the part of students, and the experience with teaching concieved in such way. The research survey in the form of an interview was attended by 16 respondents. The questions concerned three main areas, namely the technical implementation of distance learning, pedagogical aspects of teaching and the impact of distance learning on educational content. The statements were analyzed using the open coding method. The findings show that at the level...
The influence of hydration accelerators on cement doped with zinc
Beneš, Pavel ; Šilerová,, Iva (referee) ; Šiler, Pavel (advisor)
Zinc in cement has negative properties mainly due to a significant delay in hydration. This bachelor thesis deals with the study of hydration of cements containing zinc. The course of cement hydration was monitored by isoperibolic calorimetry. Zinc was doped to CEM I 42.5 R in the form of 1 weight percent zinc oxide. Calcium oxide, formic acid and calcium formate were used in various proportions as accelerators. The obtained results were compared with the measured strengths and finally the suitability of the given accelerators was discussed for use in construction application.

Myth of P. Antonín Koniáš and its changes
Zaměření disertační práce odpovídá i její struktura.
