New Technologies in Education from the Phenomenological Point of View

This diploma thesis describes connection between education and technology from the phenomenological point of view. The hypothesis of this diploma thesis is the idea that new technologies influence changes in perception of the real world. There are students who use new technologies - the aim of the thesis is to evaluate the influence of technologies in educational process and changes in their perception of the world. The thesis describes the approach to education (Jan Patočka), new technologies in education (Branislav Frk, Marc Prensky), phenomenology and technologies (Maurice Merleau-Ponty, Paul Virilio) from the point of view of chosen authors. The thesis shows how perception of young generation (that Prensky called digital natives) is changed compared to the older one called digital immigrants and what consequences can this change cause. Anthropology of Body: Application of the Model to the Eating Disorders Phenomenon

The subject of the thesis is a theoretical and empirical analysis of the human body, which is examined through the prism of eating disorders. Methodologically, the project rests upon the core methods of cultural anthropology. The purpose of the thesis is an application and testing of concepts apply concepts developed by the author of the thesis to research embodiment, specifically eating disorders perceived as culturally conditioned phenomena. The broader goal is thus to contribute to the development of the field of anthropology of body and contribute to the development of its theoretical and empirical foundations, while its specific aim is to apply the model of anthropology of body to the research of eating disorders. The thesis proceeds from the general interpretation to the specific research agenda It is divided into three interrelated sections. The first part presents a summary of concepts and approaches to embodiment in social sciences, accentuating a diachronic perspective. In the second section the concept of embodiment is outlined introducing three structural levels. Anthropology of body serves as a starting point for tackling the issue of eating disorders. Financial education at low secondary schools in the Czech Republic

This thesis presents the concept of developing financial literacy education for pupils of low secondary schools and corresponding years of multi-annual grammar schools enshrined in the existing curriculum documents. Thesis seeks answers to the question of whether the teaching of financial literacy within the specified range has the sufficient support in civics textbooks and textbooks specialized on financial literacy, while exploring the opportunities for educating teachers, who, in majority, have not met with this theme during their university studies. In-depth interviews with second grade pupils in the period before the start of systematic financial education, whose analysis fills the sekond part of the thesis, should diagnose the level of understanding and structure of their own ideas on selected economic terms. Comparison of findings about the structure of pupils understanding of content and methods of work available teaching materials should help identify potential bottlenecks or suggest appropriate procedures to financial education program for pupils better adapt.
