Čápová, Martina ; Šerák, Michal (referee) ; Mužík, Jaroslav (advisor)
Social workers use for their profession a good deal of their personal qualities. Education is defined as a process in which a learner acquires new knowledge and skills. Consequently, these new aquisitions influence learners attitudes and OpInIOns. Thus, education forms and changes learners personality. Professional education, including social workers education, IS a part of a modern and rapidly growing concept of lifelong learning. Social services are seen either as a form of social support granted by the state, the community or by non-goverment non-profit organizations or as a means to provide social care. Social services consist of a broad spectrum of different kinds of services and accordingly, social workers education must also include a large number of different subjects and methods. Finally, difficulties raising from mandatory education of social workers will be illustrated on an example from real life.

Čápová, Magdaléna ; Lebeda, Tomáš (advisor) ; Říchová, Blanka (referee)
The electoral system in the United Kingdom is generally considered as the simplest method of voting and is associated with the functioning of the British twoparty system. The first past the post system has a capacity to strike in its outcomes, though. The aim of this paper is to analyze the development of the British party system since the 19th century up to current days. The analyze is based on the study of the general elections held between 1918 and 2005 and compares the data outputs by the indexes measuring the disproportionality, over-representation, under-representation and party system characteristics. The study discloses the weaknesses of the electoral system, which influence the shape of the party system. These weaknesses led twice to temporally deviation of outcomes in the two-party system. A special focus is given to the period after the World War 2 and current trends that are influenced by the changes in socioeconomic structure within the British society since the 70s. The main grounds of the greater electoral disproportionality are seen in the size of constituencies, over-representation of Scotland and Wales, and the increase in support for the third parties, lower turnout and tactical voting. Variety of factors is considered to answer the question about continuity or change of the British...

Oxygen application in nursing care.
ČÁPOVÁ, Michaela
Oxygen therapy or oxygen treatment belongs among the most important non-pharmacological medical treatments and it is applied in all types of establishments. It is indicated to patients with the lack of oxygen and respectively in the oxygen concentration higher than 21%. The aim of the oxygen treatment is to increase the oxygen concentration in the breathed mixture and consequently in the arterial blood in order to prevent from damaging the important tissues and organs. The nurse applies oxygen always according to the doctor´s prescription, who states the potion, the way of application, the length of application and monitoring. The treatment can be applied at spontaneous ventilation and at artificial pulmonary ventilation namely under normobaric or hyperbaric conditions. The basic presumption for the successful oxygen treatment is sufficient ventilation of the patient. Oxygen can be used from different sources such as pressure cylinders, liquid oxygen and oxygen concentrators. The thesis deals with the issue of oxygen application in the process of nursing care. The thesis is divided into two parts ? theoretical and practical. The theoretical part involves history of oxygen application, physiology and pathology of oxygen in the body, indications and contraindications of oxygen applications. Further it contains specifications of nursing care for the patient who is undergoing the oxygen therapy including possibilities of oxygen application, patient´s monitoring, sources and aids for oxygen application. For the practical ? research part of the thesis the data were found out by means of the method of questioning. I used the technique of the questionnaire which was anonymous and the questions were both closed and semi-closed. The observed team were nurses working in the hospital wards in the Písek Hospital, a.s. and in the Strakonice Hospital, a.s. The aim of the thesis was to map out specifications of nursing care for the patient when oxygen is applied and also to find out nurses knowledge of ways of oxygen application in individual wards. The information collected from nurses working in standard wards with those working in intensive care units was compared. Hypothesis no. 1, that nurses know specifications of nursing care, was proved in the research process. Hypothesis no. 2, that nurses know possible complications (risks) when oxygen is applied, was proved. Hypothesis no. 3, that nurses know ways of oxygen application, was proved, too. The aims of the thesis were fulfilled. Results of the research work were used for making the nursing standard whose aim is safe and proper oxygen application in order to prevent from harming the patient. It can be a source of information and a manual for the hospital nurses who do not use this standard yet.

Přestože přibývá počet přírodních katastrof, stále polovina občanů si svůj majetek necení natolik, aby si ho pojistila.
