This bachelor thesis gives a theoretical and practical background of Public Relations of the National Heritage Institute. The National Heritage Institute is a state-sponsored body and it has its Headquarters in Prague and Regional Branches in individual regions. This thesis analyses the process of PR in NHI and its quality and effectivity. It also analysis the decentralization of the Public Relations and its role in regions.
Creative Industries during the Economic Crisis

The subject of this theses is the sector of creative industries a its behaviour at the time of economic crisis. The theses presents teories that study creative industries and its existing conclusions, while putting into contrast different views on the premise that creative industries are the source of economic growth and employment. Creative industries have been so far studied only during the time of prosperity, however, the 2008 economic crisis enables us to study them during recession. The analytic part of this theses is therefore dedicated to studying the economy of Great Britain, and on the basis of three economic indexes describes the behaviour of the creative industries during the crisis and immediately thereafter. The theses concludes that the creative industries indeed experienced growth, however, it also points out the limitations of all existing studies, including this one.
Information design in the presentation of the outcomes of the cultural statistics of the Czech Republic.

The Master's Thesis deals with the possibility of using graphic design (data visualisation) in the presentation of outcomes of the cultural statistics. The aim of the paper is to propose a new form of the presentation of the data o help better understanding. The first part of the thesis is devoted to the definition of the terms used further in the document, particularly the definition of the categories of information design, its historical development, and its social and psychological justification. In the second part my work firstly the current form of the outcomes is assessed and then the new form based on data visualisation is suggested.
Creative cluster of Letna: dynamics, inner mechanisms and structure

The presented master thesis deals with the phenomenon of creative clustering in urban environment. The thesis is conducted in the form of a case study exploring a specific creative cluster on a micro level in order to gain insight into its dynamics, inner mechanisms and structure. The study's focus area is the neighborhood of Letna, Prague, Czech Republic where a cluster of designer and artist studios, galleries, centers for art education has formed in the last four years. Using primarily qualitative techniques, specific factors were identified as decisive for choosing this location by those individuals. The thesis focuses on inner functioning of the cluster through the insider perspective of its members and tries to identify the requirements and conditions for the emergence and development of a creative cluster. A lack of micro level research of creative clustering in the Czech Republic was a dominant motivation for conducting this thesis.
Creative Industries in the Economic and Cultural Environment in Latin America with a Focus on Venezuela

The main goal of this thesis is to evaluate and compare the efficiency of cultural and creative industries in Latin America and Venezuela in particular, hence its growing potential. The introductory part refers to the geographic and socio-economic definition of Venezuela, on which the work is more focused. The following part is a quick overview of the theory of cultural and creative industries, so that this concept could be subsequently adapted to the Latin American region. The next section is devoted to selected examples of countries and projects that significantly transformed the socio-cultural environment of the country. The second half of the thesis focuses on the cultural and creative industries in Venezuela. The various categories of the sector and cultural institutions that are dedicated to them or shielded are specified. The last two chapters of practical part focus on the current situation in the phenomenon of cultural and creative industries and events, which can currently change the whole functioning of the Venezuelan state.
I know why I vote: Analysis of media campaign

This thesis contains analysis of a media campaign I know why I vote (Vím, proč volím) which took place in 2013 and 2014. Aim of this thesis is to define tools that were used when running a media campaign, evaluate its effectiveness, and provide suggestions for further improvements. The theoretical part defines environment of a non-profit organization and specifics of its marketing and public relations strategies. The practical part analyses the campaign I know why I vote (Vím, proč volím) in accordance with used marketing, and public relations tools. It analyses press release, and by using quantitative content analysis it defines media image of the campaign. In this part, possibilities for increasing efficiency of the campaign are also suggested.
Printed media circulation sales trend analysis

This Bachelor's thesis addresses the situation and trends on the Czech printed media market. The theoretical section of the thesis deals with the most important historical milestones and describes the situation on the Czech market since its independence. A detailed sales analysis of selected printed periodicals on the basis of verified data was carried out in the practical section. The end part of the practical section is devoted to research around potential transition opportunities for periodicals from a traditional printed to a digital form. The thesis points out to facts and demonstrates the ways by which it could be possible to prevent further revenue decreases in this market.The final part of the thesis concludes with a summary of the analyzed data, on the basis of which it attempts to predict the likely future development which the market can expect.
Analysis of media strategy of Gallery of the Central Bohemian Region on example of exhibition States of mind

The thesis is focused on the analysis of media strategy of the Gallery of the Central Bohemian Region, media presentation and media coverage of its new permanent exhibition "States of mind / Beyond the image" in 2014. The theoretical part is aimed at characteristic of media, communication and media relations as a part of marketing communication. The goal of practical part is to analyze how the gallery with its exhibition is portrayed in the media, measure it and to find its pros and cons and eventually find space for improvement.
Harnessing the potential of volunteers in museums and galleries in the Czech Republic

This theses focuses on fulfilling of the potential of cooperation between volunteers and the four biggest museums and galleries in the Czech Republic (The National Museum, The National Gallery, The Moravian Museum and The Moravian Gallery). As an inspiration and comparison, the situation in The British Museum in London is addressed. The main hypothesis is that there are so few volunteers in the four mentioned institutions because they cannot and do not want to cooperate with volunteers properly and they do not even understand the basic idea of volunteering. The main aim of this theses is to identify the main barriers in the relationship and cooperation of volunteers and the four Czech museums and galleries and to provide recommendations for elimination of these problems and for improvement.
Online Marketing of Cultural Organizations: Online Marketing Strategy for Divadlo v Řeznické Theatre

The aim of this master's thesis is to examine the options and advantages of using online marketing by cultural organisations, especially theatres. The introductory part of this thesis explains essential terms related to online marketing and specifics of internet media. It also gives an overview of internet marketing tools, which can be effectively used in communication of cultural organizations. A second part of the thesis is focused on developing online marketing strategy for the Divadlo v Řeznické Theatre. The strategy is based on information obtained from a research carried out by the author of this thesis. The research includes a situation analysis, benchmarking, interview with marketing manager of Divadlo v Řeznické and a survey research made among the theatre visitors.
