This Bachelor's thesis addresses the situation and trends on the Czech printed media market. The theoretical section of the thesis deals with the most important historical milestones and describes the situation on the Czech market since its independence. A detailed sales analysis of selected printed periodicals on the basis of verified data was carried out in the practical section. The end part of the practical section is devoted to research around potential transition opportunities for periodicals from a traditional printed to a digital form. The thesis points out to facts and demonstrates the ways by which it could be possible to prevent further revenue decreases in this market. The final part of the thesis concludes with a summary of the analyzed data, on the basis of which it attempts to predict the likely future development which the market can expect.
