Education students with different motherly language in selected elementary schools in Prague

This diploma tesis describes education students with different motherly language in the Czech Republic. On a theoretical level, it explains more common concepts of migration, as well as concepts related to the education of foreign students. It also introduces the number of foreign students attending Czech primary schools and primary schools in the capital city of Prague. The thesis describes the school legislation concerning education students with different motherly language, financing possibilities of the Czech language courses, and also presents with non-governmental non-profit organizations active in this field. On the practical level, the thesis focuses on different systems of education of students with a different motherly language in three primary schools in the capital city of Prague. The thesis describes how individual schools organize teaching of Czech as a second language, which support measures in the education of students with a different motherly language they provide, what special study materials they use and what extra services they offer to these students. The role of the teacher in the elementary education of socially disadvantaget pupils

The thesis deals with the role played by the teacher in the education of pupils growing up in conditions of social exclusion. The aim of the thesis is to understand the relationship between elementary school and the education of pupils with special educational needs. The author wants to find out how teachers cope with the requirements of inclusive education in their day-to-day practice. Another issue is whether pupils growing up in conditions of social exclusion have access to institutionalized help and what role play teachers in accessing this assistance. The author proceeds through qualitative research. The theoretical basis for research work is the concept of social exclusion and the concept of teacher role in the level of expectation, concept and performance. The thesis presents a legislative framework which formulates the state's current expectations towards schools in the education of pupils with specific educational needs. This thesis focuses on the relation of a Roma pupil and a school from the point of view of a teacher. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part is divided into four subtopics. The first subtopic is dedicated to the Roma in Czech society, their differentiation, the social situation of the Roma, the relation between the majority and the minority, and especially the conflicts between the majority and the minority. The second theme deals with the Roma family, how it looked in the past and what it is today. It also focuses on the education of children by gender and the family's influence on the child's success in school. The third theme deals with the education of the Roma and especially with pre-school, primary and secondary education. The fourth theme describes communication with Roma parents. The attitudes and experience of Primary school teachers with inclusion of pupils with mental disabilities

The thesis deals with the issue of inclusive education of pupils with mild intellectual disabilities in Czech mainstream schools focusing on attitudes and experiences of teachers of a selected elementary school on this issue. The theoretical part defines the concept of inclusion in the context of the Czech educational system and legislative measures related to this topic. It summarizes the concept of intellectual disability, describes what an intellectual disability is, what families of a child with intellectual disabilities are facing, and defines the specifics of educating a pupil with an intellectual disability. It also deals with special educational needs and measures for the education of pupils with this disability, which are embedded in the education act and aim to support the inclusive education of pupils with mild intellectual disabilities. The empirical part of the thesis analyses the interviews with teachers of a selected elementary school in the Central Bohemian Region. While conducting the research, the semi-structured interviews were gathered and the attitudes of teachers towards the explored issues were described. The final part summarizes and graphically elaborates findings of the qualitative research and suggests recommendations for possible further research and teaching practice.
Playing and socialization of preschool children with mental and multiple disabilities compared with peers

The topic of the bachelor thesis is Playing and socialization of pre-school age children with mental disability and combined disability compared to peers. The theoretical basis of the thesis are the findings of developmental and social psychology of pre-school child, special pedagogy especially psychopedics and game theory. These research methods are used in the thesis: Observation of selected groups of children and questionnaires for teachers and parents of these children. The supplementary method is also an interview with parents, children and educators. Thesis takes into account the individual anamnesis of the persons (children) undergoing research. The aim of the thesis is to compare the influence of the play on the social development of a sample of pre-school age children with mental and combined disabilities with intact children of the same age in order to find out how the playing influences the social development of these children and which differences in the socialization of these two groups occur. This diploma thesis deals with life perspective problems of clients in Institutional Treatment Institut that are captured in their several personal narratives and subsequently processed by the method of narrative analysis. The diploma thesis is focused on the partial, lively, personal, unique and subjective experience of the clients in the Institutional Treatment Institut, aiming to understand their lives within contextual connections and to reflect their future life perspectives. The thesis has a theoretical-application character. The attention of the theoretical part is paid to problems of behavioral and emotional disorders, their classifications, causes and other contexts, as well as the topic of prevention and therapy of behavioral and emotional disorders, with the greatest attention being paid to institutional education. The author is also interested in the period of adolescence. Support for reading pre-literacy in preparatory classes

This diploma thesis focuses on the support of reading preliteracy in preparatory classes. The theoretical part discusses literacy in general, reading literacy as its key domain and literacy as preparation for acquiring knowledge. The support role of family and preschool is defined. Further this thesis discusses preparatory classes, school maturity of pre-school children and postponement of compulsory school attendance as an indicator for admission to preparatory classes. The aim of this research was to find out how teachers support reading literacy in preparatory classes. Data was obtained through semi-structured interviews with teachers of preparatory classes for the school year 2017/2018. The research questions focused on the population of preparatory classes, methods and practices of teachers to support reading literacy, collaboration with other professionals and organizations supporting reading literacy and the tools used in teaching. The experiences of teachers of preparatory classes show that the respondents are interested in reading literacy and are knowledgeable in this issue.
