Public employment services from the perspective of unemployed people

The bachelor thesis deals with the qualitative research issues of perception and evaluation of public employment services from the long term unemployed job seekers point of view. Attention is focused on their own personal experiences with Job centre staff and with some provided services, namely with retraining, job clubs, placement and counselling. Also, the goal is to find out if the job seekers themselves believe in finding a job via this institution, alternatively if they notice some barriers within functioning of the Job centre that would hinder them from finding a job. This paper is not limited only to the statements of facts but seeks to identify at least partly the phenomenons that can be hidden behind these evaluations and because of this reason there was qualitative method used in the research.
Prevention programmes against cyber-bullying in the Czech rep.

The subject of my bachelor work is cyber bullying as one of forms classic bullying and theoretical and practical prevention of this phenomenon. This work focus mainly on a way, in which is this new form of bullying solved and what programmes are existing in the Czech republic specifically to prevent cyberbullying. These programmes are evaluated. The bachelor work contains definition of the term cyberbullying in wider understanding - At first the work focuses on classic bullying, then the role of cyberspace in social interaction. Another basic theory for my work is theory of evaluation. Next part of the work is definition of the term cyberbullying as a social problem. This part includes forms and instruments of cyberbullying. I also pay attention on specific cases of cyberbullying in the Czech republic and abroad. Further there are researches and legislation about this topic in the Czech republic and abroad. The next part focuses on prevention of cyberbullying in our country - advices for stakeholders (children, parents, teachers) dealing with social patological phenomena. Miriam Kotrusová Ph.D. The year of presentation: 2012 Abstract This bachelor thesis deals with the work with socially vulnerable families in the Czech Republic. Experts agree that the system of care for vulnerable families in the Czech Republic is below the level of developed countries. The system is fragmented among several ministries, there is no uniform and enforceable standard of quality work with socially vulnerable families, there is no independent authority to oversee compliance with the Convention on the Rights of Child. Guarantor of help for socially vulnerable families is the state, but there is lack of social workers, who work intensively with the family. The result is the high number of children in institutional care. Experts prepare reform steps to streamline the system of care for socially vulnerable families in the Czech Republic - the numbers of children in institutional care should reduce by preventive programs and work with a family. Women between family and work. Conditions for harmonization of work and family in Prague

Diploma thesis "Women between family and work: Conditions for harmonization of work and family in Prague" is focused on current problem which is being dealt with on national as well as supranational level. The aim of this thesis is to describe the factors influencing harmonization of family and professional life of the mothers with children from two to six years old in region of Prague and find out whether the policy of state and regional governments reflect these factors. Chosen factors are described from the macro perspective but individual influences are also dealt with. On one hand the attention is allocated to state policy, especially from the point of view of Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, but also from the point of selected municipality - municipal authority of Prague and municipality Prague 17.
The conditions of university - educated mothers of little children re-entering the labour market in the Czech republic.

Diploma thesis "The conditions of university - educated mothers of little children re- entering the labour market in the Czech republic" deals with reasons of long term interruption of qualified womens' career. The most frequently, they stay at home taking care of children three years, inspite of the fact, that they are motivated by their human capital and their need of self fulfillment to get back to their job as soon as possible. The thesis is based on the assumption that there is a substantial tension between work and family life of university - educated women. The thesis identifies which factors influence the period these women stay away the labour market. Besides a human capital, there is a frame of the family and institutional policy, a kind of household division of labour and culture context. The thesis focuses on tertiary - educated mothers' preference on their professional and household engagement. It also focuses on structural conditions in the labour market, institutional policy and the role of employer in reconciliation of work and family life. The thesis brings a contribution for its focus on university - educated women with their specific characteristics, and for its focus on employers' family - friendly activities.
Targeting of active labour market programmes in the CR

The bachelor thesis "Targeting of active labour market programmes in Czech Republic" deals with used early assessment methods, selection criteria to individual active employment policy programs and finally with evaluation of targeting of labour market programmes by labour office workers. The first part deals with explaining the essential concepts related to the targeting of active labour market programmes. The thesis then briefly introduced the idea of active employment policies, as well as active labour market programmes. The following present the possible ways of targeting these programs, at the end of the first part are listed the possible methods of identifying high-risk candidates. The second part consists of the results of qualitative analysis that was conducted through interviews with labour office workers. Based on these interviews it is clear that for these workers the most important is individual approach to each job seeker.

Bachelor thesis "Reasons of increasing cohabitation in the Czech Republic or why people don't get married nowadays" deals with circumstances that could have influenced increase of cohabitation in Czech republic after 1989 and is searching reasons of unmarried couples for favouring this type of relationship. It brings an overview of theories that explains changes in family behaviour - part of which is also expansion of cohabitation - in developed societies existing in second half of 20th century. These emphasize mainly economical and cultural reasons. Furthermore it defines cohabitation and its two types: premarital cohabitation and cohabitation as alternative of marriage. The work describes evolution of cohabitation in our area in context of changes of family behaviour after year 1989. Considering theories it focuses on value of marriage - which is still high in our society - and also on former and recent state policy that influence expediency of marriage and cohabitation. Despite the fact that cohabitation is not made more favourable than marriage, supporting of marriage decreased. Role of educational system in integration of people with mental retardation

This thesis is focused on analysis of educational system during the process of integration of mental disabled pupils - especialy during basic education at primary schools in mainstreaming. Characteristics of the educational system and its opportunities, considering the specification of mental disability, is the main intention of this dissertation. Another accents are put on main problems in educational system for mentaly disabled people as well as designing the ways that lead to improvement of attainment of pupils with special needs.There are used methods of expert investigation - especially of interviews with principal actors and question-forms. Basis for this are: rights of everyone to recieve education, premise that everyone is educatable and theory of streel level-byrocracy. Detailed look is focused on terms 'integration' and 'inclusion' plus its explanation in terms of matters that is related to education of mental disabled pupils. Issue is incorporated to the wider international and juridical connection. Labour market Inequalities between men and women. The case OBI Ruzyně.

The results of surveys and estimates ratify that before men and women exist permanently to many inequalities in the labor market, which lead to make women disadvantageous in labour process. In my work I decribed and explained the most important and most frequent inequalities, which are in the labour market. The most frequent inequalities are different salary of men and women and different access of employers to women, which simultaneously penetrate into others types of inequalities. I simultaneously described factors inductive these economic inequalities. The most important economic inequality are educational attainment, field of aducation and family situation. Next part of my work is case study, that researche inequalities before men and women in Obi Ruyzně company. This company is special because of belong to services idustry, where women work most frequently and company that sell technical products assortments that are "typical" for men. In this company are special inequalities. This case study look about inequalities nad access of employment to men and women.
Employment Policy in the Czech and Slovac Republics

Bachelor thesis "Employment policy in Czech and Slovak Republic" deals with analysis of employment policy emergence from 1989 to 2011. After the fall of communism rised unemployment and very important was react to it. In 1991 were created principles of employment policy. At this moment is necessarily adapt this policy to economics and labour market situation. That brings many legislative changes. Exactly this problem I am describing in my thesis. Institucional and legislative development is supported by analysis of employment policy, economics and social kontext. Comparation of all analyses brings collection of details and differences in their development.
