The subject of this diploma thesis are teachers who are in touch with children with hyperkinetic syndrome. The aim is to map teachers' awareness of the ADHD phenomenon, their experience with children with ADHD, and last but not least, strategies for working with children with ADHD. In the first part of this study, the reader will find theoretical information about hyperkinetic syndrome, specifically about history, aetiology, epidemiology, manifestations, subtypes, diagnosis, comorbidities, treatment, and work with children with ADHD. The theoretical information serves as a basis for the second practical part, which examines whether teachers are informed about this theory and whether it is somehow reflected in their experiences. The second empirical part describes both the methodology of the study and the results themselves. The study was carried out cyclically and the phases of the process of data collection and data evaluation were intertwined. At the same time, the snowball research method was used. The analysed individual information pick up more information, thus creating a stimulus for further research. Concerning the objectives of this work, a qualitative type of investigation was chosen. The collected results are supported by case studies and subsequently verified by basic statistical analyses.
Use of experience in the prevention of risky behavior
Palyov, Pavel ; Hanková, Zdeňka (advisor) ; Richterová, Magdalena (referee)
The topic of this thesis is the use of experience in risky behaviour. The work is divided into four chapters. The first three chapters are theoretical. In the first chapter, we deal with preventive risk behaviour and related legislation, the role of prevention methodology and other workers, the status of the school prevention program together with the use of classroom hours; followed by teaching a separate subject of health education. The second chapter describes individual types of risky behaviour (regarding occurrence among pupils in elementary schools), their specific signs and manifestations. The last theoretical chapter deals with experiential pedagogy, its starting points, basic principles, and methods. We also present selected experiential programs that are used specifically for risky behaviour in selected educational facilities. The goal of the work is to find out what the experience of prevention methodology is with the use of experiential pedagogy methods in the prevention of risky behaviour. We pursue this goal in the practical part of the thesis. We analyse the results of a questionnaire survey that took place among the prevention methodology of selected Prague schools. Here we focus primarily on the use of experiential pedagogy methods that are taught in elementary schools. Next, we...
Mapping the role of the child in generation gap
Hrdličková, Michaela ; Zvírotský, Michal (advisor) ; Richterová, Magdalena (referee)
In my bachelor's thesis entitled Mapping the role of the child in intergenerational relationships using case studies, I focused on the important role of family upbringing in the life of the child and his/her relationship with the grandparents. Through qualitative research I looked for differences in parenting. In my small scale research sample, I met children who showed interest in their grandparents. In my work, I examined both people who are caring or have cared for a loved one and their reasons for doing so, as well as the elderly who are being cared for. I was interested in how satisfied they are with their care, and whether there is a difference between seniors who are intensively cared for by their loved ones or who are dependent on the care of other people in a facility. From the questionnaires I found out that people who care for someone regularly are extremely mentally and physically exhausted, but they do it gladly and with love. Some feel it is an obligation, but if they are able to provide care themselves, they always want to take care of their loved one. Seniors, whether living at home or in a facility, are happy to have someone helping them with their care and they are not alone. How each person deals with their old age is very individual, it depends on their satisfaction with the...

Láníčková, Michaela ; Richterová, Magdalena (advisor) ; Linková, Marie (referee)
This thesis focuses on communication in a primary school between management and teaching staff. The theoretical part defines the concepts of communication, spoken communication, i.e. face-to-face meetings, telephone calls, meetings and written communication, i.e. e-mail communication. Furthermore, the concepts of school management and teaching staff are defined. The practical part describes the research sample of the selected primary school and further consists of a questionnaire survey to find out the type of communication prevalent in the school, its frequency and the preferences of the type of communication among the management and teaching staff. This was supplemented by semi-structured interviews, these were conducted with one respondent each from the respondent group i.e. one first grade teacher, one second grade teacher, one teaching assistant and one representative from the management. The survey revealed that the most preferred and also dominant form of communication was email communication, then face-to-face meeting was preferred, on the contrary, telephone call was not the preferred type of communication and there was a disagreement between the management and teaching assistants who were more comfortable with this type of communication with first and second grade teachers. This is...
