Inclusive Volunteering - The volunteer activity of people with a disability
Marková, Aneta ; Pospíšilová, Tereza (advisor) ; Frič, Pavol (referee) ; Matulayová, Tatiana (referee)
Volunteering is a phenomenon that appeals to researchers, representatives of international institutions and governments in some countries, as a tool of social policy. Current research shows positive benefits of volunteering for the society but also for volunteers themselves. In this context, a new phenomenon, called inclusive volunteering, is emerging, which emphasizes that volunteering is open to all people in the society. At present, however, this phenomenon is not fully elucidated and researches that examine volunteering from the point of view of volunteers themselves, when considering inklusive volunteering, are very rare. The presented work aims to fill in the missing knowledge and thus contribute to the recognition of the phenomenon of volunteering through research of the previously very little known group of volunteers with a disability. The research sample consists of 27 volunteers with a disability who were interviewed. The interviews were analysed by the Strauss and Corbin's theory. The research has revealed that volunteers with a disability are experiencing a lack of social participation due to the absence of a socially valuable social role. The absence of a social role encourages the search for a new socially valuable social role that the volunteers with a disability find in...
Development of a sensing platform for the study of physiological functions of living cells
Marková, Aneta ; Víteček, Jan (referee) ; Vala, Martin (advisor)
The aim was to develop a sensing platform on the base of organic electrochemical transistor (OECT). The focus was on the preparation of proper electrode system and on optimalization of properties of thin layer of organic semiconductor. As a base, commercial glass substrates with integrated indium-tin oxide electrodes were chosen. Thin layers were prepared from organic semiconductor poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) by spin-coating. Four formulations of material were studied. Layers with different thickness were prepared and the dependence of transconductance on the thickness of the layer and ratio of width and length was observed. The degradation of electrode system was solved by galvanic plating with gold. Attention was also paid to modifications to PEDOT: PSS. It has been found that the optimal layer thickness for use in sensors is approximately 150 nm. By reducing the series resistance by using a silver paste, the transconductance of 23 mS was obtained for the Ink 2, for the Ink 3 the transconductance was 44 mS. Sensoric platforms with these transconductances can be used for detection of physiological functions of electrogenic cells, e.g. cardiomyocytes.
Evaluation of veterinary inspection in food safety
MARKOVÁ, Aneta
Healthy hygiene surveillance is carried out at all stages of the production process, from raw materials to the sale of animal products. The aim of this diploma thesis was to evaluate the results of inspections of the food processing industry which are carried out by the State Veterinary Administration of the Czech Republic (SVA CR). The specific focus was on the monitoring for foreign substances and the results of hygienic inspections done in food processing industry, mainly in dairy sector. Regular monitoring was the likely cause for the steadily decreasing number of positive findings in the samples which were tested for foreign substances. In the evaluation of the veterinary and hygiene audits carried out by the SVA CR, it was found that the dairy sector attained superior results as compared to other animal product sectors.
Václav Jan Tomášek (1774-1850): Requiem in E flat Major from the Ledenice Parish Church
MARKOVÁ, Aneta
Václav Jan Tomášek (1774-1850) was an important figure of the Czech music history in the first half of the 19th century. His composition called Requiem Es dur was found at the choir loft of the church of St. Lawrence in Ledenice. This composition cannot be found in any list of Tomášek's works. The main aim of this thesis is to do an edition and analysis of this specific composition. Moreover, this work will be focused on Tomášek's relation to the South Bohemian region, as he used to be a music teacher of the counts of the family of Buquoy.
Stable isotopes in study of diet in Ursidae, including fossil taxa.
Marková, Aneta ; Horáček, Ivan (advisor) ; Čermák, Stanislav (referee)
Composition of food of members of the family Ursidae is often discussed topic. Up to now, however, there is some uncertainty about the trophic level of some fossil groups. Very useful method which helps us to determine the trophic level of the fossil species and determine the relative proportion of plant and animal components in the recent ones is the analysis of the stable isotopes. This study summarizes present state of methodological approaches and possibilities of use of the stable isotopes 13 C and 15 N in the study of foraging ecology of bears. The results of the analysis of stable isotopes are presented together with results obtained by other methods. Attention is paid to groups for which the relevant isotopic data are available, with special emphasis on the cave bear, which trophic level is evaluated on the basis of stable isotopes analysis as well as in the evolutionary and nutrition context.

Organic tranistors for sensorics
Marková, Aneta ; Omasta, Lukáš (referee) ; Vala, Martin (advisor)
The aim was to find the best available commercial formulation of poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrene sulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) and methods and subsequent treatment of thin films for organic electrochemical transistors (OECT). These films will be used in bioelectronic sensors to measure the physiological function of cardiomyocytes. Studied material was PEDOT:PSS in six different formulations. Thin layers prepared by spin coating were modified in three ways, namely (i) immersion in ethylene glycol, (ii) drying and (iii) a combination of drying and ethylene glycol. The layers were then tested for the influence of ethylene glycol, thermal stability, the impact of storage, influence of aqueous medium, and additional thermal annealing. According to the results obtained, the most suitable treatment of most materials was immersion in ethylene glycol followed by thermal annealing of the layer. It was found that the most appropriate material formulation was Sigma Aldrich 739 316 treated by the combination of drying, immersion in ethylene glycol and thermal annealing.
The use of artificial and semi-artificial spawning in the present breeding of common carp
MARKOVÁ, Aneta
This thesis is focused on the use of artificial and semi-artificial spawning substrates in the current breeding of common carp (Cyprinus carpio, L.) a literature review of this species was processed in relation to reproduction, as well as of the spawning methods (natural, semi-artificial, artificial). Results are drawn from the experimental part (2 spawns: a semi-artificial spawn in the institution for experiments at the Fishery School in Vodňany and an artificial spawn in the fish hatchery at the Research Institute of Fish Culture and Hydrobiology in Vodňany). In both spawns, hormonal stimulation of brood stock was carried out. In the artificial spawning the amount of obtained sex products of individual breeds was assessed. At the same time, a questionnaire survey was conducted at 11 fish-breeding companies engaged in their own production of yolk sac fry. The responses obtained from the survey and findings from the experimental part of spawnings were compared with bibliographic sources which the following conclusions were reached from. It was confirmed that at present a massive carp fingerling production from artificial spawn ensuring optimized conditions dominates over the Dubravius method of semi-artificial spawning which is used only rarely. The production of mirror carp is currently higher than the production of scaly carp. Among the bred mirror breeds the Hungarian mirror carp (M2) prevails, nonetheless it depends on the individual fishery company which form of carp they choose to satisfy the market demand.
