Robotic table football - control of game axes
Sláma, Ondřej ; Lang, Stanislav (referee) ; Parák, Roman (advisor)
The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to build on top of already developed solution of B&R Automation's robotic table football and to improve existing problematic areas. Particularly aiming at modularization of the axis control software and subsequent dynamic motion optimization. In the introductory part of the thesis already developed solution are discussed as well as brief description of B&R company and research on the topic of electric drive control. Following chapters describe the implementation of axis control software along with the design of two types of dynamic optimization. The thesis was extended with design of module for human axis detection along with simulation and implementation of proposed signal filtering algorithms developed in the MATLAB development environment.
Traveling Crab 360 t
Sláma, Ondřej ; Kubín, Martin (referee) ; Pokorný, Přemysl (advisor)
The topic of this diploma thesis is the frame of the foundry crane with load capacity 360 t. The frame is analysed by strength inspection and fatigue strength inspection according to norm ČSN EN 13001. The analysis are made by using finite element method on shell model. The diploma thesis was made in cooperation with Královopolská a.s. company.
Dishwasher for workpieces
Sláma, Ondřej ; Klapka, Milan (referee) ; Brandejs, Jan (advisor)
This thesis is elaborated design of the washing box of dishwasher for workpieces. The target is for the composition of the strength calculations and drawings washing box. Dishwasher size 1000x1000 mm enables automatic cleaning and degreasing workpieces weighing up to 250 kg.
Vzdušný hokej - machine vision and game strategy
Sláma, Ondřej ; Lang, Stanislav (referee) ; Matoušek, Radomil (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to implement a robotic air hockey table in cooperation with the work of Dominik Jašek [37] . Specifically, the work deals with the implementation of simulation software that models behavior of robotic air hockey table, designing a game strategy for the robot and detecting position of a puck situated on the playing field. In addition, the work was extended by integrating said software modules under one control application and creating a user interface for controlling and managing all the functionalities of the robotic table through a capacitive touch screen.
Nutrition in Palliative Care
Zedníková, Daniela ; Sláma, Ondřej (advisor) ; Kabelka, Ladislav (referee)
This thesis deals with nutrition in palliative care. The main aim is to introduce the issue of nutrition in palliative care, to help with a comprehensive perception of the context and the application of a palliative approach in nutritional care. The aim is to monitor and examine the current state of nutrition in facilities providing palliative care in the Czech Republic. The work is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is focused on the issues of palliative care, nutrition and hydration. The practical part contains the objectives of the work, hypotheses and research with evaluation and analysis of the obtained data. There were two hypotheses established and evaluated. From a methodological point of view, a combination of several research methods of a quantitative nature was used. As a means of obtaining data, the use of the survey in the form of an internet survey was sent to the management of individual facilities providing palliative care in the Czech Republic. The obtained data were processed using standard statistical methods. Using descriptive statistics procedures in the form of analysis of the obtained results, especially with the use of absolute and relative frequency. The total number of 97 questionnaires were distributed. 18 questionnaires for hospices, 70...

The Importance of Non-Price Competitiveness: Oil Downstream Sector in Europe
Sláma, Ondřej ; Baxa, Jaromír (advisor) ; Paulus, Michal (referee)
This thesis investigates the role of price and non-price competitiveness factors using a relative export price index, introduced by Benkovskis and Wörz (2016), that is adjusted for changes in quality and taste. First, we replicate their model employing an updated dataset, confirming previous results. Then, the framework is used to study the recent developments in the Europe's oil product market. Given the saturation of the market, decreasing demand, and converging prices, importance of non-price competitiveness factors, such as quality, increases. The results suggest that the problems of the underinvested oil downstream industry in Northwestern European producers are caused not only by decreasing aggregate demand, high costs, and low margins, but by non-price competitiveness factors as well. We find profound improvements in product quality in CEE countries, following substantial investments into the sector and market consolidation. Both regions are at risk of rising imports of high-quality products from the Middle East, Russia and USA. This thesis provides a comprehensive picture of price and non-price competitiveness developments of all players in the highly competitive European oil downstream market.
Growing Role of Switzerland in Commodity Trade
Sláma, Ondřej ; Janský, Petr (advisor) ; Fišerová, Tereza (referee)
Growing Role of Switzerland in Commodity Trade Ondřej Sláma Abstract This thesis assesses causes and consequences of Switzerland becoming the world's leading commodity hub. In both the replication and the extension of existing esti- mates, I find support for the hypothesis that Switzerland declares unusually higher (re-)export prices for commodities which are also on average under-priced as devel- oping country exports to Switzerland. The transfer pricing manipulation process implies a potential capital loss for commodity exporting countries along with other movement of either illicit or illegal financial flows. The highest annual estimate of $117 billion loss for developing countries trading with Switzerland suggests substan- tial issue in times of development aid turmoil. I attribute such grievous matters to Switzerland's low effort to meet international norms of international trade and trade transparency. The transfer pricing manipulation might also serve as a vehicle for money laundering, terrorist financing, corruption, or tax and tariff evasion and avoidance, as the data imply.
