Steam Turbine in the Combi Cycle
Filoušová, Natálie ; Kracík, Petr (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
Diploma thesis named Steam turbine in the combi cycle deals with design of low pressure part of three-body turbine and it’s lateral outlet throat to the air condenser. Before the design itself, the thermal schema of entire turbine is calculated. Than follows the detail draft, the strength calculations are included as well. Turbine has any technological consumption of steam or any regenerativ consumption. Turbine will be suplly to Panama. The thesis includes following drawings: cut of flowing part, design of outlet throat and fixing of inner body in outer body of low pressure part. The diploma thesis is created for Doosan Škoda Power company.
Process control improvement
Čupera, Petr ; Kotek, Luboš (referee) ; Fiala, Alois (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the improvement of non-compliance management processes in the production company supplying the railway industry. The theoretical part explains the basic characteristics and principles of process control. In the practical part, the current state of non-compliance management processes is analyzed from many points of view and potentials for improvement ire identified. Based on identified potentials, specific measures are proposed to improve the current situation and also give the expected benefits to company after the proposed measures have been put in place.
Study of potential of heat transfer enhancement in process plant
Němeček, Zbyněk ; Kilkovský, Bohuslav (referee) ; Jegla, Zdeněk (advisor)
This diploma thesis is a study of the potential of heat transfer enhancement in the process of hydrogenation refining of oil. The simulation of the process and the heat-hydraulic analysis of the heat exchanger network are performed using the software tools. Based on the obtained results and the results of the optimization study, a new heat exchanger is placed in the process and its parameters are subject to further calculations. The aim is to study the possibilities of heat transfer enhancement for the newly used heat exchanger and to discuss aspects connected with the use of selected software.
Flat Plates Vibrations
Zajac, Roman ; Řehák, Kamil (referee) ; Prokop, Aleš (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on vibration of the planar plates. It includes the computational and experimental approaches used to determine the mode shapes and frequencies (eigenvalues) of planar plates. This paper compares the analytical, numerical and experimental results of the modal analysis specifically the free-standing rectangular planar plate. The work also encompasses forced oscillation with harmonious excitement as a continuation of the obtained results from modal analysis.
Measuring of wind parameters on board a small airplane
Helia, Petr ; Hammer, Jaromír (referee) ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (advisor)
This diploma thesis examines the influence of wind on civil aviation safety. Author investigates the methods of wind measuring on board of small airplane and identifies the most common individual errors.
Design of a Robotic Cell for robotic machining
Husar, Tomáš ; Kubela, Tomáš (referee) ; Pochylý, Aleš (advisor)
The main task of this master thesis is design of robotic deburring workcell. The thesis informs about basic requests of object deburring using industrial robots. From layout variants, the one most suitable is picked. Chosen variant contains proper clamping solution as well as deburring tool and safety requirements. The concept design of robotic deburring cell in 3D visualization is the result of this diploma thesis.
Design of Optometric Equipment for Basic Eye Examination
Běťáková, Vendula ; Noga, Pavel (referee) ; Rubínová, Dana (advisor)
The goal of this bachelor thesis is a proposal design of optometric device for primary examination of eye vision, which should respect the functional requirements and conceptualize the technical and aesthetic aspects. The work includes a study of the current market situation and development of new technologies in the field. The proposal deals with an ergonomic design and issues.
Structural design of heat exchanger pair
Pernica, Marek ; Buzík, Jiří (referee) ; Naď, Martin (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with structural design of twin heat exchanger with vertically stacked horizontal vessels according to CSN EN 13 445 standard. Brief introduction and basic characteristics of shell and tube heat exchangers is performed in the beginning part of the thesis. Design of the heat exchanger was initially performed using design by formula (DBF), which was verified by specialized software Sant´Ambrogio. Since this approach does not include methods for assessment of the nonstandard connection between the vessels, simulations of significant load states were performed using FEM analyses followed by result evaluation using stress categories.
Proposal for Process Control of the Honing Operation
Gavač, Adam ; Šandová, Marcela (referee) ; Sedlák, Josef (advisor)
The study investigates potential of promising combination of Lean principles and Industry 4.0 tools in order to find a solution for control of manufacturing process. Firstly, each of the buzzwords is defined and their relation is explained. Then, rules which will facilitate implementation of I4.0 tools into Lean production are enumerated. Afterwards, situation at the shopfloor is observed and statistical analysis of production data is done to analyze current manufacturing process. Deep investigation revealed strong potential for improvement, which was the motive to elaborate a proposal for Lean automated process control.
Turbocharger Rotors using Rolling Bearings
Šárovec, Marek ; Dlugoš, Jozef (referee) ; Novotný, Pavel (advisor)
The main purpose of this diploma thesis is to design turbocharger rotor using rolling element bearings. The diploma thesis is compiled from two specialized search parts dealing with turbocharger rotor and rolling element bearing computation, respectively. The application of the particular rotor using the multi body system Adams – View is described in the following chapter. In the last chapter, one can find the comparison between rotor using bearing with steal and hybrid ceramic rolling element. Also, there is compariosn between rolling element bearing and journal bearing. In the maximum rotor speed, the decrease of more than 50 % in power loss, due to usage of rolling element bearing, resulted from this comparison.
