The paradigms of Uzbek identity
Ibragimova, Bibimaryam ; Horák, Slavomír (advisor) ; Šír, Jan (referee)
The research paper examines the question of Uzbek identity, and how it was pictured and presented by Soviet scholars and historians of independent Uzbekistan. After the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, Uzbekistan announced its independence. One of the important questions on the agenda was the question of national identity. It was up to the newly independent state what they build their ideology on. Soviet historiography had different options for the origin of Uzbeks: some stated that history of Uzbeks starts from the 10th century; some suggested that it was the nomadic tribes to have entered the territory of the present Central Asia in the 15th century. The new government of Uzbekistan somehow continued with the Soviet tradition by following the idea that Uzbeks originate from the 10th century. There is even a group who dates the origin of Uzbeks back to the 1st millennium B.C. The literature written on Uzbek identity can be divided into two approaches taken: primordialism and constructivism. Both Soviet and Uzbek historiography base their thoughts on primordialistic approach, explaining that Uzbek identity is a long and complex process of ethno-genesis and that is associated through blood, language, religion, culture, etc. Whereas constructivists are explaining that Uzbeks as a nation appeared...
Improving Type Inference in the C# Language
Husák, Tomáš ; Ježek, Pavel (advisor) ; Parízek, Pavel (referee)
C# is a strongly typed language utilizing type inference to save type annotations writ- ten by a programmer. However, the type inference is not as strong as other programming languages like Rust or Haskell. This thesis goal was to propose the C# language improve- ment which would improve the current type inference and would be likely accepted by the C# language design team. For this achievement, we analyzed Rust's type inference and observed necessary language requirements and type inference restrictions based on Hindley-Millner's formalization of type inference. These observations were used to pro- pose a language improvement consisting of two parts. The first part is a C# specification change describing the improvement by adjusting formal C# specification. This part was presented to the C# language design team which resulted in a positive reaction where the team decided to keep moving forward with the proposal to make it available in the future C# language version. The second part is an implementation of the improvement in the official C# language compiler, Roslyn. The implementation is tested by using the original compiler tests and new tests testing the proposal functionality. 1

Hmirová, Sára ; Vařeková, Jitka (advisor) ; Pavlová, Ilona (referee)
Title: Motivational intervention in primary school and its effect on physical activity of older school- age children Objectives: The main aim of the thesis was to investigate the possibilities of implementation and the influence of a complex motivational intervention program on physical activity (PA) of older school-age children during a two-month period within the school educational process. Methods: The effect of a two-month motivational programme on the promotion PA was examined in a mixed-methods research design with a group of 50 Year 7 pupils (28 girls and 22 boys, aged 12 to 13 years). The intervention included thematic educational lectures, physical education moments, learning in motion, motivational activities in physical education and active breaks between lessons. A school sports day and a sports trip were also implemented. The data collection methods used in the pre-test and post-test were: a questionnaire to monitor PA level and motor testing. Observational and descriptive methods were used throughout the programme. Teacher (n=7) focus group interviews and a student (n=50) survey were used to evaluate the program. Results: All planned activities of the motivational intervention were successfully implemented. In the feedback, both teachers and pupils responded positively to the...
The use of outdoor environtment in crossfit training
Sovová, Michaela ; Bačáková, Radka (advisor) ; Brtník, Tomáš (referee)
Title: The use of outdoor environtment in crossfit training Objectives: The main objective of the thesis is to find out whether CrossFit practitioners include sports that can be performed outdoors in their training or competition preparation. Methods: In my bachelor thesis I used quantitative research. The quantitative research was primarily focused on determining the extent to which outdoor sports were used and integrated into Crossfit training in a broad sample of exercisers, whether they were competitors or "recreational" enthusiasts. A total of 126 respondents completed the questionnaire. Results: A total of 126 respondents completed the survey. The survey showed a 67 % success rate associated with outdoor sporting activities. This type of activity is practiced several times a week by 46.6 % of respondents. Athletics was the most frequently chosen activity, receiving 56.7 % of the vote. 80.6 % of respondents who participate in outdoor activities plan to continue doing so. Among the 33 % of respondents who do not currently participate in outdoor sports, they most often do not have the time or are not interested in these activities. Conclusions: This thesis investigated the rate of outdoor sport use in CrossFit exercisers. The research showed positive results as more than half of the respondents...
Risk of introducton of leishmaniases into Europe
Přibylová, Helena ; Dvořák, Vít (advisor) ; Vojtková, Barbora (referee)
Leishmania is a genus of parasitic protozoa-causing disease called leishmaniasis. This disease manifests itself in some clinical forms. Proven vectors are phlebotomine sand flies (Diptera: Psychodidae) From more than 900 described species of Phlebotomus to date, probably more than 80 are proven or suspected vectors of leishmanias. The main endemic area is the Mediterranean in Europe, where the proven or suspected phlebotomine sand flies occur. Over the years, more leishmaniasis cases have been reported (more than 10,000 cases of human nonendemic leishmaniasis and more than 700 imported cases of canine leishmaniasis usually from non-endemic European countries). Imported cases of leishmaniasis are mostly reported among tourists and travellers who travel due to their professional reasons (scientists, workmen, soldiers) and migrants. Phlebotomine sand flies spread to new areas and the models, which are based on climate change and the environment, show, that this trend will continue. This thesis tries to discuss some risk factors associated with the potential risk of introducing and spreading leishmaniasis into Europe. Keywords: Leishmania, Phlebotomus, leishmaniasis, introduction, Europe, distribution, risks, hosts, vectors
Monitoring centrálních bank - prosinec 2017
Česká národní banka
Most of the central banks under review, including the ECB, are keeping their interest rates at low levels, and several are also continuing their unconventional monetary policy programmes, although the ECB, for example, has reduced its monthly asset purchases. A major exception is the US Fed, which, as expected, is continuing to raise its key interest rate and, according to outlooks, will maintain this trend next year. The UK has also seen its first rate hike in ten years. By contrast, the Hungarian central bank’s new instruments are aimed at lowering yields at the longer end of the yield curve. Spotlight focuses this time on the countercyclical capital buffer. In our Selected speech, outgoing Fed Chair Janet Yellen sums up US monetary policy over the last ten years.

MODETA JIHLAVA
Palová, Iva ; Ryška, Zbyněk (referee) ; Dýr, Petr (advisor)
The task of the diploma thesis was to develop an architectural study of the revizalization of a former textile factory for the needs of the ZOO Jihlava. The oldest part of the building was probably built at the beginning of the 20th century, but it does not fass under any kind of protection of czech heritage. The study should include a transport solution in connection with the ZOO (with an emphasis on increasing the capacity of parkong spaces), restaurants, ZOO exhibits, interactive educational elements, congress halls, short-term accommodation, a technical background of the building, the economic and energy concept of the building, the concept of planting greenery and water management solutions. The idea of the thesis is to connect the building with the ZOO, which gives visitors the opportunity to use the restaurant and continue viewing the indoor (also winter) exhibition. This creates another separate tour route. At the same time, all parts of Modeta are accessible separately outside the ZOO area.
Shapes of Growth
Gehringerová, Bára ; Těthalová, Gabriela (referee) ; Štindlová, Marie (advisor)
The author has been working on the motif of the plant in her work for a long time. She uses them as a metaphor, inspiration and a means to contemplate natural, social and psychological systems. In her bachelor's project she will develop this theme, continuing to explore the similarities between the plant and the human, both formally, in the construction of bodies, and above all in the way each entity exists, for example, in the possibilities of coping with external stresses and supportive influences, in the process of growth and development. The exploration of the plant world is a means of contemplating the human one and their interrelation. Plants thus also become a projection screen, a character narrating the social dynamics of human communities and the psychological processes of the author herself and human beings in general. The aim of the bachelor's work is to create a coherent series of paintings dealing with the theme of human experience through the symbol of the plant.
Support for people with physical disabilities in the transition from school to the labor market
Wodere, Veronika ; Hájková, Vanda (advisor) ; Zakouřilová, Hana (referee)
This thesis focuses on the topic of the transition of people with disabilities from the school environment to working life. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part presents key topics related to the transition of people with disabilities from school to the labour market, such as support in education, employment and independent living, transition programmes, employment choices and job opportunities. For the practical part, qualitative research was chosen to explore, using unstructured narrative interviews, the transition between school and employment for people with more severe physical disabilities who already have work experience. Social support from friends was found to play a key role in the job search process. Respondents had a limited choice of high schools, often opting for schools with secondary school diplomas in order to continue their studies at university, but at the same time choosing their field of study according to the school they required to be barrier- free and experienced in teaching pupils with disabilities. Motivation to seek employment was mainly financial and the desire to be useful to the labour market, while respondents did not want to spend all their time non-productively at home. None of the respondents used the transition...
New procedures for autonomous analyses of dried blood spots by capillary electrophoresis
Profousová, Sylvie ; Glatz, Zdeněk (referee) ; Dvořák, Miloš (advisor)
Collection of capillary blood in the form of dry blood spot (DBS) samples on cellulose sampling cards has been popular in clinical analysis for some time. However, in the diagnosis and monitoring of metabolic disorders and diseases, target analytes (e.g. inorganic and organic ions) are examined from blood plasma or serum. Determination of the target analytes from capillary blood or DBS samples is not the standard and reference values are not available due to the different composition of plasma/serum vs. capillary blood. Moreover, DBS sorbents have been found to release several ions into DBS eluates resulting in their contamination and, together with the effect of blood hematocrit and retention of target analytes, can adversely affect the quantitative analysis of DBS samples. For these reasons, this thesis addresses the design of an alternative concept for DBS collection that would eliminate the use of sampling sorbents and ensure the collection of a defined and precise volume of blood. The experimental part focuses on the determination of selected inorganic and organic ions (NH4+, K+, Na+, Ca2+, Mg2+, Cl, NO3, NO2, SO42, formate, lactate, and acetate) by capillary electrophoresis with capacitively coupled contactless conductivity detection (CE-C4D) in various DBS samples. All these ions are present in blood at different concentrations and can be simultaneously released as contaminants from the DBS sorbents. A non-porous polypropylene vial was used for the novel sorbentless DBS collection. A small drop of blood of defined volume (e.g. 5 l) was transferred into this vial and then dried directly therein. The selected vial is suitable for both direct DBS elution and DBS eluate analysis and is fully compatible with autosamplers of commercial CE instruments. The proposed concept of the sorbentless blood collection eliminated unwanted contamination and proved suitable for the determination of the tested cations and anions. The stability of anions was generally lower than that of cations but was still significantly better compared to standard DBS sampling sorbents. Determination of some anions appeared to be acceptable only within 0–48 hours after drying of the sorbentless DBS samples (stored at laboratory temperature), as there was a continuous increase in their content. This was probably due to microbial degradation of the blood matrix. It was confirmed that this increase could be slowed down by storing sorbentless DBS samples at low temperatures. Different blood sampling procedures have been proposed for sorbentless DBS collection that are simple, economical, convenient, and repeatable and are therefore suitable for patient-centric blood sampling as well as for sampling in medical centers. This is a basic pilot study applied only to selected analytes that served as model examples, nevertheless, based on this thesis, more extensive scientific studies will follow up to further develop the new concept of sorbentless DBS collection.
