REACTION OF SOME OXIDOREDUCTASES WITH SELECTED DONORS OF NITRIC OXIDE
Marounková, Běla ; Ryšlavá, Helena (referee)
One of the key functions of nitric oxide (NO) in human is to dilate blood vessels. Glycerol trinitrate (GTN) and other well-known NO donors together with those bearing a >C=N-OH group were tested for possible conversion to NO (or nitrites, respectively) by diaphorase (DP) and lipoamide dehydrogenase (LAD). Both, DP and LAD, were unable to convert Nω- hydroxy-L-arginine (L-NOHA). Although superoxide anion (SOD) participates to a varying extent in the conversion of donors (formaldoxime (FAL), acetaldoxime (AO), nitroprusside (NP), S-nitrosoglutathione (SNOG), S-nitroso-N-acetylpenicillamine (SNAP) and hydroxylamine (HA)), its reactive product, hydrogen peroxide, had no effect on the conversion of these donors. The ratio of formed nitrite/nitrate is important for comparison of the reactions catalyzed by DP and LAD with NO donors.
Motor performance and somatic characteristics of women
KALIŠOVÁ, Karolína
Karolína Kališová: Motor performance and somatic characteristics of women (age category 25,00 - 34,99). The aim of the thesis is to compare and evaluate the measured results of 36 women (volunteer firefighters) aged 25,00 - 34,99 years. Measurements were conducted from October 2023 to January 2024, focusing on body characteristics such as height, weight, circumferential dimensions (right arm, abdomen, hips, and right thigh), skinfold thickness (subscapular, suprailiac, above the biceps, above the triceps, on the mid-right thigh), and tests of spine mobility (Stibor's sign, Otto's sign, Schober's sign, Čepoj's sign, Thomayer's sign, and lateral flexion test). Body Mass Index (BMI) was calculated for each subject based on height and weight, along with the sum of skinfolds. The research also included the evaluation of the foot printogram and a questionnaire on life satisfaction in the areas of health, work and employment, leisure time, own person, friends and relatives with additional supplementary questions. Interesting results of the study include, for example, a comparison of our sample with 50-year-old volunteer firefighters (Douchová, 2019), where significantly higher differences were observed in older women in terms of foot arch decline (tested by Chippaux and Šmiřák, average in the flat foot category), and spine mobility (Stibor's sign, Otto's sign, Schober's sign, Čepoj's sign, Thomayer's sign) was statistically significantly less in older women except for the cervical spine (tested by Čepoj's sign).
Morphological profile of forefoot in school-age children in relation to the volume of physical activities
Bezpalec, Jakub ; Marenčáková, Jitka (advisor) ; Řasová, Kamila (referee)
Title: Morphological profile of forefoot in school-age children in relation to the volume of physical activities Objectives: The aim of the thesis is to characterize the morphological profile of the foot with an emphasis on the forefoot and to identify specific differences between selected morphological parameters of the foot in school-age children based on different volumes of physical activity: significantly physically active, moderately physically active and physically inactive children. A secondary goal is to determine the profile of physical activities performed by children of younger school age and the relationship to selected foot deformities. Methods: The diploma thesis is a scientific-research work and has the character of an observational-descriptive non-experimental study. The research group of the study consisted of school children aged 6-10 years from three primary schools in Prague (average age 8 ±1.2 years, body height 132.8 ±8.6 cm, weight 29.9 ±7.7 kg, BMI 16 .8 ±16.8). The following dependent variables were measured: foot typology, function of the windlass mechanism of the foot, metaphalangeal joint stiffness of the big toe, and forefoot deformities between groups divided by the PAQ-C/CZ physical activity questionnaire. Questionnaire methods, a 3D leg scanner and selected clinical...
Strain-stress analysis of fixed bone of foot
Zapletal, Jakub ; Fuis, Vladimír (referee) ; Návrat, Tomáš (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with analysis of the rigidity of different variations of foot fixations. In the thesis there is a description of elementary anatomy of foot and its patology. Furthermore the possible corrections of hallux deformities and chosen fixators are described. The problem of analysis is soluted by the method of finite elements. The thesis also includes steps of geometery model creation based on 3D scanning. Three differents types of fixations are compared in this thesis and each of them is created in two different levels of details. There is a comparation, analysis of final solutions and chosen influences on the rigidity in the conclusion.

Noha, Jan ; Šteffan, Pavel (referee) ; Háze, Jiří (advisor)
This work presents design of indoor location system. The work is divided into several parts. The first part of this work presents available technologies in section of indoor location system. There are explained principles of elaboration for determine position. There is also description of several manufacturer systems. In the next part is described design of indoor localization system. There are description components of locator and there is described design of the printed circuit board. The last part is concentrating to construction and testing of locator.
The control unit for automatic incubator
Noha, Jan ; Pavlík, Michal (referee) ; Háze, Jiří (advisor)
This work presents design and construction of controller for automatic egg incubator. The first part of this work presents elementary kinds of eggs incubators, which are used in these days. There is description of the main conditions, which each incubator of eggs, have to keep for successful incubation. There are also comparisons of several eggs incubators, which are made by different manufacturers. The second part contains design of controller for automatic incubator of eggs. There are description components of controller and their choice. The last part is concentrating to construction and testing of controller.
Design of VUT200 TwinCobra landing gear
Novák, Josef ; Horák, Marek (referee) ; Katrňák, Tomáš (advisor)
The goal of following master thesis is to design variety of configuration and retraction options of VUT200 TwinCobra landing gear. For each option are a wheel base and a gauge set up by possibility of main landing gear retraction. Next, CS 23 demands and stress analysis are followed. There is a view of twin engine aircraft landing gear disclosed as well.
Design of shell orthopedic insole fabricated by 3D printing
Chaloupka, Matyáš ; Koutecký, Tomáš (referee) ; Paloušek, David (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design of shell orthopedic insole fabricated by 3D printing. The background research is focused on matters of pes planus and on the methods of Rapid Prototyping including most commonly used materials. The structural design is focused on designing a material pattern for this medical instrument and consequently modeling sandwich structure by combining two materials, plastic and softened plastic, which is then made using Rapid Prototyping on Fused Deposition Modeling 3D printer. Rhinoceros© was used for the purpose of making a shell orthopedic insole, especially it’s algorithmic editor tightly integrated with Rhino’s 3D modeling tools, Grasshopper®. Final part was made with sandwich structure by combining PLA plastic and Flex material using Rapid Prototyping.
Hi-wing aircraft landing gear design
Skutil, Marek ; Vaněk, František (referee) ; Jebáček, Ivo (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the design of the main retractable landing gear for a small high-wing aircraft. In the thesis there is made a kinematic solution of the main landing gear retraction, it’s conceptual and structural design and also selection of relevant components. Then there are performed landing gear load calculations according to the relevant regulation as well as representation of the main landing gear leg loads based on the strength analysis created in the Autodesk Inventor program. One part of the thesis is also 3D model of the main landing gear assembly.
