Effect of pharmacotherapy in idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP)
BRYCHTA, Jakub
This study focuses on the monitoring of platelet count dynamics during pharmacotherapy in patients with idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) and the comparison of the efficacy of different treatment strategies. To achieve this goal, venous blood samples from patients diagnosed with ITP were analyzed and stored in the anticoagulant K3EDTA. Subsequently, platelet count (PLT) and percentage of immature reticulated platelets (IPF) were quantified using the XN series hematology analyzer from Sysmex. All results were recorded and evaluated in excel software. Subsequently, 3 tables were created from the results and patients were categorized according to the type of treatment. Finally, 5 case reports of patients with ITP were selected. The results of this study provide insights into the effects of pharmacotherapy in patients with ITP and provide insights into the effectiveness of different treatment options. These findings may provide useful information for envisioning the optimal treatment regimen for individual patients with ITP. A better understanding of aspects of this disease may lead to an improved quality of life for patients with ITP. The individual response of patients to treatment is crucial, with the choice of treatment depending on the severity of symptoms and side effects. Mean platelet values differed between the groups of patients without treatment, with first-line and second-line treatment. I also noted that proper treatment can lead to an increase in platelet count. Individual approach to patients and regular monitoring of response to treatment is important. New methods of pharmacotherapy for ITP offer a more targeted treatment effect.
Monitoring zdravotního stavu jedle bělokoré (Abies alba Mill.) na vybraných plochách LS Náměšť nad Oslavou
Nováček, Martin
The diploma thesis pursues an assessment of the health condition of white fir (Abies alba) in selected areas of the Náměšť nad Oslavou forest administration. All 888 of the white fir trees (Abies alba) on the two research grounds, in the 7th age class, were incorporated into health classification, the symptoms of damage to the tree species were evaluated and the presence of wood fungi, insect pests and other negative factors affecting the studied trees was determined. From the symptoms found, it was assessed that among the abiotic damage, drought and wind had the greatest effect on the health of the trees. Among the biotic damages, white mistletoe (Viscum album), wood-decaying fungi and insect pests had a significant negative effect.

BACHELOR THESIS ABSTRACT Author: Alena Ulmanová Supervisor: Mgr. Klára Novotná Ph.D. Consultant: Mgr. Eliška Rotbartová Title: Work integration options in people with multiple sclerosis: influence of symptoms and other comorbidities Abstract: This theoretical-practical bachelor thesis focuses on the impact of multiple sclerosis symptoms and other comorbidities on the employment of people who are dealing with this diagnosis. The thesis aims to find out what are the main difficulties that limit the ability to work of people with multiple sclerosis, using a questionnaire of work difficulties called Multiple Sclerosis Work Difficulties Questionnaire (MSWDQ-23). The importance of this aim is based primarily on the fact that the disease mainly affects young adults in productive age, for whom employment tends to be an essential part of life and the difficulties associated with reduced work capacity can negatively affect their financial and social situation, but also their general physical condition. The theoretical part of the thesis summarizes the knowledge on the given issue using the current foreign and Czech literature. In the practical part, quantitative research based on a questionnaire survey is used. A standardize questionnaire called MSWDQ- 23 is used, which comprehensively assesses the work difficulties...

The bachelor thesis deals with the topic of pain in patients with multiple sclerosis. The aim of the thesis is to map the prevalence of pain among patients with multiple sclerosis, its localization, time course, triggering factors, type, character, intensity and some other aspects pain through a shortened Czech form of the standardized questionnaire of McGill University. The thesis consists of theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with the issue of pain in general, but also focuses on the individual types of pain that are characteristic of multiple sclerosis. The practical part relies on data collection by means of a questionnaire survey that focuses on mapping the prevalence of pain, its location, haracter, duration, intensity and other possible related factors. To collect data, I used a shorter form of the Czech version of the standardized McGill University questionnaire. The questionnaire survey was carried out with patients of the Centre for Demyelinating Diseases, Department of Neurology 1. LF UK and VFN in Prague, who were given a paper questionnaire. The information I obtained was processed into graphs and tables. The results showed that pain is present in 60 % of respondents with multiple sclerosis, most often localized in the spine and lower limbs. The intensity of...

TITLE: Life of Family with a Child with the Toriello-Carey Syndrome AUTHOR: Bc. Ivana Valuchová DEPARTMENT: Department of Special Pedagogy SUPERVISOR: PhDr. Monika Mužáková, PhD. ABSTRACT: The thesis deals with the family of a child with a disease of rare Toriello-Carey syndrome. This is an isolated case of this disease in Europe. The main objective of the thesis is to process of complex information relating to disease of Toriello-Carey syndrome and to determine impacts of the syndrome on the quality of life of individuals and their families. The thesis is divided to theoretical and empirical parts. The theoretical part contains three chapters. The first theoretical chapter (Introduction) is devoted to detail syndrome- its etiology, symptoms, context, history, clinical assessment, treatment and prognosis. Other theoretical chapters describe a family with a child with disabilities and specifics of families with rare diseases. The empirical part of the thesis is focused on a research and mapping the life of the family of a child with Toriello-Carey syndrome by analyzing the documents and semi-structured interview with the parents and an active observation boy. Quality of life with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)

Title: Movement as a prevention of arthritis of the knee joint Objectives: The aim of my work is to sum up all the available facts concerning the problems related to arthritis of the knee joint and, on the basis of the results of the literature search, to make a recommendation of a training programme for its prevention. The intended objective is to focus on the causes of its formation and development and to use this knowledge in the suggestion of the training programme which could help to prevent or delay the onset and reduce the progression of this disease. Methods: For the Bachelor work I will be collecting, sorting and organising all my information. As a result of this examination of literature I will achieve my intended goal for this Bachelor work. Results: I found out that we cannot cure arthritis of the knee joint, we can only reduce its development and final results. The most important part is the prevention, which includes daily functional exercise and specially designed programmes. Developed muscles stabilise the knee joint and therefore intelligently planned daily activity is important for the construction of an intact knee joint which is needed to ensure safe operation in many sports and even in our daily activities. I focused the recommendation of a training programme on the midlife and...
