Kocichová, Karolína ; Samek, Tomáš (advisor) ; Hyánková, Tereza (referee)
The thesis is focused on non-substance addictions, particularly on forms of Internet addiction disorder which can occur at secondary school. My main goal is to discover if secondary school students are addicted to the Internet as well as the reasons for these addictions. Firstly, my bachelor thesis deals with the general characteristics of addictions and describes non-substance addictions, such as online gaming addiction and internet sex addiction. Moreover, I focused on the topic of compulsive Internet use in greater detail. In this thesis, I tried to briefly summarize what so-called dopamine is and how it relates to compulsive Internet use. Furthermore, the thesis deals more closely with the issue of time spent on the phone, digital detox, social networking, social media jealousy and applications such as Facebook, Snapchat, and Twitter. The thesis summarizes the manifestations of these addictions, their causes, prevention, and treatment. Excerpts of semi-structured interviews with students are continuously documented in the thesis. The final chapter analyses the results of the field research and deals with the conclusion of the whole work. It is based on professional literature and a qualitatively contacted research probe from secondary school, which is listed in the appendix of the thesis....

The goal of this bachelor thesis is to explore what are the habits of mobile phone usage by university students and for what purpose they use their mobile phone. Research questions focus simply on the means of usage along with students knowledge on mobile phone excessive addictive behaviour. Research was conducted in qualitative means using quasi experiment as a main method that included two parts. First, there was a group of 4 men and 4 women, in age of 18 - 26, that had their "on screen time" measured for one week. Second, each participant was individually confronted during an semi structured interview, where there was main focus on analysing their reaction. Results confirmed, that university students are strongly affected by the mobile phone influence and they show addictive behaviour. Women are experiencing a stronger need than men and are using their phones more often. A link to procrastination during learning or school lessons was found as well. Primary prevention of the substance and non-substance addiction in primary and secondary schools in Czech Republic and selected European countries
Přibylová, Kateřina ; Rajsiglová, Jiřina (advisor) ; Havlová, Michaela (referee)
In the Czech Republic it is possible through the so called Basic Preventive Programme to encounter not only the term "substance addiction", but also the term "non-substance addiction". In which way is the prevention of addictions performed and can we also find this comprehensive approach to the prevention of addictions in the schools of foreign countries? For comparison with the Czech Republic I chose two countries: Finland and Great Britain. The main aim of my work was based on an analysis of the school-based prevention programs and other preventive activities in the schools of each country to determine the current school preventive approaches. Furthermore, it was based on the curricular documents of the countries to identify which subjects or cross-cutting themes are involved in the prevention of substance and non-substance addictions. Finally, I wanted to summarize, from the obtained information, to what extent do the schools of the particular countries realize the prevention of substance and non-substance addictions. Key words: school-based primary prevention, substance addiction, non-substance addiction, behavioural addiction, curricular documents, school-based prevention programs
