Web Map Application of the Lipno Dam for Water Sports
Záhoř, Oldřich ; Čábelka, Miroslav (advisor) ; Laštovička, Josef (referee)
This thesis is focusing on collection and processing of bathymetric data and its interpolation by using just open source tools. The theoretical part is focusing on modern bathymetric research methods, describing their benefits and disadvantages for mapping of freshwater bodies. Second part of the thesis is focusing on self-bathymetric research using sonar. Collected data is then processed in open source softwares such as QGIS and SAGA GIS. Furthermore, it discusses options of open source development of web map application. The final product is a web map application LipnoMap, as the first free accessible map application of this popular yachting region. Keywords: bathymetry, map application, dam Lipno, bathymetry methods
Business Plan – Establishment of a New Company and Store
Zhořová, Monika ; Taranza,, Luboš (referee) ; Heralecký, Tomáš (advisor)
The subject of my bachelor work is processing a real business plan for the establishment and subsequent of the shop with accessories for motroboats and sailboats. The work consists of two parts, namely the theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part I will focus on the theme of the business plan, business, market analyses, legal norm on business, SWOT and SLEPT analyses and on the company itself. In the practical part will be developer a business plan of the shop.
Speed Measurement of Yacht
Černý, Ondřej ; Bradáč, Zdeněk (referee) ; Šedivá, Soňa (advisor)
Work deals with the measurement speed of yacht and wind speed. For measuring is used GPS module and cup anemometer. In the thesis is detailed analysis of the process and construction of eletrical equipment that processes incoming data of speeds and displayed on the screen. Thesis further processes the measurement results and compares the theoretical assumptions and practice
Use of meteorology and historical comparisons atmospheric conditions for yachting and water sports
Hájek, Petr ; Jindra, Matouš (advisor) ; Dvorský, Jaroslav (referee)
Title: Use of meteorology and historicalcomparisons atmospheric conditions for yachting and water. Objectives: At work I use two basic methods of research. The method of content analysis and interview. Content analysis, I get the information for the theoretical part of the work, using professional sailing and meteorological publications. Furthermore, the method of non-standardized interview, which I took while visiting Mathematics - Physics Faculty at Charles University, Department of Meteorology and Climatology. Here I have discussed his work with Dr.. Joseph Brechler, PhD. Furthermore, with top windsurfing in the Black foothills and Nechranické dam. Methods: At work I used as a basic research methods method of content analysis and interview. Content analysis, I gained information for the theoretical part, the professional sailing and meteorological publications that deal with the issue. Non-standardized interview method I used when visiting Mathematics - Physics Faculty at Charles University, Department of Meteorology and Climatology. Here I discuss my work with Dr.. Joseph Brechler, PhD., Then Ing. Ružbatský in the foothills of the Black and F.Kasík of Nechranice. For wider acquaintance with the issues I was trying to get other sources of information on various internet portals related to...
Physiological response of competitors Fireball dinghy class in the model sailing race.
Lambl, David ; Vomáčko, Ladislav (advisor) ; Bunc, Václav (referee)
Title: Physiological response of competitors Fireball dinghy class in the model sailing race. Objectives: The main intention of the thesis is to detect the physical demands (difficulties) of sailing boat race categorized as Fireball double crew. The variables of physiological response to the load of competitors recorded are being measured using simulated race under laboratory conditions. At that point, this opportunity enabled us to carry out further comparisons and examine the physical demands of individual post at various directions of wind. Methods: The entire investigation of detecting physiological functions of competitors will be carried out noninvasively throughout the simulation of sailing using metabolic analyser tool and sport tester. From the feedback, we will obtained figures and originate the physiological response of human body to the load. Due to the investigation is being implemented on the double crew boat Fireball; both competitors (crew/helmsman) performing different tasks will be simulated and examined individually. Simulated race will last 24 minutes and competitors will have to face different wind courses, precisely cruising upwind, crosswind and tailwind. Results: From the measured results, we can state that most of the time during simulated race, the performance of racers...
Commented translation: Guide de manoeuvre (Éric Tabarly, Luçon: Éditions Le Télégramme, 2008)
Kofroňová, Zuzana ; Belisová, Šárka (advisor) ; Šotolová, Jovanka (referee)
The thesis consists of two main parts- translation and its commentary. It is a translation of 3 chapters of a French yachtsmen guide Guide de manoeuvre (Wharf mooring or double moor to another boat, Anchoring and Man overboard maneuver). In my translation, I tried to preserve the major function of the original text - to inform and instruct the reader. The second part of the work is a commentary of the translation which is focused on translation analysis of the original text, typology of translation problems and the methods of the translation. In the translation analysis I describe the original text with the factors affecting the text. Then I focus on the translation problems I dealt with and how they were solved. In the conclusion, I describe the translations methods I used.
