Linear motor drive model predictive control
Szymanik, Marek ; Kozubík, Michal (referee) ; Václavek, Pavel (advisor)
The thesis describes the types and principles of linear motors. Furthermore, a mathematical model of a permanent magnet linear motor (PMLSM) is presented, and the control methods of this motor are described. Attention is mainly paid to the type of modelbased predictive control (MPC). The thesis describes the principles of this control and presents the tools. In the next section, the implementation of the PMLSM mathematical model in the Matlab-Simulink environment is presented together with the design of the control in the Matlab environment. The thesis presents the behavior of MPC control and compares it with vector control.
Induction motor control using software tool X2C
Bartash, Roman ; Huták, Petr (referee) ; Pazdera, Ivo (advisor)
This paper deals with two induction motor control algorithms, namely direct torque control and vector control. The paper describes the different types of controllers and their settings, with output characteristics. Thus it is possible to get an understanding of the performance of these systems and compare them. Modelling is also carried out using X2C library, which gives an opportunity to further test the systems on a real motor.
Drive System Frequency Changer – Electric Motor - Gearbox
Sochor, Pavel ; Pokorný, Přemysl (referee) ; Malášek, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this work is to theoretically describe the function of the frequency changer asynchronous electric motor, to evaluate suitable gearboxes for replacement of hydraulic manipulators, robots, which is carried out through a search of the literature, the present work describes the properties of model sets. Attached is the drawing of two model sets.
Advanced driving system of the three-phase DC motor
Hanuš, Radek ; Boušek, Jaroslav (referee) ; Háze, Jiří (advisor)
The main aim of this thesis is to design and develop a control unit for a three-phase direct current motor that will be able to maximize its efficiency. To accomplish this request a field oriented control combined with modified phase driving signals is used. The emphasis is put on the creation of a simple and unique solution as well as the ability to use this device in the single wheel wehicle, which previous bachelor thesis was focused on. The first part of this thesis lists some of commercially available and do-it-yourself solutions together with their attributes. The next part describes target motors and different options of how to control them. The third part focuses on the field oriented control, its individual parts and features, as well as the final solution. And finally the realization of the electrical part, firmware, PC application and necessary settings are described at the very end of the thesis.
High frequency signal injection method for PMSM position estimation
Moravec, Vojtěch ; Veselý, Libor (referee) ; Pohl, Lukáš (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the design of vector control of interior permanent magnet synchronous motors. The first part of this work deals with vector control transformations and mathematical modelling of synchronous motors. Furthermore, algorithms of sensorless control are discussed, especially HF injection sensorless methods. One of these methods was used for torque and speed control. Problem of phase delay caused by filters and it’s compensation is also discused. One of the HF injection sensorless method was implemented on both motors. The results of simulations in MATLAB/Simulink and tests of real motors on dSpace are included.
Induction machnine control techniques and models
Vidlák, Michal ; Knobloch, Jan (referee) ; Pazdera, Ivo (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the design of the asynchronous mathematical model, and creation its model in MATLAB Simulink. And by creating different types of asynchronous motor control. At the beginning of the work there are theoretical knowledge about transformation of quantities into coordinates, which are needed for creation of mathematical model and further for machine control. Furthermore, control logarithms are created from these transformed quantities, which can be used to control the torque or engine speed. It is a constant magnetic flux control, scalar control, vector control, and ultimately direct torque control. All derived control algorithms have been tested in MATLAB Simulink. Where were simulations of investigated quantities.
MATLAB/Simulink Model Based Design Using C2000 Microcontrollers
Šoupal, Ondřej ; Ctibor, Jiří (referee) ; Pazdera, Ivo (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to explore possibilities of rapid control prototyping, describe the concept of creating the software application in MATLAB/Simulink environment with use for development kit Texas instruments LaunchPad and create an application for DC and induction motor control in this environment. This work describes the application for unipolar/bipolar control H-Bridge of power converter for DC motor, measurement of output currents, speed and its displaying in real time using serial control interface. This thesis also desribes scalar and vector control of induction motor. All software applications with measurements are created in MATLAB/Simulink and attached to the thesis.
IP core for BLDC motor control
Hráček, Marek ; Bohrn, Marek (referee) ; Dvořák, Vojtěch (advisor)
This diploma thesis is about using vector control (or field-oriented control) of synchronous BLDC and PMSM motors on FPGAs. First part describes basic theory of these motors and how to control them. Then vector control is detailed and its parts as (or Clarke) and Park transformation. Rest of the thesis deals with the design of universal controller with adjustable accuracy in VHDL language. Data is separated from computing part which utilizes custom arithmetic-logic unit. In the last part of the thesis the design is tested in simulator using model of PMSM motor.

Knobloch, Jan ; Červinka, Dalibor (referee) ; Klíma, Bohumil (advisor)
Master’s thesis handles about measurement on linear motors. Acts about set of two linear machines on one rail. One is motor and second is load. Thesis paies their mathematical description, control and measurement. It’s made measurement of the linear motor load characteristic. Next measurement have to do with losses in the converter. Is chosen measuring instrument t for measurement during working cycle. During working cycle has determine power eciency of entire drive.
