Identification and education of gifted children in kindergarten

The bachelor thesis focuses on the issue of identification of a gifted child in kindergarten and pedagogical procedures used by the teacher in subsequent work with a gifted child. The aim of the thesis is to find out how kindergarten teachers contribute to the development of gifted children and the full use of their potential. The theoretical part of the thesis in the introduction pays attention to the general introduction to giftedness, then it deals with the characteristics of gifted children and their subsequent identification. In the conclusion, the legislative documents related to the education of gifted children are presented, followed by the possibilities of development and education in the kindergarten environment and the essentials of the teacher's work with gifted children. The empirical part of the thesis analyses the manifestations of potential giftedness in children in kindergarten and aims to identify the pedagogical methods applied when working with gifted children. Families of gifted children with ADHD

This thesis is focused on the topic of twice-exceptionality in children of school age. It deals with the specifics of gifted children with ADHD. The theoretical part defines basic concepts such as giftedness, intelligence, twice- exceptionality and ADHD. It describes the specifics of diagnostics and care of gifted children with ADHD. In the empirical part qualitative research using case study design was carried out. Parents of twice-exceptional children were chosen as respondents. Obtained data was analysed using the methods of open coding, thematic analysis and cross-case analysis. The results of research show that according to parents it is effective to implement structured environment and to use rewards as means of motivation. Parents approach caring for their children actively and responsibly. According to parents, effective communication with school is a very important aspect of their children's education. This communication happens to be problematic in some cases and some parents require teachers to use more active approach to problem solving. Parents use many resources to self-educate themselves on the topic of twice-exceptionality, most often books, articles, studies or podcasts. Preparing teachers to work with gifted students

The diploma thesis focuses on the preparation of teachers for work with gifted pupils at primary schools of mainstream education. The aim of the thesis is to describe possible educational practices and to analyze the methods of work that teachers can apply in the process of educating gifted pupils at a regular primary school. The theoretical part of the thesis defines the concept of giftedness, its models and classification. Furthermore, the theoretical part focuses on the identification of gifted individuals, especially teachers, on basic approaches in the education of gifted pupils and also focuses on the education of teachers for working with gifted pupils. The research part of the thesis describes the research itself, which is solved by a mixed design of quantitative and qualitative approach. The quantitative research was carried out through a questionnaire survey and we used semi-structured interviews to collect data as part of the qualitative research. 81 respondents took part in the questionnaire survey and four respondents were subsequently contacted for semi-structured interviews. These were three teachers and one special educator working in a mainstream primary school. 1 ABSTRACT The topic of gifted and exceptionally gifted children, students, and pupils has been receiving increasing attention in recent years. Both experts and the general public are addressing this issue. An individual approach to gifted students that respects their specific characteristics is crucial for their proper development and support of their potential, but it is difficult to achieve without quality teacher training. The aim of this work is to find out how the training of teachers for educating gifted and exceptionally gifted students is conducted and whether future teachers feel prepared to work with gifted students. In the theoretical part, the concept of giftedness and the characteristics of gifted students are defined. The possibilities of educating gifted students, including the legislative framework of this issue, are mentioned in connection with teachers' training. Problematics of teachers preparations for the education of gifted students

The thesis addresses the issue of teacher preparation for working with gifted pupils at the primary level of elementary school. The theoretical part delineates the concept of giftedness, analyzes the developmental characteristics of gifted children in preschool and school age, legal regulations related to giftedness in pupils, and the identification of them. Furthermore, the role of the teacher and their influence on their lives is defined. The aim of the empirical investigation is to describe the possibilities of university education for teachers in the field of gifted pupils. The empirical section is further devoted to teachers who describe these impacts on their pedagogical practice. The methodological part was approached qualitatively, specifically through content analysis and case study. Content analysis is focused on finding content related to the issue of gifted pupils in the study programs of primary school teaching at Czech universities. The thesis focuses on the development and training of talented employees of XYZ company. Its aim is to create a practical tool for the advertising agency XYZ, which will facilitate the identification of talented workers, selection of suitable candidates for leadership positions, assessment of their key competencies and their training and development. In the first part of the thesis, the basic terms and theoretical background are defined based on the analysis of the literature. The individual chapters are devoted to talent and giftedness, the issues of talent management including different approaches and concepts, basic processes and current trends, as well as the use, creation and assessment of key competencies in the field of human resource management and the topic of employee development and training. The second part describes the actual qualitative research investigation conducted through semi- structured interviews with XYZ company employees and analysis of the provided documents. This thesis focuses on the topic of talent and identification of gifted pupils. The theoretical part explains the concept of talent and characteristics of gifted pupils, their educational needs and problems that may arise during school attendance. Furthermore, the possibilities, methodologies and procedures that teachers and schools can use to support these pupils during the educational process are exa-mined. The second part of this bachelor thesis analyzes the attitude of teachers to the education of gifted pupils. Specifically, it is a quantitative research that was carried out by a questionnaire survey. The aim of this research was to find out how familiar teachers are with the issue of identifying gifted pupils and how they perceive the support of these pupils from the education system. Support for gifted students at eight- or six-year grammar schools

My thesis deals with the education and support of gifted and exceptionally gifted pupils at Czech multi-year gymnasia. The aim of the thesis is to find out how the support of gifted pupils is carried out in multi-year gymnasia we selected and what kind of teaching methods does teachers use when working with these pupils. The thesis consists of two parts. The first part summarizes findings on the issue of gifted students with an emphasis on their characteristics, identification and education. The course of the research investigation is described in the second part of the thesis. The results of the analysis of annual reports and school education programs of selected schools are evaluated here, and the results of the questionnaire survey are also discussed in this section. In addition to the form of support for gifted students at multi-year gymnasia, the connection between the form of support for gifted students with age, length of experience and teachers approval was also investigated. The conclusions of the research indicate that there is still insufficient support for gifted pupils. The methods that were mentioned most often by schools and by teachers are not very suitable for developing talents and supporting gifted students. Science competitions

This bachelor thesis is about science competitions. The first part of the thesis focuses on the factors influencing participation in science competition. The factors have been divided into four groups, the first group focuses on the motivation of pupils and students to participate in competitions. The second group focuses on the school environment and the personality of the teacher, the third group includes the factors of leisure activities. The fourth group discusses family environment factors including the socio-economic status of student's family. The second part of the paper discuses the issue of low participation of women in science competitions with possible suggestions to increase the number of female competitors. The third part of the thesis takes a closer look at the implications of participation in science competitions. Participation in a competition can affect a student both positively and negatively, so this chapter has been divided into sub-sections of Benefits and Negative. The fourth part of the thesis focuses on the impact of science competitions on the pupil's future career. Competitions influence a student's choice of college and future career.
