Assessment of the controllable lifestyle factors of nurses working on an in-patient ward
KOBLEROVÁ, Alena
The bachelor thesis deals with the assessment of influential determinants of health of nurses working in inpatient wards, namely surgical, cardiac, internal and cardiology. The thesis focuses on the individual determinants which are: stress, physical activity, sleep, rest, nutrition, drinking and proper patient handling which is related to possible back pain. The thesis is divided into theoretical and empirical parts. The theoretical part focuses on individual determinants of health. In the empirical part, the aim was chosen: to describe the influential determinants of health of nurses working in an inpatient ward. Based on the objective, a hypothesis was developed based on the other seven working hypotheses. A quantitative method was chosen for the research part. Data were collected using a questionnaire that contained 33 questions. The research sample consisted of 102 nurses who worked in the aforementioned departments at the Hospital in České Budějovice, a.s.. It was found that the lifestyle of nurses working in shift work was at a lower level during their working hours than during their leisure time. This finding was arrived at after evaluating the working hypotheses. Each working hypothesis was related to one determinant of healthy lifestyle. In our research, there was a statistically significant difference between the perception of stress on work days and free days (p < 0.001). The stress level on work days was statistically significantly higher than on free days. H1 was confirmed, "Nurses will experience more stress on work days than on days off." Furthermore, our research showed that among the nurses, 70 were non-smokers (68.6%) and only 32 were smokers (31.4%). This finding rejected H2: "The number of nurses who will smoke (at least 1 cigarette per day) will be higher than the number of nurses who are non-smokers." 64 nurses (62.7%) occasionally used alcoholic beverages, while only 8 nurses (7.8%) were abstainers. H3 was confirmed, "Occasional alcohol use will predominate over abstinence among nurses." Furthermore, 91 nurses (89.2%) reported that their physical activity depends on the type of day, while 87 nurses (85.3%) admitted that they feel more motivated to be physically active on their days off than on weekdays. H4 was also confirmed, "Nurses will have more physical activity outside of work days than on work days." 87 nurses (85.3%) reported sleeping more than 6 hours per day on their days off, but only 40 nurses (39.2%) sleep more than 6 hours per day on weekdays. H5 was confirmed, "Insufficient sleep is more likely to occur on weekdays (less than 6 hours per day)." The results showed that nurses tended not to have back pain on their days off, but that occasional back pain was most common on weekdays. H6 was confirmed, "Back pain will occur at a higher rate in nurses on weekdays." From the resulting p-value, which was again less than the significance level, we rejected the tested hypothesis H7.0. We confirmed H7: "Nurses will eat more regularly outside of work." Although the results provided a relatively positive view of the nurses' lifestyle levels, differences between working days and leisure time can be observed. This work can serve as an illustration of the level of lifestyle of nurses working in an inpatient ward.
Selected games from matrix calculus and their applications
BARTUŠKOVÁ, Zuzana
This bachelor's thesis deals with selected parts of matrix calculus and their applications. In the first part of the thesis, basic terms and operations with matrices are described, including their definitions, properties, rank and operations such as addition, multiplication and transposition of matrices. The second part focuses on determinants and inverse matrices, where the methods of their calculation and practical use are discussed. In addition, attention is paid to the linear dependence and independence of vectors, as well as the problem of eigenvalues and eigenvectors, including their calculations. In the final part, the applications of matrix calculus in various areas of mathematics and technology, such as solving systems of linear equations and vector transformations, are presented. The thesis aims to present not only the theoretical foundations of matrix calculus, but also to demonstrate their practical applications in the real world.

Vejmělková, Lada ; Doskočil, Radek (referee) ; Horvátová, Eva (referee) ; Łapińska, Justyna (referee) ; Zinecker, Marek (advisor)
This dissertation presents research results on the identification of internal and external factors affecting angel investors’ decision to exit the venture capital market in the Czech Republic. The research is based on semi-structured interviews and questionnaire surveys with 25 angel investors. Content analysis of qualitative and quantitative data serves as the main tool of data processing. The data contained in the resulting data matrix is subjected to statistical analysis using the IBM SPSS Statistics software. The results indicate that the main form of exit of angel investors includes business sales, which, given the evolution of internal and external factors, is timed to maximize the return on investment. Moreover, exit is usually the result of an opportunistic approach to exit planning. The research results further suggest that the most important internal factors affecting angel investors’ exit include confidence, qualitative criteria for the evaluation of the investment by the angel investor, level of technological innovation, and contractual arrangements for the exit. In the case of external factors, the most important for an angel investor are the change and level of future demand for the the target company, geopolitical developments, or the tax system. The research results are used to formulate a multi-criteria decision model that serves as a decision support tool for angel investors exit decision.
Determinants of football players' market value during the season: Discrepancies between TOP 5 and the rest of the leagues
Chalupa, Vojtěch ; Kurka, Josef (advisor) ; Bajgar, Matěj (referee)
Football is a global phenomenon, primarily driven by clubs acquiring players who perform on their behalf on the pitch. The valuation of footballers during transfer negotiations is influenced by numerous factors. This thesis expands upon existing research by examining the discrepancies in the mechanisms of player market value formation between the top 5 European leagues and other competitions, using values from Transfermarkt.com together with the data from the 2022/23 season. Employing the Ordinary Least Squares method, we dis- cover that the substantial enhancement in the total price tags of players in the elite leagues is accompanied by variations in the factors a ecting these values. Notably, the analysis reveals significant disparities in the influence of ball possession-related statistics such as successful passes, dribbles, and the xG indicator, which tend to positively a ect player values only in less presti- gious leagues. Common significant factors with strong e ects in both groups include pre-season player's worth, number of minutes played, goals scored, and statistics reflecting team success. Contrary to previous studies, this research identified that age consistently impacts all players negatively. Further analysis also explores di erences between individual positions on the pitch and within...

Relationships of People With Multiple Disabilities
Ramseidlová, Dana ; Šumníková, Pavlína (advisor) ; Šiška, Jan (referee)
1 ABSTRACT The thesis deals with the topic of partner relationships of people with multiple disabilities. The academic literature does not pay enough attention to this issue. However, knowledge in this area is essential for the proper integration of individuals into society and for ensuring their opportunities to develop social relationships comparable to those seen in mainstream intact society. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to identify the characteristics of partnership cohabitation of people with combined disabilities. To this end, a qualitative research investigation was conducted in the form of structured interviews. The research sample consisted of a total of 13 respondents, 11 persons with combined disabilities and 2 senior staff members of the Jedlička Institute. The thesis provides a detailed insight into the formation and functioning of partnership relationships and identifies the determinants that influence these relationships through the open coding method. The main finding of the analysis is the negative connotation of the identified determinants, which thus represent rather barriers preventing the formation of relationships. This finding represents a challenge not only for social service workers but also for individuals with disabilities to find ways to overcome these barriers. KEYWORDS...
