Monitoring of production facilities

The aim of the diploma thesis is to study the possibilities of creating a monitoring system for older production facilities already in operation. Select the necessary components for the nature of the equipment to create a system that is able to capture and provide information about activities on the equipment. The second goal is to design a suitable communication model for clear information about the operation, sending and storing data. The third goal is to analyze the dual-core ESP32 microprocessor against its predecessors in the role of system control unit.
Powerline control of home appliances

The work deals with communication options, the power line and particularly the use of this technology in home automation to control heating and reduction in standby mode for selected domestic appliances. The issue is outlined in detail first and then examined in detail. The publication outlines a possible variant of such a device that can detect movement in the house and on the basis of such information to adjust the energy profile. The device is from its base designed to minimize the consumption of heat and electricity.
Innovations in automation, system "ANPR"

Tato semestrální práce se zabývá problematikou automatických systémů sloužících k rozpoznávání poznávacích značek, jejich účelem, hardwarovými a softwarovými funkcemi a procesem nastavování správně fungujícího systému automatického rozpoznávání poznávacích značek. Toto téma je v oblasti automatizace relativně nové, a proto je třeba se vypořádat s mnoha výzvami, které na nás v tomto odvětví automatizace čekají. Tato práce se zaměřuje na aspekty kamer vhodných pro implementaci do systému ANPR, postupy a metody segmentace a extrakce poznávacích značek a rozpoznávání znaků přítomných na poznávací značce. Tato práce nabízí bližší pohled pro všechny, kdo se zajímají o inovace v automatizaci, a na výzvy, které jsou doprovázeny správnou funkčností systému rozpoznávání poznávacích značek.
Audiostimulation

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to design a device for audio stimulation, which will be used during examination with functional magnetic resonance. The next aim is to familiarize readers with magnetic resonance and stimulation. Whole device is controlled by microcontroller from open-source platform Arduino, model Due. Hardware is based on a non-soldering contact field. There is also draft of printed circuit board. Software is represented by flowcharts. Algorithm is designed and realized in wiring Arduino's library (which belongs to Arduino). Microcontroller is controlled by graphical user interface made by MATLAB.
Control of a model with CAN protocol

This thesis focuses in the importance of technical text on the CAN protocol, the design of communication with robotic chassis. The first part contains general information about the CAN protocol and its settings, and a preview of what products I worked. The second part focuses on software robot. The next chapter describes the hardware of my work and the last chapter is devoted to experiments with the robot and the overall evaluation.

Hardware Acceleration of Algorithms for Approximate String Matching

Methods for aproximate string matching of various sequences used in bioinformatics are crucial part of development in this branch. Tasks are of very large time complexity and therefore we want create a hardware platform for acceleration of these computations. Goal of this work is to design a generalized architecture based on FPGA technology, which can work with various types of sequences. Designed acceleration card will use especially dynamic algorithms like Needleman-Wunsch and Smith-Waterman.
Design and development of AWS/TPWS system testing device

The aim of the work was design and realization of device to simplify and speed up the testing of AWS / TPWS train protection system. The first chapter is addressed to description and division of train protection systems. The next chapter describes the process of commissioning the AWS / TPWS system and possible applycation of the device to this process. The final chapters deal with design, specification of components, realization of device and verification of its functionality.

Information System Assessment and Proposal for ICT Modification

This master´s thesis contains an explanation of basic terms and principals used in an issues of information systems. Part of this thesis are analyses of a current state of an information system in a selected company and evaluation of its effectiveness. A set of improvement propositions of the current state was created based on those analyses with both balance and effectiveness of an IS taken into account.
