To Dvur Kralove by train - Transfer Terminal in Dvur Kralove nad Labem

The subject of this architectural study is to design a new transfer terminal in the dairy town of Dvur Kralove nad Labem. The project seeks to take into account the main town planning principles and to add the city to the architectonically interesting solution of the given parcel while fulfilling the functional requirements of the project promoter - the city of Dvur Kralove nad Labem. The purpose is to create a building and public space in the city that will enhance its quality and satisfy the needs of both residents and passengers.

Narrow-Gauge Railway Line Jindřichův Hradec - Nová Bystřice in the Landscape of Jindřichohradecko

The subject of this thesis is construction of the narrow gauge in district Jindřichův Hradec, specifically line J.Hradec-N.Bystřice, and its impact on near landscape.
In the first part I specify by using literary sources the period during which the railways were built, the importance of these buildings and the history of narrow-gauge tracks. Next point is the analysis of concrete railroad J.Hradec-N.Bystřice, its history and influence of the surrounding originally agrarian landscape. These theoretical information along with detailed field survey and photohraphs are then used in the practical part in which the track is divided and mapped by individual sections.

The object of metropolitan significance on the street Benesova Brno

The goal of this bachelor thesis was area between Koliště, Nádražní and Benešova street. This area is a part of so called Ringstrasse. I designed new Media Library here. Digitalization = future. Apart from being the source of new era digital information, it is also a place suited for studying, working and meeting people. Concept of the building rises from its function – the world of movies and books. We can find a solid base there (knowledge, facts) surrounded by unchained and chaotic fantasy. Media Library would be part of a science park along with the scientific-education complex in the northern part of area.

Not to demolish!

The railway station in Havirov was built in 1964-1969, designed by academic architect Josef Hrejsemnou. In terms of decoration, the architect cooperated with Vaclav Uruba, a brutalist sculptor who is the author of the concrete sculptures in front. Along with the railway station in Ostrava-Vitkovice and the main station in Ostrava, we can speak about a unique building of Brussels style, which is based on the Brussels World Expo 1958. The theme of the transport terminal in Havirov has been mentioned several times over the decades. The first time was before the construction of a new terminal building in the 1960s, when the establishment of a train-tram connecting Havirov with Ostrava was envisaged. More attention to the station was paid in the 1990s with the architectural and urban design competition to establish a transport terminal concentrating bus and train services in one place. The mismatch between CSD and CSAD fell into oblivion. All variants still respected that the building was built by architect Josef Hrejsemnou. So far in the terminal building, there was no reconstruction and according to the current state maintenance is performed by a systematic routine. Visual perception has become a major criterion for the evaluation of the technical condition and the owner of Czech Railways (Ceske drahy, a.s.) decided to demolish the existing large building and replace it with a smaller more energy efficient object.

Thesis "Reconstruction of buildings for commercial use, Brno Pole" is developed in the form of project documentation containing all requirements according to applicable regulations. The proposed facility is located on plot No. 3864/4 on the Street Sportovní. His character is a monolithic frame complete with built-in steel. The project includes also study of disposition and 1 essay.

Station building

The main aim of this master´s thesis is design and Cheb load-carrying steel structure of railway station in two variatons. A given object is situated in Ústí nad Orlicí.The steel structure is created by central nave, his dimensions is 30,0 x 30,0 m, and two secondary naves and his dimensions is 18,0 x 18,0 m.The central nave is two-storey height 12,4 m and secondary nave is single-storey height 5,5 m. Carrying building systém is created croos-column links, which are composed pipes. Cross-links are saved on fixed columns. The calculation was done through the use of Scia Engineer 2008 program and by myself alone.

HST Station at the Airport Brno Tuřany

High-speed corridor is the future of travellibg. Many Eauropian states have begun with building it a few years ago and it works well. The Czech Republic still does not have this form of transport, but due to the location it will be necessary to build high quality railways even here for the future connection across Europe. This thesis deals with the construction of high-speed train stop (the HST) nearby the airport Brno Turany. The service follows the previous semestral work - Brno main railway station. The HST station building is drafted as a bridge over the rail and the platforms, it works not only as a check-in and waiting area but also like a pedestrian crossing over the corridor. The solid responds to the airport nearby and used bridge construction to smartly takes roof up. Public parts are at ground level, technical background and maintenance are located along the platforms below the ground level.

JOHAN - centre for cultural and social projects

This bachelor thesis's main aim is to familiarize the reader with specifics of function of Pilsen?s non-profit organisation JOHAN - centre for cultural and social projects - on the basis of a case study observing development, history, operation, dramaturgy, finances and activities of this organisation. It shows the ways in which cultural-social centre differs from other cultural centres. It maps important aspects necessary for emergence of such an institution and for securing its operations. It points out the benefits and drawbacks of gradual development and necessary professionalization of the organisation. Last but not least the thesis deals in particular with the unique space former train station of Pilsen's South suburb, called the Moving Station, which emerged as one of the first cultural-industrial spaces in the Czech Republic. The thesis also observes the benefits of JOHAN's membership in cultural networks of Trans Europe Halls and the "Nova sit" network.
The thesis should also serve as an inspiration for dealing with operations, finances and production cases in nascent organisations of similar aims in other localities and cities.

Divoká příroda v dílech zahradní a krajinářské architektury

The bachelor thesis deals with the use of wildlife in the landscape architecture. It briefly summarizes the evolution from the English landscape garden till today. The thesis also includes the interpretation of several practical uses of wildlife in today's standard creating. A part of the thesis deals with important distinguished personalities, their lifes and works. Chosen examples of realizations of the Europe and America are described. Chosen examples are not the complete overview, they are rather a familiarization with the theme and inspiration for further creating. The practical part of thesis is an architectural study of the model area. That is the railstation complex of buildings and their surroundings. The area is in Hodkovice nad Mohelkou near Liberec in northern Bohemia. The design reacts on the analysis, the potential, character of area and try to use elements of wildlife.
