Financial Analysis of Polymetal International Plc

The objective of this Master's thesis is to evaluate the financial situation of Polymetal International Plc for the period between 2008 - 2012 using standard financial analysis techniques and procedures, outline the foreign accounting reporting standards and indicate the relation between company's financial results and market gold price change. The thesis consists of two main parts: theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part are defined the main financial analysis techniques and are described the main differences between the international accounting reporting standards. The practical part consists of basic information about the analyzed company, application of financial analysis theory in practice on company's financial outputs, including references regarding the international accounting reporting standards and a brief analysis of the impact of market gold price change on company's financial results.

Master thesis deals with current trends on coal market, relationships between prices of coal and prices of other commodities, forecasting of coal prices in fifteen years horizon utilizing statistical tools and business valuation of a company from coal mining industry. Master thesis further analyzes a sensitivity of the company value on changes in projected prices of coal and other commodities.

It examines the bank's financial health using the data from the bank's assets and liabilities, expenses, revenues and profits as well as profitability, liquidity and capital adequacy. All the results are compared within the banking sector using the Financial market supervision report.

This thesis is focused on financial analysis of Accor hotel group. The purpose of this thesis is to identify and assess the financial position, financial health and performance of the company from the above-mentioned two perspectives, furthermore the monitoring of the development of the financial analysis and the analysis of changes during the period, also a comparison of selected indicators with industry and sector averages and lastly, a deepening of knowledge in the field of financial analysis. The aim of the work or the working hypothesis is to determine whether the selected company is prospective to the investor and sufficiently creditworthy for the bank or in general whether the company has passable financial position and performance. In order to achieve these objectives and purposes was chosen as the method of financial analysis. Other used methods are observation and comparison. These methods include, for example, financial techniques like horizontal and vertical analysis, ratio analysis, as well as simple mathematical tools like averages and percentages and lastly accounting tools like ratios and trend analysis. The thesis is divided into two parts. First part deals with the theoretical definition of concept of financial analysis which is followed by related terms and second part dealt with the presentation of given company, application of theory in practice, summary and recommendation.

Comparing the performance of companies operating in a regulated sector - Case studies

The objective of this thesis is to compare performances of companies operating in regulated industries.The selected industries are natural gas and electricity distribution, water and sewerage systems operation and railway maintenance. Two methodological approaches are used throughout the thesis, each in its own part. The first one focuses on the financial analysis, while the other one uses the total factor productivity analysis. The latter is based on physical units typical for their respective sectors. As the conclusion of this thesis both approaches and the results of individual companies are compared.

Evaluation of the market value of a firm – Drubezarsky zavod Klatovy as of 1st of January 2014

This master's thesis dealing with appraisal of a firm Drubezarsky zavod Klatovy which is headquartered in Klatovy is composed of seven essential chapters such as company background, strategic analysis, financial analysis, value drivers, financial plan, valuation and valuation summary along with sensitivity analysis in order to provide a complete range of understanding. Individual key chapters are divided into subchapters. The company ranks among the biggest manufactures of a poultry meat in the Czech republic. The primary aim of this thesis is to detect and review key attributes, which are affecting or even are capable of having an influence on company market value as of 1st of January 2014. Market value were set according to International Valuation Standards (IVS). The business valuation is primarily determined by two methods. The first main method known as discounted cash flow analysis (DCF) in the form of adjusted present value approach (APV) is not at all employed in valuation practice, but it is deemed to be some kind of reference method of all DCF forms. Another one, I employ, is called German income approach (German: Ertragswertverfahren -- EWV). Across texts are used statistical methods in conjunction with statistical programme R that tell me help my specified goal.

The Master's Thesis aims to analyze and evaluate the Vitana company at 31st December, 2013. The thesis is divided into parts that correspond with the valuation process. First of all the Vitana company is described. The valuation starts with a strategic analysis where strengths and weaknesses, market development, industry, economy and competition are identified. This is followed by a financial analysis that explains the past of the Vitana company. To determine the value of the company it is necessary to define generators of value and make their prognosis. After that the financial plan is drawn up. Determining the value is accomplished by using three valuation methods: valuation by using DFCFF, valuation by using EVA and book value.

The aim of this Master's Thesis is to carry out economic analysis of chosen company - GUMOTEX, a.s. within years 2008 - 2013. The Thesis is divided into four parts. The introduction provides basic information on the topic and defines the main objectives. The following theoretical and methodological part aims to describe the methods of economic analysis especially those used for strategic and financial analyses. The practical section starts with a short description of the chosen company followed by the appliance of the particular methods and instruments introduced in the theoretical part. In conclusion the results are summarized by using SWOT analysis and recommendations are made in order to ensure better economic performance of the company.

Evaluation of financial situation in the chosen company by means of selected methods of financial analysis. Comparison of the results of the financial analysis with values of the competitive company and with values of the entire construction sector based on analyzes carried out by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic. Summary financial analysis problems using theoretical knowledge and their subsequent application in the practical part in ARSTAV Ltd. between 2010 and 2013. Summary results of the financial analysis and evaluation of the financial situation of this company. An important role in evaluating of the financial situation plays a crisis that resulted in the construction sector in 2011 and continues to this day.
