Color to grayscale conversion is still a relevant topic and finds use in multiple areas, to which belongs artistic photography, but primarily colorless print and for simplifying some processes in picture processing. This Bachelor thesis deals with this conversion - decolorization, with focus on video sequences. The basic principle of representation of digital image is explained here alongside with operations for its processing used in next part of thesis. Thereafter it includes the analysis of types of methods, which are used for the conversion to grayscale and further their properties and success rate are evaluated aswell. In the second part of this thesis, there are three chosen and implemented decolorization methods and summary of their achieved results, which is then accompanied by evaluation of practicability in conversion of colorful video sequences to grayscale ones.

Web Application for Panorama Search
Pospíšil, Miroslav ; Čadík, Martin (referee) ; Brejcha, Jan (advisor)
The aim of my bachelor thesis is to create a web front-end, which provides mountain localisation of images. Images can be uploaded directly to the application or you can use images from the Flickr web service. Flickr is integrated in the application by Flickr API. Localisation of selected image is based on mountain horizon. User-aided semi-automatic horizon detection is approached by special user interface utilising the GrabCut algorithm for segmentation. Localisation is provided by server back-end which is connected and integrated with the designed application. Results for the detected horizon are visualised in a form of aligned horizon curves with position displayed using the Google Maps API. The final fully functional application was tested by moderated usability test with users. Application in this test performed well. Despite several shortcomings detected by the test the application was easy to use.
Fastness of Photographs Exposed to Light and Pollutants
Pasečná, Klára ; Havlínová, Bohuslava (referee) ; Veselý, Michal (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with a study of general influences of light and pollutants (mainly ozone) on ink printing. The theoretical part describes the basic principles of printing means, printing materials and some ways of ink print degradation. The experimental part focused on measuring specific coulometric quantities of a test pattern, which was done in the chamber for ozone development and the accelerated weathering device using light and heat (xenotest). An important finding from this study is that the influence of ozone on tested pigment ink is much smaller than the one of UV radiation. The most susceptible to degradation by radiation and ozone was yellow ink.
