Impact of migration on the balance of payments of the Czech Republic

The content of this study is the issue of labour force migration and its impacts on economics. The first two chapters discuss the theoretic basis of the phenomena of migration and introduce us the balance of payments. A precise explanation of its horizontal and vertical structure is fundamental for the understanding of the following chapters. In the second part of the thesis a practical application of theories and statistical data is carried out. The changes in the employment of foreign workers in the Czech Republic as well as the migration flows of Czech workers to foreign countries since the break up of Czechoslovakia are to be measured and evaluated. Remittances in the flow of time will be observed and their impacts studied. The main goal is to find out the dimensions in which labour force migration influences the Czech balance of payments.
Foreigners in the labour market in The Czech republic

This thesis represents basic information about foreigners in The Czech republic. We can quote their discretions and duties resulting from the legislature of The Czech republic which specifies stays, naturalization, asylum and sanctuary or social services. Another point of thesis is communication with foreigners, projects of ministries and not - for- profit organization about foreigners integration, national minority and migration, migration's theory and characterization of foreigners who have migrated to The Czech republic. Also it is concentred on employment and unemployment in the labour market. Main aims are analysis of obtaining working licence and projects for improving conditions in the labour market. It is used aggregate indicant for analysing situation in each 14 regions.
The analysis of employment in the finance and insurance sector in the Czech Republic

The main goal of this thesis is the analysis of the employment progress in one of the most prospective sectors of the Czech economy -- the finance and insurance sector. The sector is characterised and classified and the main historic, economic and legislative determinants are addressed in the theoretical part of this thesis. The main focus of the subsequent analytical part of the thesis is the employment progress of the sector from the perspective of profession, age, culture and branch. An additional goal of the thesis is to compare the labour force demand of the finance and insurance sector with the structure of school-leavers who will come into their own through the sector. I conclude the thesis by evaluating future potential trends and employment progress.
The influence on active labour-market policy and its financing after European Union accession

The thesis conducts an analysis of active labour-market policy and its support in the framework of the European Social Fund. The first section is specialized in labour policy and described documents of European Union in this framework. The second section of the paper focuses on active labour-market policy -- its development, implementation, tool kit as well as its reaction to European Union requirements and a subsequent efficiency evaluation of a number of programmes aimed to support the active labour-market policy. The next section assesses the achievability of quantitative targets of the Lisbon strategy which the Czech Republic should meet by 2010, i.e. whether we are on track to meet these targets. We aim to determine the achievability of targets using an analysis of employment. The following important section looks at labour policy expenditures in the Czech Republic, their change over time and particularly after the European Union accession in 2004, since when the Czech Republic has been able to draw financial support from the European Social Fund. The last section therefore deals with the European Social Fund, in particular with the implementation of projects, assessment of their impact on employment growth and recommendations for improvements in the efficiency of their execution.

Goal of the thesis is a pilot project , which provides the methodology for following analysis of tax systems, tax expense on businesses and expression influence the tax system on employment in selected countries of central Europe. I work out this pilot project for the Czech Republic with a focus on the years 2004 - 2008.
Young People on the EU Labour Market

This thesis revises the position of young people on labour markets in the EU. It focuses on all the three parties involved in the problem: on young people and their school preparation for work (level, quality and structure of the education); on labour markets and what they can offer to young people; and on the European Union as an institution which should ease the entrance of young people to the working life. The author suggests, on basis of the data presented, some mesures to improve the employment of young people. That should happen especially by changing the education systems which must focus more on practice and job-related experience.
Analýza trhu práce v Ústeckém kraji

V teoretické části své práce se budu zabývat základní charakteristikou trhu práce a to i z pohledu mikroekonomického. Následně budu zkoumat vývoj zaměstnanosti a nezaměstnanosti v letech 1995 - 2007. Budu zkoumat, čím je nabídka a poptávka po práci ovlivňována a jaký vliv má demografický vývoj na zaměstnanost (resp. nezaměstnanost) na trhu práce. Zpětně budu zkoumat společenské a ekonomické dopady nezaměstnanosti. V analytické části se budu zabývat vývojem trhu práce v Ústeckém kraji v letech 1990- 2003.Následně podrobím analýze i rok 2007.
Active labour market policy of Czech Republic and Slovak Republic

This thesis is concerned with increasing of employment through active labour market policy. It focuses on two countries - Czech Republic and Slovak Republic. Thesis describes theory of unemployment, it deals with historical base of labour market policy, as well as with particular actions of labour market policies of both considered countries. After that, main tools are analyzed, there are described advantages and disadvantages of particular actions, as well as whole active labour market policy approach. Recommendations for both countries are followed. Finally, thesis deals with European social fund.
An assessment of North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA)

Práce se zabývá zhodnocením dosavadní existence Dohody o severoamerickém volném obchodu (NAFTA) s důrazem na její vliv na vzájemný obchod signatářských zemí. Dopady NAFTA jsou popisovány z hlediska jednotlivých sektorů ekonomik. Práce zkoumá efekty v primárním, sekundárním a terciárním sektoru, přičemž odvětví, která byla liberalizací nejvíce ovlivněna, jsou zpracována individuálně. Popsány jsou rovněž efekty NAFTA na tvorbu nových pracovních míst v regionu. Práce ukazuje, že i přes značné úspěchy, které se v procesu integrace v Severní Americe podařilo dosáhnout, zůstávají některá odvětví daleko od dokončené zóny volného obchodu a je v nich potřebná další liberalizace.
Analysis of cooperation with employment offices with recruitment (FOXCONN CZ s.r.o. - production branch in Kutná Hora)

First part of thesis describes the theoretical basis of theme. The first section relates to legislative regulation of employment area including its development from 2004. The second chapter attends to cooperation possibilities of employers and employment offices. Second part of thesis concentrates on analysis of situation of particular employer - FOXCONN CZ company. The first section of this part describes the company in light of its history, positions and present cooperation with employment offices. The second section characterizes situation on regional employment market including history of local employment office and interview with its employees. The last chapter contains the particulat analysis of present cooperation methods with employment offices, economical view on this problem and final recommendations.
