Evaluation of the motor activity of younger school-age children by the MABC-2 test battery at a selected elementary school
ČELIKOVSKÝ, Jakub
The aim of this graduation thesis is to find out the level of fine and gross motoric skills amongst children of younger school age in a selected elementary school. In total, we tested 44 children (21 boys and 23 girls) from the 1st to 4th grade from the age of 7 to 10 in January 2018. The level of their motoric skills was measured by a standardized Movement Assessment Battery for Children Second Edition, which includes 8 motor tests suitable for both genders. We compared boys and girls with each other in components and test tasks. The total test results have shown that 100% of children have no motor problems (1st range). In spite of that, there were individuals who fell into the 2nd range (risk of motor problems) in components of manual skills, aiming & catching or 3rd band (major motor problems). Research has convinced us that the fine and gross motor skills of most tested children are at a very good standard.

Dolanská, Veronika ; Bitnar, Petr (advisor) ; Zounková, Irena (referee)
Bachelor thesis on Psychomotor development of preschool children with hearing impairment - possibilities of physiotherapeutic intervention is processed in the form of case study research. The work is divided into three parts. The first part contains basic information about a hearing impairment and an interduction into specifics of education and psychomotor development of a preschool child. The main part of the work is concetrated on senzomotor deficits that are conected to hearing impairment of children. Lot of studies concerning this topic are comprised in this part. The third, practical, part contains a case study of two children - one healthy and one with a perceptional hearing defect. Based on the mentioned studies an examination with later comparism of senzomotor functions of both children was performed.
Changes of the fine and gross motor functions at patients with cerebral palsy after therapy by Nintendo Wii and Reflex Locomotion according Vojta
Píšťková, Marie ; Medunová, Kateřina (advisor) ; Kraus, Josef (referee)
Aim: The aim of this study is to assess benefits of therapy by Vojta method and by using the active videogame Nintendo Wii. The manual dexterity and gross motor function were evaluated. Methodology: The study was attended by 14 children aged 6 - 18 years. They were divided into two equal groups. The Vojta method was applied for the first group and exercising with Nintendo Wii for the second group. Each therapy took 30 days. After a 6 months break the two groups were changed. During those 6 months no targeted physiotherapy was done. The manual dexterity and gross motor functions were measured before and after the therapy and 8 weeks after finishing the therapy. The Box and Block test and the Nine Hole Peg test were used for assessment of manual dexterity and GMFM was used for testing of gross motor function. The children completed the PACES questionnaire after each of the interventions. Results: Statistics showed a significant change in the manual dexterity over the time when the Box and Block test was used. A difference between the two types of therapy has not been proven. Results of the Nine Hole Peg test were not statistically significant, neither in time nor when comparing the therapies. GMFM was not statistically significant either. The PACES did not show any difference between the therapies....
Evaluation of motoric deficit in children after posterior fossa brain tumor surgery
Jirousková, Jitka ; Medunová, Kateřina (advisor) ; Jevič, Filip (referee)
Objective: The main goal of this study was to collect and summarize all available data on both short term effects and late effects of posterior cranial fossa tumor treatment on children patients' motoric abilities and to find out any possible correlation between a decline in motoric abilities and the type of treatment they received. Following previous studies on the topic, this study set a goal to design a testing procedure for areas in which decline of motoric abilities manifests the strongest and to put this procedure to test in the practical part of the study. Methods: Based on a research into specialized literature, four main areas in which a decline of motoric abilities occurs in posterior cranial fossa tumor patients have been identified. Those are ataxia, balance, physical condition and functional activities. For Ataxia the SARA test was used, for physical condition the 6MWT test, for balance the PCTSIB test and for functional activities the BOT-2 test, respectively. Furthermore we observed the overall quality of life of selected patients through a PedsQL questionnaire. The group of patients selected for this experiment consisted of nine individuals who underwent posterior cranial fossa tumor treatment more than two years before. Results: The SARA (p=0,020) a 6MWT (p<0,0001) tests proved a...

Causes and consequences of erroneous fixation of basic motoric stereotypes
Janebová, Martina ; Sedlak, Petr (advisor) ; Riegerová, Jarmila (referee)
Basic motoric stereotypes are key components of motive and postural behavior of every human. They are something like programs which are produced by central nervous system for effective function of musculoskeletal system and their development is tied with early childhood when the motor development takes place. Basic motoric stereotypes are essential for development of specialized movement skills. It is important to build and strengthen them in childhood and after that to maintain them for a whole life of individual. During early ontogenesis may occur erroneous fixation. This bachelor thesis summarize information about motor development, erroneous fixation of basic motoric stereotypes from a point of view of causes and consequences in paediatric population and suggest possible solutions of the problem. The Impact of Alcohol Consumption on Gross and Fine Motor Skills of Individuals
Purchartová, Dana ; Pavlů, Dagmar (advisor) ; Reckziegelová, Petra (referee)
Title: The Impact of Alcohol Consumption on Gross and Fine Motor Skills of Individuals Objectives of the thesis: The main objective of my thesis is to assess an immediate effect of alcohol on selected tasks from the area of fine and gross motor skills. First identified were the average values for selected tests in sober individuals, and then the values with an increasing level of alcohol in blood. The second objective is to differentiate whether or not are fine and gross motor skills affected upon the same alcohol level in blood. Methods: The required data were obtained on the basis of experimental measurements on 12 probands (6 women and 6 men) who were tested for fine motor skills using three non- standardized tests modified or created for the purpose of this experiment: threading beads on a string, unlocking locks and dropping coins to a moneybox. Gross motor skills were tested using stabilometric platform in a standing position with legs together and with open eyes for 30 seconds. The observed parameter in the fine motor skills test was the time, while in the stability test it was the track of COP; each fine motor skills test was performed three times in each round. In the second and in each subsequent round every proband was administered 0.3 g of alcohol per kg of weight. The total number of...
