Methods of investigation of sexual crimes (selected issues)

The thesis deals with the topic of sexual offences investigation. Given its complexity, the thesis only focuses on particular issues, namely the special investigation procedure used in the cases of sexual offences committed against children. The thesis aims to provide overview of individual investigation procedures used in those special cases, to point out their advantages and disadvantages, and to explain reasons why sexual offences against children need to be treated differently. The thesis includes fourteen chapters dividend into sub-chapters. In the introductory part, the main of objectives of the thesis are defined; the following first chapter focuses on the term sexual exploitation and describes the legislation on this issue in the Czech Republic. The second chapter outlines typical ways of committing this type of offence; the third and fourth chapters focus on the subjects of sexual offences, both the offender and the victim, and answer the question if there is a typical victim and a typical sexual offender. I was chosen the topic of my thesis "The metodology of drug criminality investigation" becuase I am very interested in this issues and I consider drug use and abuse as very present global problem. The thesis is divided into two parts. The general part contain six chapters. I begin with the introduction into the problem including used terminology and slang expressions too. Then I describe particular drugs and their consequences. The following charter is connecting of drug abuse with crime and developement and situation in the Czech republic before the year 1989, after this year and the present state. Chapter five is constituted by structure of internal body causing in the drug problems area. In the ending of the first part I present the progress of our legislation in the drug crime including the outline of legislation state in the EU states. The second part is formed by the metodology of drug criminality which is devided into ten chapters. The first chapter contain the description of general metodology of crime investigation. This diploma thesis addresses the issues of the murder investigation methodology. It is divided systematically into four chapters. First three chapters may be perceived by the reader as the fundamentals of the thesis aiming at contextualizing and highlighting the final chapter which bears the core ideas and findings. Chapter One deals with crime against life from the perspective of the criminal law in the Czech Republic. An account of legal definitions of murder, manslaughter and murder of a new-born infant by its mother, as defined in the Criminal Code, is offered in the chapter. Certain features of the constituent elements of those crimes are compared and commented on in greater detail. Chapter Two presents murder in view of criminology and includes the statistical data regarding the intentional homicide rate within the Czech Republic. As for the statistical data, it is predominantly recent and up-to-date. However, there may also be included statistical data gathered over an extended period of time which better demonstrate the dynamics of crime development. Legal framework of computer crime investigation

Master's thesis is focused on computer crime, with an emphasis on the process of investigation. New systematics in Czech computer crime terminology is offered. Within the thesis, cybercrime is perceived as a part of computer crime. Special attention is put on various aspects of criminalistics, as the topic of investigation itself is understood from the point of view of such science. Nevertheless, criminological findings are discussed likewise. Particular emphasis is put on a link between Czech legal regulation and expert literature from the fields of law, criminalistics, criminology and technology. Master's thesis is based on Czech literature, as well as English and French writings, in addition to national and international case law. The text itself is divided into three chapters. First chapter is introducing the issue of computer and cybercrime with selected criminological characteristics, including specifics of offending within the Internet. Second chapter discusses evidence of computer crime, the electronic or digital evidence, from the point of view of criminalistics. The theoretical part of the bachelor's thesis ""Transfer" of Germans and Postoloprty in 1945" is devoted to the relations between Czechs and Germans in the pre-war period and their outcome after the Second World War, i.e. the expulsion of Germans from Czechoslovakia. The second part of the thesis - the practical part - is focused on a specific area (the municipality of Postoloprty) in which the acts of violence against the German population took place. In this part the thesis is mainly based on the work with testimonies of witnesses who were willing to share their experiences and memories. The final part of the thesis is devoted to the investigation from 1947 and finally the thesis deals in brief with the modern investigation. 1 Diploma thesis: Methods of investigation of sexual crimes (selected issues) Key words: Investigation, Rape, Sexual Abuse, Expert Opinion Summary This thesis deals with problematics of sexual crimes investigation. Since the area of investigating sexual crimes is very broad, I have limited the scope of my paper to investigation of the two most frequent types of crime, which are rape and sexual abuse. Regarding the operations usually performed during investigation, I have paid close attention to expert opinions. The purpose of this paper is to stress concrete specifics occuring during investigation, which is discussed throughout the chapters. Chapter One introduces acts of sexual crime (particularly the rape and the sexual abuse) from the criminal-law point of view as it is stated in the contemporary legal regulation in the Czech Republic. This chapter also provides statistical tables showing the evolutionary trend in the number of prosecuted and adjudicated sexual criminal acts of rape and sexual abuse between 2000 and 2010. Criminalistic characteristics of sexual criminal acts are looked at in Chapter Two, and Chapter Three presents common ways of committing sexual offences. The Methodics of Investigation of the Sexual Crime Acts (chosen issues) Summary This submitted diploma thesis deals with procedures of investigation of crimes rape and sexual abuse, which are two most serious offences within sexual criminal acts. In this work I analyze only some of the most essential moments of investigation, because the theme as a whole exceeds the required extent of the diploma thesis. Most attention is paid to contacts of the prosecuting and adjudicating bodies with the victim and to the acts in which the victim is involved. The introductory part analyzes basic contemporary and previous legal regulation of all sexual criminal acts given in the present criminal codes. Offences of rape and sexual abuse are explicated in more detail. Then the work brings a criminalistic characteristics of these offences with basic statistical data. It points out the fixed detection rate of these crimes over the last nine years. Within the criminalistic characteristics, the thesis shows typical ways of committing these crimes, typical offenders, victims and typical traces. Methodology of investigation of sexual offences Key words: child abuse, investigation, examination Summary This diploma thesis deals with issues in investigation of sexual crimes, particularly child sexual abuse. Sexual criminality is a very extensive topic, so I decided to aim the thesis for specifics of investigation related to abused children. The aim of the work is to characterise investigation regarding specifics typical for sexual offences. There is difference between adult and child victims. This must be considered in the process of investigation. Each person taking part in investigation should have achieved at least basic course in psychology. It is necessary to apply considerate approach to restrain from secondary victimization. The first chapter describes the term of sexual abuse, fundamental definitions and forms. Current legal regulations in the Czech Republic are analyzed there. The second part is devoted to criminological characteristics. This chapter is about offenders, victims and typical ways of commission. The submitted diploma thesis is called: Rehabilitation of a family endangered by transgenerational transmission of alcohol addiction. Alcohol addiction in the family is a very current topic, as it can have a significant impact on future generations of children who grew up with an alcohol addicted parent. The theoretical part deals with the issue of alcohol addiction and its impact on family functioning, psychological and social development of children and their functioning in adulthood. It also examines the causes and manifestations of transgenerational transmission of alcohol addiction in the family, including how to prevent the risk of alcohol addiction in future generations. The aim of the empirical part is to answer the main research question through interviews: What is the personal experience of the current generation of offspring of alcohol addicted parents in creating their own family and how can the family prevent the risk of transgenerational transmission of alcohol addiction to the next generation of offspring? From the research survey, we found that children who grew up in an alcoholic environment are affected to various degrees in adult life in all areas, because they have not experienced healthy parenting patterns in the family.
