The importance of core stabilization for track and field throwers

Silvie Táborská Title of the bachelor thesis: The importance of core stabilization for track and field throwers Abstract: This bachelor thesis deals with throwers' core stabilization in athletics. Theoretical part described basics of throw, individual throwers' athletic disciplines, factors influencing sport performances, postural functions and core stabilization. Practical part includes case studies of three probands. Target group was created by young athletes competing in at least one throwers' discipline. Therapeutical intervention was focused on improving core stabilization and took 10 weeks with therapy 2 times a week. The results were analysed based on examination of postural stabilization according to Kolář, chosen functional test and comparison of best achieved results before intervention in seasons 2019, 2020 and 2021 to best achieved results after intervention in season 2021. Evaluation dynamic postural stability of javelin thrower

Title: Evaluation dynamic postural stability of javelin throwers Objectives: The aim is to evaluate whether the regular active performance of the javelin discipline has an effect on dynamic postural stability in comparison with individuals who do not actively engage in javelin throwing. Furthermore, to find out whether there is a relationship that would clarify the dominance of the lower limbs in the relationship between the front and hind leg of the spearman in the assessment Methods: This quantitative observable cross-sectional study involved 20 probands (n=20, age=20,45 ± 2,49). The experimental group consisted of the 10 male javelin thrower and 10 female javelin thrower. Measurement of dynamic postural stability took place in the Laboratory of Applied Kinesiology, Charles University FTVS on the Neurocom SMART EquiTest device. These batteries were chosen. Sensory Organization Test (SOT), Motor Control Test (MCT), Adaptation Test (ADT), Limits of Stability (LOS), Rhythmic Weight Shift (RWS), Weight Bearing Squat (WBS), Unilateral Stance (US). Tittle: History of athletic club Sokol Hradec Králové Abstract: The aim of this thesis is to focus on the origin and development of the athletics section of the Sokol Hradec Králové. First of all, the origin of Sokol on the territory of Czechoslovakia will be mentioned. Subsequently, the thesis will focus on the founding of the Sokol in Hradec Králové, under which the athletic section falls, and then there will be a mention of other Sokol units in the territory of Hradec Králové. The following chapter will be devoted to the historical development of the Hradec Králové athletic club from its foundation until the 1990s. The thesis will also mention important Hradec Králové athletes and their achievements. The thesis will conclude with a comparison of the Hradec Králové and Pardubice athletic clubs. Special running exercises in football training of young footballers

Title: Special running exercises in football training of young footballers Objectives: The aim of this work is a comprehensive summary of special athletics running excercises as a means of training for young footballers. The aim of the empirical part is to find out by pooling the details about the usage and knowledge of special running excercises of trainers. Methods: In our thesis we used a method of questioning. Because our prepared questions were not standardized. The charakter of pooling is an inquiry. Respondents should be introduced as an unrepresentative sample. Data were collected by e- mail correspondence. Results were entered into graphs and tables and their interpretation has been made. Results: The term special running exercises is well known for most of coaches. All the coaches consider important to develop technique of running. 81% of respondents use special running exercises to develop the technique. Coaches apply SBC for many purposes. Compared with various kinds of match level the most correct- techniques-training is used in division's teams. None of the coaches, who uses a special running exercises to correct the errors in the technique of running weren't able to describe all the occurred errors. : Title: Pole vaulter training Objectives: The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to appraise performance progress of pole vaulter and to compare different methods of different coaches. Methods: Data was obtained from training diaries of the pole vaulter. Subsequently, this data was arranged into graphs and charts and then was assessed by logic consideration. The main method of this bachelor thesis is method of quantitative analysis. Results: According to analysis of training data I found out that the performance of the pole vaulter was mainly influenced by the lack of speed and speed persistence training. Development of speed competence of the applicants for the physical education study program at the College of Education at the Charles University

TITLE: The Development of speed competence of the applicants for the physical education study program at the College of Education at the Charles University. SUMMARY: The aim of my thesis is to summarize the development of speed competence of all applicants for the physical education program at the College of Education at the Charles University from 1991 to 2010. The speed competence testing took place on a track and consisted of running the 100 m during the entrance examination for the physical education program. Using statistical methods (arithmetic average, standard deviation, variation coefficient, modus and median) I will compare each year's performances, differences in performances by applicants' study concentration, and differences among men's and women's performances. Besides examining the speed competence of the applicants I will also examine the number of applicants each year. The most frequent causes of injuries in pole vault athletes and its prevention- a review

Backgrounds: Pole vault could be counted among the most frequently mentioned athletic disciplines in terms of injuries. In the recent past there have been done a number of changes of rules which have led to a reduction in the number of accidents. Objectives: The main objective of this study was to identify the most common causes of accidents and injuries in pole vault, to describe preventive measures that have already been carried out and to draw attention to the others which could be possible. Methods: This work provides a systematic review combined with practical experience. Four electronic databases - EBSCO, ScienceDirect, WoS, PubMed were used to obtain the relevant information. Conclusion: Although there have been made several significant changes of rules leading to better safety, it is still necessary to continue the discussion about further measures such as the obligation to wear a helmet or to insert a box padding which could limit the risk of injury in the pole vault even more. Titule: Children's motor skills in track and field (children 6-9 years) Student: Jana Javůrková Supervisor: PhDr. Aleš Kaplan, Ph.D. Aims: One of the objectives of this work was the determination of the physical readiness and motion level of primary school children with the aid of five purposely selected motor tests. The research was conducted among the group of children of athletic prep. The results were compared with tabulated values in literature. Simultaneously was monitored the relationship between performances and measured body weight and hight of monitored children. Using the questionnaire were recorded the attitudes of children to sport, to other physical activities and last but not least, athletic disciplines from the point of view of popularity. Methodology: For the purpose of this thesis was evaluated a total of n = 28 children of primary school age, which were divided into two groups according to age, 6-7 years old (year of birth 2006-2005) and 8-9 years (year of birth 2004-2003). Comparison method was used in five motor tests (jump from the place, throwing the medicine ball over the head, shuttle run the 4 × 10 m, throwing a tennis ball and the depth of standing forward bend) with tabular values in the literature.
