iPhone Application for Number Plate Recognition
Sládeček, Roman ; Dvořák, Radim (referee) ; Procházka, Boris (advisor)
This thesis talks about theoretical and practical side of development of application for Apple iPhone mobile cell phone and for its operating system called iOS. In theoretical part are contained informations about history of this device, about tools for creating application for this mobile platform and there is shortly sketched procedure and process how the application is deployed into the phone. Next part deals with the licence number plates, their signification and integrity restrictions. Main core of whole thesis is a practical part about creation and implementation mobile application for recognition of that number plates with supporting of built-in camera and its consecutive text representation or manipulation with that data. In the final part there is a review of results which this application brings after testing and experimenting in different conditions.
SMART CAR: Traffic Signs Detection
Brzoza, Martin ; Motlíček, Petr (referee) ; Beran, Vítězslav (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is concerned about known methods of detection traffic signs in video sequence. In introduction are explained and located main benefits in the light of process speed and accuracy of detection. At the next chapters is designed system for traffic signs detection and classification. In the end is this system tested on prepared testing data and results are evaluated. The work is focused on method Template Matching for classification and color appearance model CieCam97 for detecting candidate areas.
Face Recognition
Kopřiva, Adam ; Hradiš, Michal (referee) ; Chmelař, Petr (advisor)
This master's thesis considers methods of face recognition. There are described methods with different approachs: knowledge-based methods, feature invariant approaches, template matching methods and appearance-based methods. This master's thesis is focused particulary on template matching method and statistical methods like a principal component analysis (PCA) and linear discriminant analysis (LDA). There are described in detail template matching methods like active shape models (ASM) and active appearance models (AAM).
Detecting Objects in Images
Kubínek, Jiří ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Hradiš, Michal (advisor)
This work is dedicated to methods used for object detection in images. There is a summary of several approaches and algorithms to solve this matter, especially AdaBoost algorithm with its improvement, WaldBoost and several features used for object detection. Vital part of this work is dedicated to extending training datasets for classifier training and extending the current object detection framework with histogram of gradients features implementation. Integral part of this work is analysis of results by experiments evaluation.
Tooth Detection of jaw 3D Computer Polygonal Model
Kantor, Roman ; Hulík, Rostislav (referee) ; Kršek, Přemysl (advisor)
This document discusses a problem of tooth detection on jaw 3D polygonal model. It describes known methods that can be used to reach expected results, such as their advantages and disadvantages. Considering this, I choose one solution that is closely described with all theory needed for its implementation.
Learning Detectors by Tracking
Buchtela, Radim ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Hradiš, Michal (advisor)
This thesis is devoted to learn detectors by object tracking in video sequence. In this thesis, we discuss methods for object tracking, object detection and online learning and possibilities of their using in sophisticated techniques, which combine object tracking and online learning detectors.
Static model of scene
Sikora, Jan ; Petyovský, Petr (referee) ; Richter, Miloslav (advisor)
This thesis deal with various methods of background detection and with it related motion detection in a scene. It's progressing from simplest methods to more comlex. For every one are reviewed the possibilities of using and her drawbacks. In introduction are described various types of scenes according to background and foreground type e.g . according to movement objects speed or presence of movement in background. Is proposed several common or specific improvements for obtaining better background even by using simple method. Next part of work solve real situation of shaking camera. There are tested two basic methods for optical stabilization. The first is registration of images by template matching. Alternative method used interest points (corners). Both methods are closely examinate and is sought best way to match following pictures. Except shaking of camera this work deal with rotating camera and in theory solve detection background from cameras placed on ridden car. Part of work is creation database of different types scenes
Optical measurement system
Opravil, Jan ; Horák, Karel (referee) ; Richter, Miloslav (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the creation and testing of optical measurement system. There are basic parts of computer vision. Some ways of image preprocessing and templates matching are discussed. Everything is directed to a particular practical task. Selected methods for templates matching are the Correlation Method, the Classical and Hybrid Hausdorff Distance, Radial and Circular Sampling Space. These methods are programmed in C++ and they are compared with function for searching templates from specific library.
Voice recognition of standard PILOT-CONTROLLER control commands
Kufa, Tomáš ; Polách, Petr (referee) ; Honzík, Petr (advisor)
The subject of this graduation thesis is an application of speech recognition into ATC commands. The selection of methods and approaches to automatic recognition of ATC commands rises from detailed air traffic studies. By the reason that there is not any definite solution in such extensive field like speech recognition, this diploma work is focused just on speech recognizer based on comparison with templates (DTW). This recognizor is in this thesis realized and compared with freely accessible HTK system from Cambrige University based on statistic methods making use of Hidden Markov models. The usage propriety of both methods is verified by practical testing and results evaluation.
Face recognition
Škrobák, Dalibor ; Číka, Petr (referee) ; Kyselý, František (advisor)
This thesis is focused on face detection in static picture. Theoretical part contains color spaces (RGB, HSI, YCbCr), methods for skin detection (explicit, parametric or non-parametric methods), image metric, edge detection, mathematical morphology, methods for classification faces (appearance-based methods, feature invariant approaches, knowledge-based methods, template matching methods). Practical part of this thesis contains concept and practical realization two algorithms for segmentation skin in static image (simple method based on Cr chroma components and statistical method). Practical part contains concept and practical realization two algorithms for classification face (appearance-based method and template matching method) too.
