System of comprehensive care for people with visual disabilities in Czech Republic

The thesis deals with the problem of blind people in the Czech Republic. It describes the care for the blind from their birth to an old age. It deals with the specifics of different age groups and describes organizations providing care for them. The thesis contains the current problems from the practical point of view, case studies and the interviews with blind people.
Newborn screening and further care of a child with hearing disability and its family - description of current situation in the Czech Republic

The aim of this thesis is to describe the institutional mechanism by which parents whose children were by neonatal screening suspected as a hearing impaired are currently experiencing. The theoretical part focuses on neonatal hearing screening, its appearance in the Czech Republic and abroad, its history, legislative etc. There are also described possible ways of follow-up care for a child with hearing impairment in the Czech Republic. The practical part is based on interviews with medical staff who performs neonatal hearing screening and mothers of hearing impaired children. The aim was to see how, in practice, works neonatal hearing screening, and also the experiences of parents of hearing impaired children with screening and the care for their child that came after. Newborn hearing screening in the Czech Republic Abstract The aim of this diploma thesis is to summarize the important and actual information about a newborn hearing screening and its related topics. The theoretical part of this thesis contains the contemporary knowledge of the issue, the definition of terms for a comprehensive setting of issue in the context, illustrates the current state of knowledge of the issue in the Czech Republic in the comparison to some European and world countries and reveals some more directly and inextricably related topics. The practical part is based on the knowledge of the theoretical part. The practical part focuses on identification of the level of awareness of newborn hearing screening among pregnant women, which was investigated by a questionnaire. This part also analyzes, evaluates and discusses the results and suggestions for practice. The task of the practical part was not only to identify the research data, but also to provide information to expectant mothers about the possibilities and significance of the newborn hearing screening by appropriate form, as this topic is very current for the general public. Importance of special education care during the upbringing and education cihldren with dysgenesis corpus callosum

This thesis deals with the special pedagogical support to upbringing and education of children with the condition of dysgenesis corpus callosum. In order to achieve a complex approach and view of the problematic I am first describing the nature of the disability. Later on in the thesis I am then over viewing different approaches and concepts of education for children with the condition of combined disability. However, the key part of my theses is a casuistry of a young girl suffering from dysgenesis corpus callosum and I am analyzing how her education was and is influenced by her special education teachers.
Active support for children of early and pre-school age with risk psychomotor development

Resume My dissertation follows early child support and care offered to children of early and pre- school age with risk psychomotor development. This support includes not only help to children with physical, mental or sensual defects, but also help to their patents, who participate in the research by filling anonymous questionaires regarding their satisfaction or displeasure with given subjects. The results of the research show among other two fundemental outcomes based on positive evaluation of the specialists who were taking care of the children and their parents. It also shows the satisfaction with consulting services to the parents who are using using them.
Development of Children with visual impairments

The theme of this bachelor thesis/work is the development of a child with visual impairment and how to work with them. The work consists of theoretical, practical part and the annexes. The theoretical part is focused on the development of the child and how can this handicap influence its evolution. I also briefly mentioned/characterised the most common children's visual diagnosis. One of these chapters is focused on cerebral palsy - the most frequently type of handicap that can be accompanied eye disorder. The space in this work is devoted to the early care focused on the child with some visual and combined handicap. The practical part of the work consists of two case studies, the first one about the boy with visual and combined disability, and the other one about the boy with the purely visual handicap. In conclusion, both these studies are compared from the using methods point of view and from the providing services in the early care. In the annex, there are photographs of the equipment, which are used to stimulate sense of sight and visual training.
