Evaluation of technical, economical, and personal aspects of e-learning in the SAP LS system in ČSOB, a. s.

This book focuses on an evaluation of technical, economical, and personal aspects of e-learning deployment in a theoretical plane and in the specific environment of the bank ČSOB, a. s. The thesis begins by an introduction of the term e-learning and a brief description of main properties and characteristics of this new trend in a field of not only corporate education. Special attention is devoted to an assessment of business benefits and cots of education; every aspect is analyzed and compared both for the classical brick and mortar classroom instructor led education and for the e-learning. The thesis introduces two mathematical models for assessing an effectiveness of e-learning deployment. Theoretical concepts are applied to data from a real course which was run in one of the main Czech banks ČSOB, a. s. Last part briefly examines the concepts and benefits of SCORM standard package and its support in the SAP LS 600 system.

Flood control: evaluation of effectiveness of public expenditure programs

Public expenditures are a very important part of public finance. These expenditures are one kind of state interventions. In long term we can observe an increasing trend of public expenditures. Very often, these expenditures are spended inefficiently and uneconomically. To be spend efficiently and economically, it should be obvious to evaluate their effectiveness. But the current situation of this problem in the Czech Republic is not ideal and usually effectiveness is not evaluated. Absence of this evaluation is a big problem of system of public finance. This thesis solves the problem of evaluating effectiveness of the public expenditure programs on the real program, called "Flood prevention". This program is implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and itś main aim is to increase the protection against flood in the Czech Republic. The first phase of this program was realized in the years 2002-2007 (the second phase has been realized in the years 2007-2012). This thesis is devoted to the first phase and the main aim is to evaluate this program with an available method. One hypothesis was set: That the program "Flood prevention" was effective and all the targets were realized. In this work I tried to find, if this hypothesis is true or fals.

Implementation of the digital archive in multinational company

The goal of this work was to process the problematic of the digital archive -- implementation of the digital archive into the payroll system include completion analysis of effectiveness. A part of this diploma work includes detailed analysis of the effectiveness of the digital archive used in the company with the international activity, from its benefits till its cost that relate with the implementation of the digital archive. In the work it is described the problematic with the implementation itself in praxis, it is explaining the digital archive from the technological aspect in detail, even from the users side. It is described the process of extensive analysis of the digital archive in the company and comparing with the manual archiving of the data, with the help of the multi-criteria decision making. The goal was to find out if the implementation of the digital archive has got such a proofing value and met the expectation of all ADP managers. For the calculation there was used the method the determination of the weight of certain criteria and the levels of realization. The method was used for analyzing of the benefits, analyzing of the cost came from actual measurable units. Then there were used three methods for the comparison of the costs and incomes: creation of the quotient of costs and incomes, the graphical scheme of costs and incomes and transformation of the costs into incomes and defining the value of benefits. This whole process of calculation was repeated twice. In the first part there were used my own experience and knowledge and the weight was chosen by my opinion. Then In the second part there was used a question-form that was given to the German clients.

Valuation of investment in the existing firm

The goal of the disertation is valuation of economic effectiveness of the project of building and operation of data centre (telehouse centre). The theoretical part contains basic principles and methods of risk analysis of investment project (break event point, sensitivity analysis), the description of preparation and realisation of investment project, planning of cash flow, determination of discount rate, the possible ways of finance of investment project, the methods of valuation of effectiveness investments. The practical part contains the analysis of telecommunication market, Porters model of competitive powers in the sphere of telecommunication firm, specification of the costs of the project, price statement of Serverhousing, the plan of costs, plan of profit and lost statement, the determination of net present value.

Efectiveness Evaluation of Environmental Education

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá environmentálním vzděláváním, výchovou a osvětou a hodnocením jeho ekonomické efektivnosti. První část práce je věnována charakteristice vývoje v oblasti stavu životního prostředí a některých zásadních zlomů v přístupu společnosti k ochraně přírody včetně událostí vztahujících se k samotnému environmentálnímu vzdělávání, a to jak na úrovni mezinárodní, tak v podmínkách České republiky. Další text popisuje obecné souvislosti hodnocení ekonomické efektivnosti při každodenním lidském rozhodování a odlišnosti v případě hodnocení ekonomické efektivnosti využívání přírody a také uskutečňování environmentálního vzdělávání. Poslední část potom aplikuje snahu hodnotit ekonomickou efektivnost environmentálního vzdělávání na projekt Ekoškoly, jež je příkladem zavádění environmentálního vzdělávání, výchovy a osvěty v praxi, a pokouší se zjistit současnou situaci sledování ekonomické efektivnosti ve školách zavádějících tento projekt.

Measuring of relationship between IS/ICT's effectiveness and company?s effectiveness

V první části práce jsou analyzány nástroje pro měření efektivnosti firmy a nástroje pro měření efektivnosti firemního IS/ICT. U obou skupin je hodnocena jejich vhodnost pro měření efektivnosti. Dále jsou analyzovány faktory podmiňující efektivnost IS/ICT ? tj. řízení firemního IS/ICT a řízení a hodnocení IS/ICT investic. V další části jsou popsána specifika bankovního odvětví a současné trendy ovlivňující efektivnost bankovních procesů. V závěru práce jsou navrženy dvě metody měření vazby mezi efektivností IS/ICT a efektivností firmy jako celku. První z nich se opírá o statické hodnocení zralosti IT procesů a plnění firemních cílů. Druhá metoda vychází ze systémové dynamiky a dynamických modelů.

Využití analýzy návštěvnosti ke zvýšení efektivnosti internetových prezentací

Práce se zabývá efektivností internetových prezentací, jejím hodnocením a zvyšováním. Vychází z konceptů posuzování efektivnosti informačních systémů, které adaptuje na podmínky internetových prezentací. Definuje model pro posuzování efektivnosti internetových prezentací. Tento model dokáže integrovat všechny v současnosti používané metody pro hodnocení efektivnosti internetových prezentací a dokáže tak určit jejich roli při zvyšování efektivnosti. Ve druhé části je vysvětlena aplikace jedné z metod - analýzy návštěvnosti - na definovaný model. Práce popisuje teoretické pozadí analýzy návštěvnosti a její techniky použitelné pro hodnocení a zvyšování efektivnosti internetových prezentací.
