Control of Linear Motor based on Ultrasonic Detection
Veselá, Klára ; Kolářová, Jana (referee) ; Sekora, Jiří (advisor)
The focus of this bachelor thesis is to do research on possibilities of contactless distancemeasurement and linear stage construction. The first part describes four types of enginespossible to use in linear stages, their principles, advantages and disadvantages. Nextpart is focused on possibilities of contactless distance measurement. Based on thedescriptions, the most suitable modules are selected for the design of the system. Thissystem will maintain a constant distance from the object by using contactless distancesensor and linear motors.
Experimental workplace for research of car speed limiters
Kubát, Michal ; Možný, Radek (referee) ; Pokorný, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis deals with the issue of remote vehicle speed limitation. The aim of this work is to develop an experimental workplace where the speed limitation using connection to CAN bus will be tested. In the theoretical part, a research on existing solutions of speed limiters is conducted and their protocols and technologies are described. The theoretical part also includes a research and description of possible threats and attacks on technology ITS-G5. The practical part deals with the development of the experimental workplace that consists of an OBD-II simulator and a transmitter. The OBD-II simulator includes Arduino UNO and add-on modules, its communication is realised via CAN bus. Transmitter includes Arduino NANO. Then, a wireless communication between a transmitter and an OBD-II simulator on 433 MHz and the wireless speed adjustments are developed. Finally, the IVIM message is designed and implemented for car speed limitation. Its structure was selected according to ISO standards for communication in ITS-G5 technology. The implementation of this message was tested on an OBD-II simulator. On the whole, a complete experimental workplace was assembled, and its manual was created.
Security and Privacy in IoT
Utěkal, Josef ; Dzurenda, Petr (referee) ; Malina, Lukáš (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the topic of security and privacy in the field of Internet of Things (IoT), for which resource constrained devices are typical. It is very important to find a suitable operating system that, in addition to low computational requirements, would also offer the desired functionality for these constrained IoT devices, such as real-time capabilities. OS RIOT seems to be the one for IoT. It enables you to run applications written in C language on any supported hardware -- in this bachelor's thesis specifically on Arduino Uno and Arduino Due. The thesis also describes several cryptographic libraries that are supported by OS RIOT. The aim is to implement selected cryptographic libraries and measure their computational and memory requirements on both Arduino devices. This is preceded by a theoretical and practical familiarization with OS RIOT, which is realized by creating the first project, and measuring the computational complexity of each cryptographic function of the WolfSSL library on the Raspberry Pi 4 Model B.
Goniophotometer
Ivor, Martin ; Janáková, Ilona (referee) ; Honec, Peter (advisor)
The thesis deals with the design of a goniophotometer and the GUI (Graphical User Interface), capable of evaluating the photometric parameters of light sources and luminaires. The introduction contains theoretical information about photometry, photometric parameters, light sources, lamps, as well as the theory of measuring these parameters, and basic globally used data formats, designed to store the parameters of light sources. The core of this thesis, then describes the hardware, that makes up the proposed device, and the software needed to control the measurement process, visualization and storing the results. The conclusion is an evaluation of the functionality of the described device, and the measurements that were mediated by it, and an overall summary of the results achieved.
Single-phase wattmeter
Kolouch, Petr ; Knobloch, Jan (referee) ; Huták, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with wattmeters. The introduction is devoted to approach the issue. Subsequently, the principle of sensing of circumferential quantities, sampling theory and basic theory is explained. The next chapter discusses Arduino development kits. The practical part deals with the design of the circuit diagram and the printed circuit board. Further described is designed software. The final part tests the parameters of the designed power meter.
Wireless Control of Embedded M2M Devices Using Unlicensed ISM Band
Štůsek, Martin
This research work follows the idea of Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communication designing the radio controlled devices using the ISM radio band of 433 MHz. Implemented solution consists of transmitter unit (Raspberry Pi) and sets of receiver units based on Arduino Uno platform. To offer better user experience, simple management interface on the side of transmitter is implemented.
Active Prosthetic Hand
Svoboda, Michal
The aim of this thesis is to propose and produce prototype of active hand prosthesis. Prototype is based on myoelectric prosthesis principle, therefore it is meant to be controlled by EMG signals. In this specific case signals will be scanned from healthy arm. Arduino UNO development kit was chosen as the main controller. For measuring EMG muscle activity Shield EKG/EMG Olimax was selected.
Development of the testing device for length measurement
Kirchner, Jan ; Vetiška, Jan (referee) ; Andrš, Ondřej (advisor)
Aim of this thesis is a verification of possibility to measure displacement in small range using sensor based on the principle of strain gauge. For testing purspose, an evaluating unit was designed, made and assembled. This unit contains analog/digital converter, LCD and it has an abbility to move measuring plane using stepper motor. Next part of this thesis is about testing new prototype of strain gauge sensor, including evaluation of results of measuring. The performed measurements were measuring linearity, time stability and repeatability. Based on the results of the measurements, the possibility of using this type of length measuring device was confirmed for further development.
Datalogger or building constructions
Hendl, Adam ; Streit, Jakub (referee) ; Bradáč, Zdeněk (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with automated measurement of temperature, humidity and pressure in building structures. In the section dedicated to my work is primarily a process as I progressed in implementing the task. The next section describes the parameters of the components used to implement the measurement and data storage. This work also includes a design of a printed circuit board that includes auxiliary and measuring circuits.
Colorimeter for Medical Applications with NFC Connections
Šobich, Adam ; Čížek, Martin (referee) ; Sekora, Jiří (advisor)
This Master’s thesis deals with assembling of a colorimeter using NFC technology. The theoretical part introduces the principles of colorimetric measurement, calibration curve, and important physical quantities. Further, the principle of NFC technology, its architecture, and division of NFC devices are described. The goal of the practical part is to propose a structural design and software solution of a colorimeter. Particular emphasis is placed on the selection of the RGB sensor that is being tested and its results are being analyzed. The construction of electrical circuit and microprocessor control are being solved. The manuscript deals with the implementation of an application for the Android operating system, which serves as the user interface of the colorimeter. Obtaining data from the sensor and storing it in a memory of the NFC tag is provided by the Arduino platform. Issues that were encountered during the work are analyzed in the discussion.
