Augmented Reality System For Testbed Industry 40
Poláček, Matěj
This article deals with integration of augmented reality (AR) into Testbed Industry 4.0. Testbed is automated robotic barman intended for practical demonstration and verification of concepts such as Industry 4.0 or a digital factory. The main goal of this work is design and develop of Android application which integrate AR into this testbed. The application is based on real-time engine Unity with platform Vuforia.
Cathedral today
Klimeš, Jakub ; Mléčka, Jan (referee) ; Štěpán, Marek (advisor)
This project focuses on an ideal solution for restoring the roof of Notre-Dame in Paris, which burned down together with its spire on April 15, 2019. The main motive behind the design was to create a quiet space that will serve as a memorial of the fire and reflect the unity of the society that contributed to the rebuilding found. The primary step of the whole reconstruction is to find an adequate way of renewal and its ethical boundaries. Main attention is focused on the roof and on the spire of the cathedral. As a tribute to medieval builders who consecrated their lives into this magnificent piece of work. The exterior of the new design has the same silhouettes and proportions that it has got eight centuries ago, but with a touch of a modern day aesthetics. When designing the interior of the roof, it was really important to maintain a clear representation of Gothic architecture – the balance between darkness and light. The space is divided into two parts. The first part represents darkness, as an obstacle, which each of us has to overcome. The second part is full of natural light that seems to tear the roof of the cathedral and illuminates the entire space inside. At the heart of the design is a gem that matters the most, life. The spire of the cathedral is designed with four pillars that symbolize the connection of mind-spirit-body with physical world The idea of the spire reflects these seemingly different things, but together they unite into one piece.
Audiovisual Work Presentation in Virtual Reality
Lazorčák, Daniel ; Sikora, Pavel (referee) ; Říha, Kamil (advisor)
Goal of this thesis is research of Game Engines aviable for the creation of gallery of audiovisual artworks in virtual reality, research of texture mapping, choice of suitable game engine for our work, creation of scene of the virtual gallery in selected Game Engine, demonstration of projecting the artwork onto exhibit body by streaming it from internet storage with use of ambisonic sound that engine provides and with abillity to control the playback of the piece. Creation of search engine for looking up artpieces in database by using tags with option to project the found piece to the body. Properties of Game Engines Unity, Unreal Engine, Game Maker Studio, Godot and CryEngine are given. A working application of virtual gallery with implented audiovisual artpieces is created.
Better Chaperone Bounds Using 3D Sensors
Tinka, Jan ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Najman, Pavel (advisor)
Room-scale tracking encourages users to move more freely and even walk. Even though there has been much research on making the limited physical workspace feel larger in the VR,  these approaches have their limitations and require certain conditions to be met. This thesis proposes an alternative approach to the conventional play-area boundaries of high-end VR products such as the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift which are set by the user in a 2-D fashion as a means of enhance workspace utilization. A 3-D scanner is used to make a 3-D point-cloud model of the play area's surroundings. This model is then used to detect collisions and provide feedback to the user. Evaluation based on user tests showed that this approach can be useful, is well accepted by users and might be worth further research.
Augmented reality system for Industry 4.0 testbed
Poláček, Matěj ; Honec, Peter (referee) ; Kaczmarczyk, Václav (advisor)
The diploma thesis is concerned with the research of integration of augmented reality into the testbed Industry 4.0. Testbed is presenting automated robotic barman intended for practical demonstration and verification of concepts such as Industry 4.0 or a digital factory. The integration of augmented reality is realized via an Android application and creates the AR information system of the testbed. The theoretical part of the thesis is about Industry 4.0, the construction of the testbed and technologies of augmented reality used during implementation of the application. The practical part deals with the implementation and testing of the application. The conclusion includes an evaluation of the goals of the thesis.
Performance testing suite for Unity DOTS
Borufka, Roman ; Gemrot, Jakub (advisor) ; Husák, Robert (referee)
Game developers are searching for new ways of writing high performance code in order to adapt to trends in hardware development. Unity's relatively new DOTS system has introduced a new way, how to write code in order to fully exploit all aspects of modern processors, e.g. multithreading or SIMD instructions. The thesis focuses on creation of a generally-usable performance testing suite in order to benchmark the performance of various features of Unity DOTS system. Based on the results of the benchmarks a list of recommendations for writing high-performance solutions in Unity is compiled. The recommendations are evaluated in a real-time boids simulation.
Virtual Tour in VR
Pelánek, Lukáš ; Matýšek, Michal (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This thesis deals with the making of virtual tours in the virtual reality. It deals with panoramic photographs and their use in creating virtual tours. In this thesis, two applications were designed and implemented. The first one as a web editor for creating and the other as a mobile application for viewing virtual tours. The created solution provides a comprehensive tool for working with virtual tours.
Data Analysis and Clasification from the Brain Activity Detector
Jileček, Jan ; Černocký, Jan (referee) ; Szőke, Igor (advisor)
This thesis aims to implement methods for recording EEG data obtained with the neural activity sensor OpenBCI Ultracortex IV headset. It also describes neurofeedback, methods of obtaining data from the motor cortex for further analysis and takes a look at the machine learning algorithms best suited for the presented problem. Multiple training and testing datasets are created, as well as a tool for recording the brain activity of a headset-wearing test subject, which is being visually presented with cognitive challenges on the screen in front of him. A neurofeedback demo app has been developed, presented and later used for calibration of new test subjects. Next part is data analysis, which aims to discriminate the left and right hand movement intention signatures in the brain motor cortex. Multiple classification methods are used and their utility reviewed.
Action Game for GearVR
Mladý, Jakub ; Špaňhel, Jakub (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This thesis deals with the study of technologies and techniques for creating virtual reality for mobile devices.  It includes a description of the design and implementation of an action game, using Unity Game Engine, which demonstrates Gear VR's capabilities well. The thesis describes the obstacles that arise in the creation of games for virtual reality as well as their possible solutions. Graphic elements of the game were developed based on the results of continuous user testing. Particular attention was paid to exploring the impact of visual effects and game elements used in games on a user in virtual reality.
Innovative Game Demo in Unity
Schneider, Michael ; Chlubna, Tomáš (referee) ; Milet, Tomáš (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is a development of innovative game demo in the Unity engine. In the thesis is description of the most important systems of this engine. At the same time, the development of innovative concept is described. It is implemented as a demo and implementation of it is also discussed here. Part of the demo is editor, which allows to create new levels. The innovative concept of demo is to use energy transformations to successfully solve levels.
