Doskočil, Radek ; Dostál, Petr (advisor)
This dissertation thesis deals with problems of identifying client’s solvency in the insurance business and is drawn for the insurance companies needs. The main target of this work is a construction of methodology, which will provide managers a tool to support their decision making in cases of client solvency assessment. The basic theoretical background, an overview of the current state of the analyzed subject and the description of utilized methods are presented in the introductory part of this work. In following parts of this work is introduced a real database of insurance company’s clients, which serves as a basis to accomplish the defined goal. The source data were subject to a necessary analysis to determine the cross-correlations and variables entering the decision-making model. A large variety of traditional statistical methods, including relevant software were used to analyze the data. Decision-making model was formed with the help of artificial intelligence methods, especially fuzzy logic. The technical realization of the model was made using MATLAB software. The process of insurance company’s client solvency assessment methodology creation is described in detail and elaborated into phases. The fundamental part of the methodology, decision-making model, can be easily modified and adapted to the end user’s specific needs. The text also includes a verification and implementation of the model, an interpretation of the results, a comprehensive client solvency assessment methodology process in insurance business and the definition of contribution of this methodology to practice, theory and pedagogy.

Pískatá, Petra ; Korytárová, Jana (referee) ; Puchýř, Bohumil (advisor)
The aim of this master’s thesis is to find the best type of mortgage loan for several kinds of borrowers. The first part describes personal housing financing, use of loans, use of mortgages in general. At the end of this theoretical part the value analysis is explained as a tool for mortgage lender (or the type of mortgage loan) selection and the way of reaching this goal is defined. Second part is a practical example of how to make decision and find the best choice. It selects the most important criteria and real cash flow is simulated to asset the price of each possibility. Using the discrimination method and efficiency rate the possibilities are ranked. Results are commented on and recommendations are set to every type of client. In conclusion, general method for selection before getting a mortgage is proposed.
Multi-Agent Strategy Game over Ants
Šimetka, Vojtěch ; Zbořil, František (referee) ; Král, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis describes challenges in design and development of a multi-agent real-time strategy game. It discusses necessary theoretical background and its consequences for the game design. The resulting game implements, apart from features and game control which can be found in nowadays RTS games, three different levels of artificial intelligence in which each unit is an agent. Moreover, there is a unique cooperation mode, where units can be controlled by user and artificial intelligence at the same time. In addition, the game is designed in such way that it can be easily extended with new artificial intelligences, therefore, used for teaching agent systems. A number of experiments was performed in order to evaluate both game design and capabilities of artificial intelligence.
Strategy for Game Systems
Švestka, Marek ; Tóth, Michal (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis resolves the artificial intelligence representation in computer games. The goal was to find it's suitable interpretation methods. The issue was solved with "map"implementation, which is the n-dimension matrix holding the information about current game state for the concrete player. There were various types of these matrixes used in this thesis. Furthermore was designed a way to evolve computer opponents during the gameplay and created an algorithm, that gives the idea of the space in which it is located. Benefit from this thesis is a solution that makes artificial adversary close to human gameplay behavior. The outcome could also be used in simulators for military battles in real world.

Pískatá, Petra ; Heralová,, Renáta Schneiderová - (referee) ; Pavelková,, Martina (referee) ; Hromádka, Vít (referee) ; Heralová,, Renáta Schneiderová (referee) ; Korytárová, Jana (advisor)
This doctoral thesis widely analyses the process of investment decision-making. In its individual parts, it researches models used for planning, analysing and evaluation of investments projects, but also models used for final decision about realization of the investment. Investing activity is present in world economic cycle in all it’s phases. Capital sources used for financing if the investment projects are scarce and must be handled with care. For this reason, there are many supportive methodologies and models employed in managing of the investments as well as instruments developed to miti-gate the potential project risks. However, even utilization of these instruments and models can’t guarantee the expected results. There are uncertainties, errors and in-accuracies in the process that can thwart investment decisions. The aim of the thesis is to analyse the investment decision-making process (from the initial idea to the realization of the investment project) and to identify the main un-certainties – factors influencing the success / error rate of models for investment project planning as well as the decision on their realization. The main outcome of the thesis is an overview of these factors and recommenda-tions on how to work with these factors and make the process as effective as possi-ble. Another output is an analysis and recommendations for the use of financing sources and mix of the instruments that should be used to mitigate the potential impact of risks that are connected to all investment projects.
