Methodology of personal safety in emergencies

The diploma thesis "Methodology of human protection in emergencies at primary school" is focused on the practical teaching of pupils. It outlines the practice of dealing with possible extraordinary events according to the specific requirements of the Všetaty Primary School. In the theoretical part, inclusion of the given issue in education, legislation and detailed analysis of the framework educational program for basic education are presented. It is possible to divide extraordinary events and its further specification. Emergencies and general principles of behavior are established in the event of their occurrence. Population warning and alert, integrated rescue and emergency call lines are pointed out. First aid in involved in the conclusion. The research part describes a research survey which used various information sources, based the method of interview and analysis of theoretical documents. The main objective of the research is to find out which emergencies endanger the Všetaty region and to design the activities in the educational program in compliance in accordance with the found threads. PhD Thesis Abstract: John Michael Quinn V In the 21st century, the prevention of illness, disease and risks to health ushered in public health and medical practice with mixed results. War, hybrid warfare, conflict, complex emergencies and disasters remain significant public health risks and areas of strategic concern; focused epidemiological study in health policy remains elusive. The paradigm shift from major world powers leading global affairs and affecting global health to multiple state and non-state actors vying for power and influence regionally has possibly led to an increase in small scale and low intensity conflict with high morbidity and mortality, including both noncommunicable (NCD) and communicable diseases. Volunteers Preparing for Emergencies in Regional Associations Czech Red Cross in South Bohemian Region

Volunteering in emergency situations requires comprehensive knowledge of the context of these situations: crisis management issues, including legislation, involving of NNO in the integrated rescue system and cooperation with a local government, the principle of access to those who are affected; including first aid, teamwork and self-care. The training of volunteers is very important for both, the quality of volunteer work and for volunteers themselves and humanitarian organizations pay special attention to it.The aim of this work is to summarize the findings from the literature, to prepare them for the use of volunteers and to map the training system of volunteers and members of the Czech Red Cross in general, and on the specific example of regional associations in the South Bohemian region. To achieve the objective, an analysis and summary of the domestic literature on training volunteers in emergencies was realised. Furthermore, the case study, using data from secondary sources, internal documents and from expert interviews was compiled. The comparison of nuclear power image in media before and after Fukushima Daiici nuclear disaster.

This diploma thesis focuses on the changes in the media image of nuclear power in Ceska Televize, which is the only public television in Czech Republic. The study uses a quantitative research method, content analysis, to find out the changes of nuclear power representation in media and to compare changes of news construction mechanisms in the period of two years - one year before and one year after the Japanese nuclear power plant Fukushima Daiichi disaster. The accident started on 11th March 2011 and there is a short description of the situation in Japan at the beginning of the thesis. The theoretical part of thesis serves as an overview of basic information on principles of the media studies theory and mechanisms of news construction (work with information sources, the news value concept, agenda setting, the framing concept), which is also shown from the environmental point of view. The study also focuses on the nuclear power image in the socio-political field and there are some more information about the nuclear power development and status in Czech Republic. Title: Psychological reactions to different types of emergencies and disasters Objectives: Develop a general overview of human behavior patterns of individuals and groups in unexpected situations. Methods: In this work were used the methods of analysis and comparison. The analysis was applied to the analysing of different types of emergencies and disasters. By comparison were then compared patterns of different types of personalities among themselves, but also depending on the type of threat. Results: It was found that the response to external stimuli are internal conditions, individual abilities, attitudes and temperament. A major role but also plays a readiness on the situation. The diploma work is called: The cooperation of psychosocial crisis workers and fire fighters. Psychosocial crisis workers and fire fighters meet at extraordinary situations - at disasters, where they are in the role's of helpers. The diploma work is written from the position of newcomer, who is learning how to do their job well. The aim of this thesis is to chart the areas and possibilities of the cooperation between these two professions which meet in practice, so that they can make their job well and in harmony with their own expectations and expectations of the others. The thesis bear upon specialized literature from Czech and foreign environment. Analysis of aviation accidents caused by incorrect maintenance

This bachelor´s thesis covers the aviation accidents caused by incorrect maintenance. It is especially dedicated to the most common human errors and conditions, that can act as precursors to incidents and accidents. The thesis consists of three parts. The first part summarizes the basic statistics of accidents. The next part analyzes the most common causes of accidents due to bad maintenance and methods, that could be used to reduce them. In the last part, there are selected accidents caused by incorrect maintenance focusing on the reformation leading to safer flights.
