Loop Powered Field Instrument with HART Interface
Kunz, Jan ; Havránek, Zdeněk (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis describes design and development of creating field instrument demonstration kit. Kit is capable of measuring multiple sensors such as thermocouples, RTDs, or pressure sensors, analogue sensor simulation is also provided. Sensor’s side is isolated from output, which is composed of 4 - 20 mA current loop and HART interface. Current loop also provides power supply and kit can communicate via HART also when alarm current (3,2 mA) is set. Basic safety features like open wire detection, over and undervoltage protection are also implemented.
Application of Thermoelectric Module for Temperature Control
Gofroň, Vojtěch ; Andrš, Ondřej (referee) ; Houška, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis describes the possibilities of use thermoelectric modules for temperature control in a temperature chamber. In the theoretical part are shown physical principles of thermoelectric cooling, heating and power generation. The main part regarding thermoelectric modules describes its design, use and important parameters for temperature control. The next chapter is focused on measuring of quantities important for temperature control using thermoelectric modules. The last part describes few proposals of a temperature chamber design.
Heat measurement of electric machine
Trnka, Zbyněk ; Vítek, Ondřej (referee) ; Janda, Marcel (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor´s thesis was to familiarize with various methods of measurement of the temperature of electrical machines with cooling. The introduction of this work is dedicated to basic terms and definitions from spheres of advection, circulation, losses and heat removal from electric machine. The attention is especially devoted to contact measurement by means of thermocouples and next the measurement of temperature without contact. Finally, the work goes into analysis of losses, heat removal and measurement of the temperature of asynchronous machine.
Measurement of thermal field in electric machines
Dostálek, Martin ; Vítek, Ondřej (referee) ; Janda, Marcel (advisor)
Diagnosis temperature is one of the most important disciplines. We meet it in everyday life, but it is very important for all sectors of industry. This is a measurement providing an immediate state of the measured object. Contact measurement of different temperature sensors and contactless measurement using thermal imagers. The important part is the measurement of temperature rise of induction motor. Part of the work deals with losses in the electric motor. These losses are converted into heat, which affects from various parts of the machine. Correct identification of the temperature field is important in helping to design the cooling system of the instrument. Virtually the data obtained are compared with theoretical data. We will capture part of the device and realize thermal simulations in a suitable simulation program. We propose modifying the cooling machine and the resulting data from the simulation compares.
Temperature measurements with thermocouples
Hyrš, Jan ; Kandus, Bohumil (referee) ; Podaný, Kamil (advisor)
The work is aimed at measuring temperature with thermocouples. Brief is made introduction to its basic measurement and distribution. The principle function of the thermocouple is explained, and also describes its basic properties. The paper also described how they integrated into a circuit. Performed an overview of the use of thermocouples in practice, indicating illustrative examples. In conclusion, it is processed and evaluated executed experiment temperature of hotplate´s stove.
Testing of low power microcontroller with integrated analog circuits
Kurzov, Kirill ; Matějásko, Michal (referee) ; Chalupa, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deal with testing of low power microcontroller with integrated analog circuits. It describes the program for measurement with RTD, which is a part of the printed circuit board, thermocouple and external PT100 sensor. The code is writen with an optimization of a measure circuit due to minimisation of the current consumption.
Realization of the control device for a temperature chamber
Obšil, Martin ; Levek, Vladimír (referee) ; Čožík, Ondřej (advisor)
The bachelor‘s thesis deals with the realization of the temperature chambre control. In first part there are definitions of different types of the power regulation. In the second part of this work are approached an infrared ceramic heaters and a heat transfer by radiation. The third section is about realization this device. There are explanations of realization of each part. The whole circuit is controlled by a microprocessor which also controls the power section with triac which regulates power on the infrared ceramic heater. The next part deals with a design of the printed circuit boards. In the fifth section is desctription of the software and in conclusion there are demonstrated results of the work.
Temperature measurement in reactor VVER 440
Virgl, Martin ; Katovský, Karel (referee) ; Povalač, Aleš (advisor)
The main goal of this work is to get acquainted with the issues of temperature measurement and signal digitization in the theoretical level and temperature measurement in the VVER 440 reactor and on inseparable parts of the main circulation loops of the Dukovany Nuclear Power Plant and signal processing of temperature sensors. The measurement of temperatures in the power plant reactor is focused mainly on the used temperature sensors, A / D converters and a description of the systems processing these outputs. Furthermore, the work analyzes the data obtained during the calibration of temperature sensors in the isothermal state and the measurement of the resistance thermometer and thermocouple in laboratory conditions.
Design of education model of termocycler
Smělý, Jakub ; Sikora, Michal (referee) ; Vlach, Radek (advisor)
This work describes the design of the learning model thermocycler. Measurement and control of temperature trends by measuring MF624 card and computer in real time. They are described thermoelectric phenomena associated with the operation of Peltier elements and measured using thermocouples.
Temperature measurement of an asynchronous motor
Bartoň, Petr ; Deeb, Ramia (referee) ; Janda, Marcel (advisor)
In this thesis there are described methods which are used in order to measure a temperature in electric machines. Whereas there is an influence of magnetic field and mechanical effects in the electric machines it is possible to use only limited number of methods for measuring temperature. These methods can be divided into two basic groups. The first group is being called "contact measurement" and while the second one is "non-contact measurement". Contact measurements are performed by usage of resistant sensors or thermocouples. On the other hand, non-contact measurements are performed by pyrometers and thermal imager cameras. Theoretical values of warming are determined by the FEMM which operates on the basis of the finite element method. In the practical part there are compared several methods whereby asynchronous engine was measured at various loads. Measured values are compared with theoretical values.
