Temporary foster care

The thesis deals with the positives and risks of temporary foster care from the perspective of children and foster parents. The first part characterizes foster care and its forms, legislation, foster carer and social security of foster parents. The second part characterizes temporary foster care and also emphasizes the constant readiness of foster parents. It also deals with the process how can person become a foster parent, then with a foster care agreement and legislation. It also deals with foster care benefits and the maintenance obligations of parents towards their children. It also mentions the reasons for the inclusion of the child in the temporary foster care, the conditions for foster parents, the role of foster parent and his skills. It also highlights the possibility of contact of the child with the biological family and preparing for handing over the child to aftercare (long-term foster care etc.). In the third part, it deals with the positives and risks of temporary foster care. The work has concluded that temporary foster care is beneficial and the best option for the child.
Integration of childern raised outside the family in society

This diploma thesis called Integration of children raised outside the family into society deals with life stories of young adults who left a children's home. The main aim of the thesis is to find out the fates of young people who are leaving susbsitute family care. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and empirical. In the theoretical part of the thesis is decribed the issue of family from its typology, functionality and remediation. It also deals with the system of substitute family care, including institutional care and its pittfalls, leaving institutional care and related problems in entering independent life. Briefly, there are also described projects facilitating the integration of young individuals into society when they are leaving institutonal care. The empirical part of the thesis was processed by qualitative method of questioning, using the technique of narrative interview. The research group consisted of ten adults who grew up in a children's home in the South Bohemian Region and have experience of leaving the children's home. Data were processed using ATLAS.ti software, open coding and subsequent data categorization was performed. Research has shown that young people leaving a children's home at a very young age have difficulty entering independent life, especially in the areas of finance, employment, housing and social networking. Despite the preparation that takes place in a children's home, it is difficult for them to succeed at such a young age outside the children's home without the support of someone close to them that could help them to solve difficult and everyday worries. The diploma thesis could serve the general public interested in this issue because it contains a brief outline of theoretical information. It could be also used as an information source for organizations with this target group, as it maps the basic problems and needs of this target group.
Using art-therapy in specific artistic expression of children from children´s home.

This Bachelor thesis is dedicated to the possibilities of the application of art therapy in the institution of children{\crq}s homes combined with school, and to the analysis of the artistic expression of children living in these institutions. In the first part of the work, general difficulties of the institutional care are described, as well as some behavioural disturbances that appear most commonly in children{\crq}s homes combined with school. Furthermore, the work introduces main approaches to art therapy and to the development of children{\crq}s artwork. The main part of the work deals with a two-year process of a group art therapy in a specific institution, and with the work with clients. Two detailed casuistries illustrate the continuous results of the therapy. In conclusion, the thesis summarizes the character of a typical artistic expression of children from children{\crq}s homes combined with school, and several examples of the images illustrating this expression are enclosed. Finally, the results of the work are compared with the findings discussed in secondary literature.
Deprival Syndrome of Children, its Interpretation and Possibilities of Reparation in School Environment and Institutional Care

This bachelor thesis aims to describe the basic characteristics and problems related to deprivation syndrome in children, provide educators the information needed for effective orientation in the area, to recognize deprivation syndrome, emphasize the importance of relationships that go beyond the educational environment and have a societal character and offer tools and mechanisms that lead to effective prevention and possible remedial syndrome. The work is divided into two main sections. The first part defines the basic terms and conditions of deprivation syndrome formation and its symptoms. It refers to the characteristics of resource deprivation syndrome and how it translates into behavior syndrome children. The second part focuses on possibility of prevention and remediation deprivation syndrome. Emphasis is placed on the importance of the interconnectedness of life and many areas of society. Also important is the influence of family coherence and teaching staff to optimize prevention and correction.
Ageing Processes and Family Functions Evolution

This work summarizes the third period of the human life. The changes arising during the period and relationships between elderly and the rest of the family are described. The care about independent old people is divided into two groups: provided by a family member or a professional assistant. The theoretical part is supported by the survey of health and long-term care in European Union. Knowledge and attitudes of a population of ten European countries with significant differences in social and economical markers are compared. The preferred type of the care, financial issues, insufficient care and a prevention of abusive behavior are investigated too. The results of the survey allege that the quality of the care in Czech Republic is satisfactory but still incomparable with standard in countries in Northern or Western Europe.
Bibliotherapy with abandoned children

Bachelor thesis "Bibliotherapy with children in children's homes" is about using the bibliotherapy for children in children's homes. The main target is sum up all theoretic information of bibliotherapy and children's home and then makes a suggestion of suitable bibliotherapeutics techniques and literature for children, who live in children's homes. This project should use as a inspiration for specialist and all people, who would like to use bibliotherapy with abandoned children. The secondary target is to determine the availability of literature and materials related to bibliotherapy. The project is divided into three chapters. The first chapter deals with bibliotherapy, its theory and examples of application in practice in abroad and in the Czech Republic. The second chapter focuses on the children's homes and in particular the problems of children, who place there. The final chapter presents a proposal bibliotherapeutics techniques, tailored directly to the specific problems of children in children's homes. The result is a proposal bibliotherapeutics techniques and literature focused on specific problems of children in children's homes.
Institutional solution of the issue of unwanted children

This thesis deals with the problem of unwanted children in Czech Republic and looks for answers to solve it. Unwanted children are those children whose parents, for whatever reason, do not want to take care of them. Institutional solution is the solution decided by court. In the text there are presented options of these children and options of their parents. The paper therefore deals with a description of surrogate children care and its forms - surrogate family care and institutional care. Besides it brings also a description of forms system of legal anonymous abandonment of a newborn child. Characterizes children, reasons why parents abandon them and the parents themselves. Mentions causes of placing children into institutions and briefly describes also these institutions, including number of children placed in them. For better orientation it also outlines a gradual historical development of care of unwanted children.
