Optimization based on genetic algorithms for image registration
Horáková, Pavla ; Mézl, Martin (referee) ; Harabiš, Vratislav (advisor)
Diploma thesis is focused on global optimization methods and their utilization for medical image registration. The main aim is creation of the genetic algorithm and test its functionality on synthetic data. Besides test functions and test figures algorithm was subjected to real medical images. For this purpose was created graphical user interface with choise of parameters according to actual requirement. After adding an iterative gradient method it became of hybrid genetic algorithm.
Emotional States of Humans and their Determination using Speech Record Analysis
Lněnička, Jakub ; Míča, Ivan (referee) ; Smékal, Zdeněk (advisor)
The aim of the diploma project is to find a method through which it will be possibleto classify the selected emotion from speech. At the beginning of the work deals with the description of the human body and their voice-generating operation. Furthermore, the text deals with the problem of the human voice into digital form.Great attention is paid to the parameters of the speech signal with an emphasis on describing the symptoms to help the selected emotion. The work deals with therecognition of emotions and a description of some of them. The main part is finding the best methods to reduce symptoms of segmental and suprasegmental speech utterances. The results of success was achieved by comparing the classification of selected emotions when using multiple methods and compare their results. The most important criterion in assessing the results ofthe reduction parameters of the speech signal, based on previous research in this area.
Implementation of an evolutionary expert system
Bukáček, Jan ; Müller, Jakub (referee) ; Karásek, Jan (advisor)
This thesis is focused on working up evolutionals and genetics algorithms issues Especially for multiobjective algorithms VEGA, SPEA and NSGA – II. Thereinafter one of FrameWork working with genetics algorithms namely WWW NIMBUS. From this mentioned algorithms was selected VEGA algorithm for implementation in JAVA to preselected problem. Thereby problem is choice thick columns of profile according to predetermined criteria. Selected algorithm works on division of population into several groups and each group evaluates the resulting fitness function. Here is a sample implementation of this algorithm. Furthermore there is a example of working with FrameWork. In the next section are compared the results of generated progam with results that were obtained by FrameWork WWW NIMBUS. As for VEGA, and the Nimbus there are shown different results. The VEGA is presented also the development of individual fitness functions. Also, there are shown graphs, that can be obtained from NIMBUS. At the end of work is introduced the comparation of the results ane propose possible improvements.
Neural networks and evolutionary algorithms
Vágnerová, Jitka ; Rychtárik, Milan (referee) ; Hrubeš, Jan (advisor)
Objective of this master's thesis is optimizing of neral network topology using some of evolutionary algorithms. The backpropagation neural network was optimized using genetic algorithms, evolutionary programming and evolutionary strategies. The text contains an application in the Matlab environment which applies these methods to simple tasks as pattern recognition and function prediction. Created graphs of fitness and error functions are included as a result of this thesis.
Genetic Algorithms
Miček, David ; Pohl, Jan (referee) ; Honzík, Petr (advisor)
This thesis presents description of Genetic algorithm. The description begins with theory of complexity and following basic theory of genetic algorithm. Next part explains the principle of all three tasks – travelling salesman problem, knapsack problem and evolution of algorithm for five-in-a-row. The main focus was on developing the algorithm for five-in-a-row. The results were tested with other similar algorithms from internet. In case of travelling salesman problem and knapsack problem, the results were compared with gradient optimization methods.
Modeling antennas of the VUT 100 aircraft
Starý, Vladimír ; Tobola,, Pavel (referee) ; Raida, Zbyněk (advisor)
The thesis is aimed to analyze parameters of antennas, and work out the computer, which can be used to the modeling of the radiation of antennas of the VUT 100 aircraft. First, used antennas are divided according to the operation frequencies, and the polarization. Second, a MATLAB program is developed and described. The program computes radiation patterns at different frequencies for the different location of antennas on the VUT aircraft. Finally, the MATLAB optimization program is develop and described. The program changes the position of antennas so that the requirements of aircraft producer can be met.
Synthesis of electromagnetic bandgap structures
Šedý, Michal ; Kovács, Peter (referee) ; Raida, Zbyněk (advisor)
In microwave frequency band, the planar technology is mainly used to fabricate electronic circuits. Propagation of surface waves belongs to the significant problem of this technology. Surface waves can cause unwanted coupling among particular parts of the structure and can degrade its parameters. The problem can be solved using an electromagnetic band gap structure (EBG). These periodic structures are able to suppress surface waves in different frequency bands. This thesis is focused on the modeling of these structures in the program COMSOL Multiphysics.
Traffic Signs Detection and Recognition
Číp, Pavel ; Honec, Peter (referee) ; Horák, Karel (advisor)
The thesis deals with traffic sign detection and recongnition in the urban environment and outside the town. A precondition for implementation of the system is built-in camera, usually in a car rear-view mirror. The camera scans the scene before the vehicle. The image data are transfered to the connected PC, where the data are transformation to information and evalutations. If the sign was detected the system is visually warned the driver. For a successful goal is divided into four separate blocks. The first part is the preparing of the image data. There are color segmentation with knowledge of color combination traffic signs in Czech Republic. Second part is deals with shape detection in segmentation image. Part number three is deals with recognition of inner pictogram and its finding in the image database. The final part is the visual output of displaying founded traffic signs. The thesis has been prepader so as to ensure detection of all relevant traffic signs in three basic color combinations according to existing by Decree of Ministry of Transport of Czech Republic. The result is the source code for the program MATLAB. .
Optimization of network position prediction
Pospíšil, Petr ; Pfeifer, Václav (referee) ; Burget, Radim (advisor)
This work is about position prediction in network, it is focused to find Landmark closest to the Host in the network (with lowest distance vector). The algorithm is based on GNP system. In terms of GNP system simulation was selected method for mathematical part of position prediction. The method was Simplex Downhill. The designed algorithm was implemented in Java. In the first step chose Host continent by meassuring the distance vector. In next step is selected nearest part in the continent. In conclusion estimate Host its position and then closest Landmark. Results from this work is important for designing TTP protocol. The verdict is that the GNP can be used for TTP, but Landmarks must be located in uniform density.
MATLAB/ Global Optimization Toolbox: Solving Optimization Problems
Švihálková, Kateřina ; Dvořák, Jiří (referee) ; Lang, Stanislav (referee) ; Matoušek, Radomil (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with basic description of global optimization methods which are implemented in MATLAB environment. First part of this thesis describes two MATLAB's toolboxes -- Optimization Toolbox and Global Optimization Toolbox. This study also describes chosen algorithms from those toolboxes (Genetic Algorithms, Simulated Annealing, Pattern Search and Fminsearch) and describes it's implementation. The last part is focused on the solving of optimization problems. Rosenbrock's function, Rastrigin's function, Traveling Salesman Problem and Stepped Cantilever Beam Design Problem are being solved by methods mentioned above. Reached results of every task are compared to each other and evaluated.
