Legal status of a child after break-up of their parents Abstract The goal of this thesis is to thoroughly elaborate about possible arrangements of situation of a child after the break-up of their parents, with focus on specifics of joint custody. The aim is also to critically evaluate corresponding practices of the Czech Constitutional Court and to put current legal regulations into historical and comparative context. The topic of this diploma thesis is legal status of a child after break-up of their parents. It is focused both on children of married and unmarried parents. An extra chapter about legal status of children from atypical families is also included, which addresses unusual legal positions of children of same-sex parents, children born via surrogacy and children raised by foster and adoptive parents. In the first chapter the marriage, cohabitation and differences between these two is discussed. A brief description of how the law in question evolved is included as well. It is focused both on children of married and unmarried parents. An extra chapter about legal status of children from atypical families is also included, which addresses unusual legal positions of children of same-sex parents, children born via surrogacy and children raised by foster and adoptive parents. In the first chapter I discuss the marriage, cohabitation and differences between these two. A brief description of how the law in question evolved is included as well. Second chapter covers parental responsibility. The following part is mostly focused on the topic of custody including an overview of the historical context. In this part, forms of custody and their specifics are described and an overview of interpretation issues resulting from regulations and laws is given. The section is also supported by findings from the field of psychology regarding forms of custody with focus on joint custody and parent alienation syndrome. The children's group as a tool of harmonization of parental and working roles

The topic of the bachelor thesis is "Children's group as a tool of the harmonization of parental and work roles." Specifically, this thesis deals with how CHG participates in the solution of reconciliation of work and family which "tools" are used for that. The main aim of the work was to map out the advantages and disadvantages of the child group from the parents point od view. Its sub-goal was to identify other factors that contributed to retaining / gaining employment after returning from parental leave. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and research part. In the introductory part I am interested in the current state of preschool institutions in the Czech Republic. Then I get acquainted with the children's group in general and states its legal conditions. In the next part of the thesis are included the needs of parents concerning the provision of childcare, the pro-family measures and the issue of harmonization of work and family, which is key to the subject of my bachelor thesis. The method was chosen as a qualitative research strategy. A semi-structured interview was used to collect the data. Informant-parents, whose children attend a children's group in the Pilsen region, were selected by a special-purpose selection method. The practical part deals with the interviews themselves and their subsequent results. Research has found that parents are satisfied with the possibility of services for children, such as children's group. Not only do they have the opportunity to get back into the work process, whether it's after parental leave or during it, but it is also positive for the child. An example may be social contact with other children or work on their development autonomy, education. Parents also have time for themselves, which is very valuable. Any knowledge gained can be used as a source of information for other emerging child groups or those already associated with children's groups and what they should avoid, or, on the contrary, what parents are looking for and what needs to be further improved.
Analysis of the Czech and Spanish legal terminology in Family Law of Mexico

Bachelor thesis deals with Czech and Mexican legal terminology of the family law. The aim of my thesis is to analyze legislation of adoption and other forms of child care in the Czech Republic and Mexico, to create a comparison of legal adjustments of both countries, with highlighting the fundamental similarities and differences between them. This thesis is divided into practical and theoretical part. Theoretical part has two key chapters, including several sub-chapters. Practical part is composed of three sub-chapters, dealing with aspects of legal language in theory. Last, fourth, chapter is dedicated to analysis of legal language in practice. In the first chapter of the theoretical part I describe family law in general, its sources, principles and historical development in both compared countries. The second chapter is dedicated to the specific area of family law- adoption and other forms of child care. The practical part deals with the characteristics of legal language, the translation of legal terms from the source to the target language and contains analysis of legal terminology of Mexican family law. The thesis includes also bilingual glossary and summary in Spanish.
Provisional regulation of the circumstances of a child

This thesis focuses on the important private law institute of preliminary injunctions used for the provisional regulation of the circumstances of minors. The fundamental legal principle on which the paper is based is the principle of the best interests of the child, largely based on Art. 3 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, which states that the best interests of the child shall be a primary consideration in any decision-making concerning children. Emphasis is placed on the child's legal status as a party to the proceedings for a preliminary injunction and the consequent rights of the minor, focusing on the child's right to be heard. The individual chapters are devoted to a detailed analysis of Czech legislation relating to the topic in question, both under the current wording of the law and current application in practice. The first chapter offers a concise introduction to the addressed issue. The second chapter provides definitions of the key concepts related to the topic. Bachelor thesis "Nurse and her choice of care for the owen child" deals with the question of work - life balance. The work has a usual structure composed of two parts, theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part focuses on a topics that could influence the choice of child care and brings the basic knowledge on the established work topic by Czech analysis and foreign literky and magazíne informatik sources. The main points discussed in it include the profession of a nurse, role, family, maternity and the opportunities that lead to harmonize like work and family, areas that can influence the choice of child care. The empirici part has a traditional structure and describes the own investigation that has taken place in Motol Universtity Hospital within the Gynecological Obstretrics Clinic. The Specifics of social Work with a Family in Divorce from the social and legal Protection of Children point of View

This diploma thesis is focused on child protection in the context of divorce or separation of his parents and deals with the role of the authority of social - legal protection of children and the court in this matter. Mainly defines the terms of the applicable legislation in divorce matters (care of children after divorce, child's contact with the parents, alimony), which are usually the subject of protracted disputes between parents. The introductory section also mentions the importance of the family for the child and for society, the characteristics of the contemporary family, as well as divorce and its possible impact on the child and the wider surroundings of the family. In the empirical part, the work focuses on comparing the practices of social workers of the authority child protection offices in Prague with practices of social workers at the offices of towns in the Central Region in divorce issues, particularly in the area of investigation in the family. Next it examines also procedures of courts.
Implementation of Family Policy in Relation to Young Adults in the Czech Republic and Sweden. Focus on Students with Children

The objective of this thesis is to introduce the current generation of university students within the system of family policy of the Czech Republic and Sweden. The main focus is on a group of students, who got pregnant during their studies. It also points out to up to which point family policy engages in this period of their lives. The thesis' objective is also to introduce and provide with a detail view on not a particularly large group of mothers who are studying, on how they are perceived by family policies of both countries and what measures exist in the context of their situation. Both countries provide with a unique approach towards the presented situation which follows from a different evolution of family policies which are being compared. The application of tools of family policy towards student mothers in the Czech Republic and Sweden are presented on a case study. The conclusion of this thesis considers the measures which improve the situation of student mothers in Sweden and could be implemented in the Czech Republic as well.
