The analysis of frame synchronous generator
Marada, Ondřej ; Střelková, Radka (referee) ; Pokorný, Přemysl (advisor)
The thesis is focused on the examination of the utility of a synchronous generator of a small hydroelectric power station in the case of a change of working position of the machine. The utility will be measured on the basis of the examination of deformations and state of stress of the frame of the generator for the present running (with vertical axis of rotation of the generator) and subsequently for modified running (with horizontal axis of rotation). This will be accomplished partly on the static shell model by finite element method and consequently on the simplified dynamic model.
Swing axle of a truck
Holbík, Ondřej ; Novotný, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
The main purpose of this diploma thesis is to design a swing axle of a truck for 4x4 chassis without wheel reduction gears. The study consist of two parts. The first part contains designs of main parts of the axle, mechanism of suspension and steering. The second part contains the gears housing stress analysis using the finite element method. The housing of gears is the arm of the swing axle, which is the main part of the chassis.
Powertrain of racing Wankel rotary combustion engine.
Blažo, Marek ; Blaťák, Ondřej (referee) ; Zháňal, Lubor (advisor)
The main aim of master’s thesis was to handle the computing proposal and the construction design of the powertrain of racing Wankel rotary engine with 300 kW power output and in the case of 9000 speed per minute. On the basic of these values was made the primary design of the rotary engine, design of the eccentric shaft and rotor housing. Mechanical stress and torsional vibrations of the eccentric shaft were analyzed by using the course of indicator diagram.
Formula Student Vehicle Frame Optimization
Krkoška, Kamil ; Porteš, Petr (referee) ; Ramík, Pavel (advisor)
The goal of this diploma thesis was to create optimalizated frame design for Formula Student/SAE. Basic requirements were, that new design must meet the newest Formula Student/SAE rules and other various requirements. In the thesis are built up an overview of most important rules and also an overview of previous frame designs. Next are described design process of the new frame and its stress analysis in FEM software. Main attention is given to analysis of torsional stiffness. The results of analysis are compared to previous frame designs and to parameters of Formula Ford. There are also given recommendations and other possibilities for further frame design development.
Thermal-hydraulic calculation and stress analysis of a heat exchanger
Fiala, Petr ; Létal, Tomáš (referee) ; Nekvasil, Richard (advisor)
Main object of the work is stress analysis of specific parts of tube and shell heat exchanger by using MKP. Each part is judged by two different computation methods. The method based on computation values and the method nearing real condition of operation of device. To approach real load are in the work made basic heat transfer computations for entire device and for analyzed part are computed boundary conductance by using CFD.
Reliability analysis of the hip joint endoprosthesis ceramic head
Málek, Michal ; Janíček, Přemysl (referee) ; Fuis, Vladimír (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with probability of fracture ceramic head of total hip endoprosthesis during tests by the standard ISO 7206-5. In the first part is made stress analysis with method of finite elements in program ANSYS. Six types of ceramic head with different geometry was analysed for ideal geometry of head and shaft, and also for shape imperfections from nominal conical shaft and head. The final values of principal stress from stress analysis were entry values for the second part – probability of fracture analysis. Weibull weakest-link theory was applied, namely 3-Parameter and 2-Parameter Weibull distribution.
Optimum design selection of a cryogenic tank
Létal, Tomáš ; Gottvald, Jakub (referee) ; Nekvasil, Richard (advisor)
The purpose of this work is to find optimal design for mounting cryogenic tank into ISO container frame. Solution is based on stress analyses of several designs and theirs interpretation. According to standards, set of tests, which all cryogenic containers have to pass before being put into operation, is created. Designs are tested by final element method using software ANSYS. At first, results of the stress analyses provide base for improvements targeted to better meeting with needs of the standards. In final stage, the results participate in optimum design selection.
Wing Loading Calculation and Stressanalysis of the Glider
Freisleben, Michal ; Juračka, Jaroslav (referee) ; Jebáček, Ivo (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the calculation of composite wing loading and its stressanalysis. Furthermore work contains design of static strength test wing.
Hydraulic pullers
Kvasnica, Tomáš ; Malach, František (referee) ; Malášek, Jiří (advisor)
This Diploma thesis occupies with design of hydraulic puller. In work are mentioned possible types of construction. Choice construction of puller is disposed with parameters: maximum pushing force 50 kN, speed of piston rod 0,05 m/s. This work also contains FEM analysis by computer programme I-DEAS. The work also occupies with design of fluid drive.
