Effectiveness of McGill method at therapy of vertebrogenic algic syndrom.
Vlasák, Martin ; Malá, Jitka (advisor) ; Vomáčková, Helena (referee)
Title: The effectiveness of McGill's method in the treatment of Vertebrogenic algic syndrome. Objectives: The goal of this thesis was to determine the applicability of McGill's method to patients with diagnoses, that are collectively referred to as Vertebrogenic algic syndrome by comparing the measured data of proband with different locations of diagnosis of Vertebrogenic algic syndrome in the Czech Republic. Methods: This is a pilot experimental research involving 10 probands diagnosed with Vertebrogenic algic syndrome in the cervical spine, 10 probands diagnosed with Vertebrogenic algic syndrome in the thoracic spine and 10 probands diagnosed with Vertebrogenic algic syndrome in the lumbar spine. Each participant underwent a kinesiological examination according to the McGill's principles together with a SF-36 questionnaire. Measured values were compared and provided a basis for testing the hypotheses. The thesis uses methods of research, observation, querying and comparison of collected data. Results: Using the statistical analysis of the measured data demonstrated a positive effect of the McGill's treatment in terms of reduced pain in probands suffering from Vertebrogenic algic syndrome in all investigated locations. Comparing the measured data of individual groups shown that the difference in...
Posture changes to women in productive age who are subdued into yoga therapy
FRDLÍKOVÁ, Eva
The topic of this bachelor thesis is a yoga therapy and its impact on posture on women in productive age who suffer from vertebral algical syndrom (or VAS) The aim of this tesits was to find out in which way does yoga exercise impact a posture on women in productive age and if the yoga erxice influence back pain of women in productive age The bachelor thesis was divided into several parts. The first part is dedicated to VAS issue and terms like deep stabilization systém of the spine, breathing, posture and the spine itself. In the second part I aimed for yoga itself, where I have outlined yoga history, principlas of yoga practising, what is the meaning ang purpose of each yoga exercise, how to do the full yoga breath and what is the systém of "locks". The third part contains of a methodology and a description of the therapy and to the end also results of my research. In the end of thus thesis can be a discussion and a conclusion found. My qualitative research took 4 months in total and included 3 sfemale subjects in the age around 45. The therapy too place once a week, or once two weeks, and lasted for 60 minutes. Subjects had must done the exercise, which was done under supervision on therapy sessions, also at home every day to deepen the therapy effect. Each yoga exercise consisted of yoga breathing exercises, relaxing exercises, "greeting the sun" exercise and od classical asanas from Hatha yoga. Considering results of the practical part of my thesis I can say, that there came to total pain-relief or at least the pain decreased by each subject up. There also came to some improvements in movement coordination and to changes in posture holding in positive way up. This work might serve as a study materiál for general public, physiotherapist, yoga trainers or for those, who just too yoga lessons up.

1 Abstract Title: Exploitation of regular exercise based on the elements of developmental kinesiology for people suffering with back pain. Objectives: The aim of my diploma thesis was observing the effect of a group motional program based on tenets of developmental kinesiology for function of the motional system of clients suffering from back pain. Methods: The theoretical part of my diploma thesis was done with a method of literary recherché using technical literature, articles and studies. Experiment was chosen for the practical part, quasi in particular, which was complemented by method of qualitative research, personal case study in particular. There are two clinical casuistries paced in my thesis. There were two following methods for collecting data during my research: kinesiology analysis focused on anamnesis, check-up by sight, check-up by touch and functional probing (dynamic check-up of spine, diagnostically testing of deep stabilizing muscles.) Another methods used in my diploma thesis were assessments of pain with a usage of visual analogy scale and semi-structured interview. Pre-tests and post-test were identical. 10 people suffering from chronic back pain in an area of cervical spine or lumbar spine (5 clients suffering from chronic back pain in an area of lumbar spine and 5 clients suffering...

Title of thesis: The case study of physiotherapeutical treatment of a patient with diagnosis of Vertebrogenic algic syndrome of lumbar spine with defect statics and dynamics of the spine Aim: The aim of thesis is summary of theoretical findings, then study methodology purposes physiotherapy care, proposal of therapy and monitoring of therapy in patients with diagnosis of Vertebrogenic algic syndrome of lumbar spine with defect statics and dynamics of the spine. Methods: This bachelor's thesis was compiled on the base of internship on the Faculty's hospital Královské Vinohrady during the time period from 23. 1. 2017 - 17. 2. 2017. This thesis is divided into two parts. The first part is concerned with theoretical findings related to this diagnosis. The second, special part encompasses case report of a patient with diagnosis Vertebrogenic algic syndrome of lumbar spine with defect statics and dynamics of the spine. Results: In the first part it was managed to create theoretical knowledge of the issue. Success of therapy from the second part was confirmed by the output kinesiology analysis. The positive effects of therapeutic units are already visible subjective sensations and the pain reduction of patients. On the examinations results, we can see the improvement from input kinesiology analysis. Key...
Using methods of stretching lower extremities amongst patients with vertebrogenic algic syndrome
Kocsis, Ágnes ; Tichá, Monika (advisor) ; Konopáčová, Eva (referee)
Name: Ágnes Kocsis Supervisor: Bc. Monika Tichá Title: Using methods of stretching lower extremities amongst patients with vertebrogenic algic syndrome Abstract: The subject of this work is to evaluate the effect of stretching lower extremities amongst patients with back pain. The theoretical part deals with different kinds of stretching, guidelines and new methods of stretching. I focused on the stretching of the fascial structures and influencing shortened muscles using yoga exercises. I summarized the effects of training on the lower extremities shortened muscles, pelvis, posture and back pain. Both patients were males and approximately the same age, both were suffering from back pain and had at least three muscles in lower extremities shortened. I applied stretching of myofascial structures using foam rolling method and then yoga stretching exercise with the first patient. With the second patient I used only yoga stretching exercise. The aim of the practical part of the thesis was to determine, if the effect of stretching combined with foam rolling in advance to affect myfascial structures is greater than using only yoga stretching exercise. Patients performed therapy at home ten times. The results show that the stretching is more effective if fascial system is taken into account. The effect was tested...
