Prisoner's Family as an Object of Social Work

The diploma thesis deals with families who face sudden separation of a loved one due to imprisonment. From previous experience the work differs in focusing primarily focused on the family, not prisoners. Theoretical part is devoted to conceptual and legislative definition, the negative effects of imprisonment and the specific needs of the prisoners families as an object of help. Thesis marginally touches on recidivism in the chapter about the family as an entity assist in the reintegration of prisoners and also highlights the potential risks that may family for imprisoned in the process mean. It results from foreign experience, which is traditionally ahead. The empirical part of the qualitative research carried out within of self-help groups of prisoners families provides insight into the specific experiences of families. Its purpose is both to draw attention to this marginalized social group and its needs, as well as outline effective assistance, which would deal with this life situation the best. POTOCKÁ, Veronika. New approaches in penitentiary care - model of the Open Prison Jiřice

The aim of the rigorous work is to identify and characterize the innovative concept of penitentiary care applied in the treatment of convicted men in the building Open Prison in Jiřice. Emphasis is placed on the analysis of elements of innovation at the architectural level (modification of outdoor spaces "Open Prison", specific accommodation for convicts, construction of a breeding zone, cultivation zone, ornamental gardens) and at the socio-psychological level. This is reflected in the professional work and application of specifically focused activities of the treatment program. It is based on a higher degree of professional intervention in terms of the application of the method of "accompaniment" and "case management", an open approach of employees in a mutually constructive, supportive communication with convicts. In the practical part, a qualitative survey will be used, which will aim to compare selected areas of activities of the program of treatment of convicts included in the execution of imprisonment in a ward with a medium level of security and a low level of security. Prison with general security regime - high security department

The thesis aims to describe and analyze the process of professional treatment with emphasis on reducing criminogenic risks with convicted men placed into guarded prisons in section with a high level of security. Convicted criminals show diverse degrees of riskiness and different structures of criminogenic factors. In order for the Prison Service of Czech Republic to work with them effectively, it needs to know their criminological profile. For this stated purpose, it analyzes relevant anamnestic and special pedagogical data. The content of the treatment program is then determined based on their evaluation, which takes into account the variation of pedagogical, socio-legal and psychological approaches and methods, in regards to particular identified high-risk criminogenic factors and needs. The own research of the study, which forms the core of the practical/empiric part of the thesis, consists of the analysis of the self-reported assessed risk factors and subjectively percieved reactivity (alternatively analogous therapeutic responsiveness) and appropriate penitentiary-pedagogical interconnection of available treatment program activities. Factors influencing resocialization of persons released from prison

This bachelor thesis is focused to issue of resocialization of persons after imprisonment and factors that may influence the resocialization. The whole resocialization proces is not only in prison, where it should be most intense, but the process should continue after release from prison. In theoretical part the issue is described based on available literature. The empirical part is focused to find out the most important factors, which may affect the success of resocialization from the perspective of persons after imprisonment. The Research was carried out by using questionnaires.Eight hypotheses were defined. These hypotheses were evaluated and supplemented by research findings. Education and employment of people within penitenciary and postpenitenciary care

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to provide the reader with the insight into penitentiary and post-penitentiary care. It tries to describe the period of custodial sentence with its possible impacts on the sentenced person and the society. It puts a special emphasis on the purpose of custodial sentence which is a successful reintegration of prisoners back into the community and mitigation of the risk of their relapse. The importance of education and employment is stressed in this context and also within the programs for convicts and within post-penitentiary care. The thesis also describes specific groups of people that tend to appear in prisons and methods employed for their care. A special emphasis is put on individual approach to prisoners. The current trend of alternative sentencing is also mentioned. The thesis paints an overall picture of the contemporary conditions of the Czech prison service, including the possibilities of education and work activities in selected prisons. For these purposes the following sources are used - scientific literature, laws and regulations of the Czech Ministry of Justice and current statistics of the Czech Prison Service. The penal carew in the prison in Knyšperk nad Ohří in light of social pedagogic

The theme of this thesis is presentation of the theoretical and practical activities of the Czech Republic Prison Service in a resocialization of convicts from the social pedagogy perspective. The theoretical part of the thesis is defined by the basic theoretical issues related to rehabilitation of prisoners, an interpretation of the legal measures, methods of educational function and activities of teaching staff involved in a re-education of prisoners. An activity treatment program of prison Kynsperk nad Ohri in terms of socio-pedagogical and convicted points of view is analyzed in the empirical part of this thesis then.

Problems of social integration persons after serving a prison sentence

The diploma thesis "The Problems of Social Integration after Serving a Prison Sentence"deals in theoretical part with theories of punishment and function and aim of prison sentence. In more detail attention is paid to serving a prison sentence especially programmes of treatment in theoretical part. The corrective function of imprisonment is not in the long term accomplished and there is necessity to improve the system of care for person released from prison. Thesis tries to show necessity of continuity and deepening penitentiary with post- penitentiary care. Opinions of prisoners on the life reality after release are noticed in research part of this work.

Effect of education on ability of resocialization by young prisoners

1. RESUMÉ Aim of this work was afer to effect of education on repeated criminal activity made of prisoners of age 18-26. For gears of this work I specificity triple style of education, that is mean education in functional family, in functionless family and institutional care. And effect of particular educations scope I showed by researched in prison Horní Slavkov. We can say, that young prisoners belongs to the group of prisoners, which can be somehow affected. Their preparing for return to the sociality is absolutely necessary. It is evident, that every group of young prisoners has own specifics gained through education. We can't affect this way of education, so it is important to influence on young prisoners in the execution of punishment. This influence works through programmes of treatment in the prisons. That's why I would like to appeal to create this programmes individualy especially for young prisoners. I deal with this ways of treatment on prisoners in the age 18 - 26 in the last part of this work. I offer several variations which should provide or at least increase better resocialization of young prisoners to the society and through this lower number of recidivist in this age group.
