This thesis deals with the introduction to the security mechanism. The procedure explains the basic concepts, principles of cryptography and security of modern protocols and basic principles that are used for information transmission network. The work also describes the most common types of attacks targeting the eavesdropping of communication. The result is a design of the eavesdropping and the implementation of an attack on the secure communication of the SSL protocol..The attacker uses a false certificate and attacks based on poisoning the ARP and DNS tables for this purpose. The thesis discusses the principles of the SSL protocol and methodology of attacks on the ARP and DNS tables.
Resilient fiber optic infrastructure
Spurný, Vladimír ; Kubánková, Anna (referee) ; Münster, Petr (advisor)
Optical networks are often mistaken for being secure, but there are ways to eavesdrop on the signal in an optical fiber without the user noticing. Cryptography is used to protect data, but quantum computing may threaten current encryption methods in the future. Misuse of active and passive elements affect the security of the optical infrastructure. The monitoring ports of active devices and the physical properties of optical fibre s pose risks for data leakage and eavesdropping. This work focuses on information transmission in optical fibers, data leakage risk analysis, and testbed design for measuring data signal interference. And then verifies the functionality of the workstation on a high-speed coherent transmission system.
Limits of interference with constitutionally guaranteed rights and freedoms in criminal proceedings
Doležalová, Dominika ; Gřivna, Tomáš (advisor) ; Bohuslav, Lukáš (referee)
Limits of interference with constitutionally guaranteed rights and freedoms in criminal proceedings Abstract The presented thesis deals with one of the key issues of criminal procedural law, namely the limits of interference with constitutionally guaranteed rights and freedoms in criminal proceedings. The regulations of criminal proceedings in the Czech Republic, a democratic state governed by the rule of law, must, while preserving the tools for effectively combating crime, contain such guarantees of a fair trial that the full protection of the rights and freedoms of the persons being prosecuted is ensured. In view of the increasing standard of protection of fundamental rights and freedoms on the one hand and the increasing sophistication of criminals as a result of globalisation and the rapid development of modern technology on the other, this creates an extremely difficult task for the legislator. This thesis presents a detailed analysis of the issue. Recent developments in the Czech jurisprudence made apparent certain gaps in the legislation of criminal proceedings, specifically in the area of "evidence" and in the related area of interception. For this reason, the first out of the five chapters of the thesis discusses the establishment of the practice of fair trial in the Czech Republic, which puts an...
Wiretapping and recording of telecommunication traffic
Frolková, Klára ; Bohuslav, Lukáš (advisor) ; Vokoun, Rudolf (referee)
This thesis is devised as an analysis of the legal framework of the institutes of wiretapping and recording of telecommunication traffic, as well as the survey of the telecommunication traffic, which is included in the § 88 and § 88a of the act no. 141/1961 Coll., Criminal Procedure, as amended. The aim of this thesis was to analyze in detail the current and valid legal framework with respect to the protection of human rights and to point out the fact that the use of these institutes often finds itself on the threshold of considering the interference with the personal sphere of an individual to be justified/justifiable as well as the slight overstepping of such threshold by the public authorities, which I assume. The thesis is divided into four connecting chapters, not including the introduction and the conclusion. In the first chapter, which is divided into two sub-chapters, I address primarily the legal evolution of the examined institutes, as to when was the first time these institutes were incorporated into the valid legal framework and brought to life, their subsequent development and the most important amendments throughout the years. The second sub-chapter outlines the technical development from the not so distant past to the present, where I think about the evolution of technical...

In the following part, the term wiretapping and recording of telecommunication traffic is explained and the amendments of legislation of this institute are summarized. On the development of the amendments of legislation it can be observed the fostering of protection of right to privacy by/over time on the development of the amendments of legislation. The next part focuses on the issue of the wiretap warrant, specifically on the procedure leading up the wiretap warrant, its compulsory content according to the criminal procedural code, the test of three-degree efficiency control of lawfulness wiretap warrant, and also the jurisdiction which is really important in this issue. The last point which...
Leakage of information through active and passive elements in optical fibre infrastructures
Spurný, Vladimír ; Horváth, Tomáš (referee) ; Münster, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the problem of information leakage from optical fiber infrastructures, both from the fibers themselves and from passive and active elements. The first part is devoted to a theoretical description of the transmission of information over an optical fiber and the function of individual components. The next part is focused on the theoretical analysis of possible information leaks. In the last - practical part, there will be an examination of some of the previously described possibilities of information leakage with subsequent analysis and a proposal for risk minimization.
Wiretapping and Record of Telecommunication Traffic
Remerová, Šárka ; Galovcová, Ingrid (advisor) ; Tlapák Navrátilová, Jana (referee)
This thesis deals with the legal framework and the use of wiretapping and record of telecommunication traffic, which is set under Section 88 in the Code of Criminal Procedure and the similar institute of survey of data about telecommunication traffic under Section 88a. The goal of the paper is to analyse valid legal framework, use of both institutes in real with accent on finding current problems and suggesting their solution. Wiretapping and survey of telecommunication data are institutes that serve to get information in criminal procedure and to take evidence, at the same time they are major interference to the basic human rights, particularly the privacy. However if the legal conditions are fulfilled, the interference is allowed. This constitutional aspect is examined in the thesis. Considering today's world full of modern technologies and the choice of remote communication both wiretap and survey of data are plentifully used. In accordance with that it is necessary to deal with the question of legitimacy of using both institutes, the question of how to order and execute them and also the possibilities of using the results of them as the evidence in criminal procedure. The thesis devotes to the important and recent judicature relating to legality of interference with the basic rights and the...
