Validiation of walking tests in patients with coxarthrosis
Suljakovićová, Sabina ; Špaňhelová, Šárka (advisor) ; Smolíková, Libuše (referee)
Práce posuzuje možnosti využití chůzových testů u pacientů s koxartrózou. Na skupině třiceti pacientů se třetím stupněm koxartrózy kyčelního kloubu bylo provedeno měření pěti různých testů: dotazník Harris Hip Score, Timed Up And Go Test (TUG), Ten Meter Walk Test - desetimetrový test chůze (10MWT), Two Minute Walk Test - dvouminutový test chůze (2MWT) a Six Minute Walk Test - šestiminutový test chůze (6MWT).
Case Study of Physiotherapy Treatment of a Patient after Total Hip Replacement
Popov, Daniela ; Nováková, Tereza (advisor) ; Pavlů, Dagmar (referee)
Title of thesis: Case Study of Physiotherapy Treatment of a Patient after Total Hip Replacement. Work placement: Institute of Rheumatology (Revmatologický ústav), Prague Summary: The goal of this bachelor's thesis is to present a theoretical and practical view of coxarthrosis, also known as hip osteoarthritis, and its treatment. It consists of a theoretical part and a case study. The theoretical part consists of the anatomy, biomechanics and kinesiology of the hip joint, and characteristics of coxarthrosis and its treatment. The case study is based on a 64-year-old female patient who underwent total hip replacement of the left hip joint. It consists of anamnesis, initial kinesiological examination, rehabilitation plan, therapy progress, final kinesiological examination, effect of therapy, reflexion on therapy and conclusion. The methods used during the therapy sessions with the patient were all non-invasive. A combination of manual techniques and rehabilitation exercises was used with the aim to help the patient recover and become as self- reliable in the activities of daily living as possible. Keywords: hip joint, rehabilitation, coxarthrosis, osteoarthritis, exercises, range of motion
Coxarthrosis therapy through posture optimalization
Krausová, Eliška ; Veselá, Jana (advisor) ; Valouchová, Petra (referee)
v anglickém jazyce This thesis strives to find relationship between human posture and the origin and progression of coxarthrosis. The main idea is built on the fact that the degenerative joint disease often arises on the basis of the chronical overload in the functional decentered position. The theoretical section is focused on trunk and hip muscles coordination that is defined in the ontogenesis. Moreover, the information about joint loading and stabilization is mentioned. The practical part consists of two case studies, which are observing subjective and objective changes after therapy. There are no local techniques in this therapy.
The case study of a physiotherapeutic treatment of a patient after reoperation of a total hip replacement
Králová, Barbora ; Maršáková, Kateřina (advisor) ; Zimermanová, Helena (referee)
Title: The case study of a physiotherapeutic treatment of a patient after reoperation of a total hip replacement. Objective: The aim of this bachelor's thesis was a comprehensive elaboration and summary of theoretical knowledge and practical skills related to physiotherapeutic care after reoperation of a total hip replacement. Method: The bachelor thesis consists of two main parts - general and special. The first, general part, contains knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology of the hip joint. It contains a chapter on coxarthrosis, its etiology and possibilities of its treatment. It also describes the various types og hip implants, the most commonly used surgical approches, indications, contraindicatios and complications of the surgery. It also includes a description of the cource of preoperative rehabilatition, early rehabilitation after surgery and subsequent medial rehabilitation. The second, special part, contains a case study of a patient after reoperatin of a total hip replacement, the course of treatment and evaulation of the effect of therapy. Results: The goals of the short - term therapeutic plan were fullfilled. The applied therapy increased the range of motion in the joints of the operated lower limb, increased muscle strength, stretched shortened muscles, affected hypertonic muscles,...
Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient with total hip replacement
Jonáš, Michal ; Vomáčková, Helena (advisor) ; Hořejší, Jan (referee)
Title: Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient with total hip replacement. Objectives: The aim of this thesis was to summarize theoretical knowledge about the hip joint and total hip arthroplasty and the subsequent elaboration of a practical case study of physiotherapeutic care in a patient with this diagnosis. Methods: This thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part describes the hip joint's anatomical structure, osteoarthritis, coxarthrosis, and total hip arthroplasty. The practical part of the work contains a detailed case study of physiotherapeutic care for a patient after implantation of total hip arthroplasty. The case study includes anamnesis, entry kinesiological analysis, short-term and long-term therapeutic plan, therapy design, the record of individual therapeutic units, outcome kinesiological analysis, and evaluation of the effect of therapy. Results: Goals set by the short-term therapeutic plan have been met within the performed therapeutical units. In particular, the patient achieved a reduction in pain in the area of the operated joint, an increase in the range of motion, an increase in the muscular strength of weakened muscles, and an adjustment of the walking stereotype. Keywords: case study, total hip replacement, coxarthrosis, physiotherapy
A case study of physiotherapeutic treatment of a patient with a diagnosis of total hip endoprosthesis
Klíma, Jiří ; Ragulová, Michaela (advisor) ; Nováková, Tereza (referee)
Author: Jiří Klíma Title: A case study of physiotherapeutic treatment of a patient with a diagnosis of total hip endoprosthesis Objectives: The objective of this Bachelor's thesis is to review a case study of physiotherapeutic treatment of a patient with a diagnosis of total hip endoprosthesis and become acquainted with this diagnosis from a theoretical point of view. Methods: A case study of physiotherapeutic treatment of the patient was produced during practise in the Malvazinky Rehabilitation Clinic from the 11th of January to 5th of February 2021. It included anamnesis, initial kinesiological examination, both short-term and long-term physiotherapy plans, 14 physiotherapy sessions, a final kinesiological examination and an evaluation of the effect of therapy. Results: Physical condition of the patient was improved. The postoperative oedema was reduced and condition of soft tissue around the scar was improved. The range of flexion, extension and abduction of the operated hip joint increased. Flexors, extensors and abductors have been strengthened. Keywords: physiotherapy, rehabilitation, case study, endoprosthesis, coxarthrosis, hip joint
