Designing a controlling concept using the business intelligence system
Hejdánek, Michal ; Král, Bohumil (advisor) ; Houser, Václav (referee)
The Master Thesis deals with the use of the controlling concept in business management, Business Intelligence systems and their interconnection. The aim is to propose this integration link on the example of a particular company and at the same time to give management recommendations in areas that will be evaluated in the analysis as insufficient. The theoretical part of this thesis is divided into three main chapters. The first deals with the definition of controlling, its tools and organizations. The second one describes business intelligence, not just the basic principles of this technology, but also the choice of tools and the implementation process are explained. The following chapter lists two software tools that combine controlling and business intelligence in practice. The practical part is divided into a general description of the company, analysis of the applied elements of controlling and then the proposal of solution of insufficient areas and the process of BI implementation, which contains 12 steps which would enable to implement the BI concept.
Information system for network devices documentation
Kozlovský, Jiří ; Petyovský, Petr (referee) ; Macho, Tomáš (advisor)
This study is focused on creating and realisation of the concept of information system for network devices documentation at The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication at Brno University of Technology. The aim of the study is to create system analysis, create process and data model, to solve the problematics of the documented entities lifecycles, solve problems of system access, including user roles. Then to implement the system, debug it and verify it's functionality.

Main objective lies in current enterprise information system analysis according to business processes and best solution proposal.
Analysis of Sharing Networks
Blažek, Libor ; Mašek, Pavel (referee) ; Horváth, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is the design and implementation of the protocol in OPNET Modeler. In this work will be developed all the elements have been used no default settings. In the first chapters, making simulation are defined packets. Another chapter consists of a block diagram of workstations, which are assigned to function blocks. The central process is created by the process model, also for the router. The individual elements are inserted into a variety of elements and subsequently used in the simulation. Connection is a new service that has been defined separately. One of the simulations will be created on a smaller scale and the other on a global scale with more features.

Corporate Information Strategy
Bolehradská, Dunja ; Klusák, Aleš (referee) ; Koch, Miloš (advisor)
This thesis offers an information strategy for a small-sized webdesign business. It examines the current state of its IS/IT, whilst evaluating its benefits in business procedures and processes. This thesis envisages an IT strategy that will significantly support increase in competitiveness on the market and accomplishment of the business goals of this firm. This strategy introduces various elements of the future information system and emphasises the importance of the choice of the right solutions. The essential part of master’s thesis are also theoretical resources.
Activity based management used in administration of state
Drahoňovský, Milan ; Sedláčková, Helena (advisor) ; Strouhal, Jiří (referee) ; Popesko, Boris (referee)
ABC is a methodology for calculating of the costs of activities in the organizations. This methodology has a very precise explicitness on the actual used costs. ABC is a methodology that is used mainly in foreign corporations in the private ownership. Its use in the state and their subordinate organizations established in foreign companies is very small and almost not used in domestic organizations. Accurate knowledge of the costs of the various company activities could be crucial in the long term view and directs the organization to success or to failure. In the private sector are costing mechanisms set in different level, but in the public sector are largely neglected. This situation is mainly due to the fact that organizations are managed by hired managers and they are not owned by a private person (or persons) too. They are owned by the state, which functions as the manager is very poor. The current economic situation and changes are forcing organizations to think about the possibilities of using advanced management methods. These trends are captured not only in surveys, identified already as efforts superiors organizations to manage subordinate organizations, but also partially finalized projects in the state sphere. These projects reveal the interested of organizations to further detailed insights into the stream of costs and their final utilization. This dissertation summarizes the findings of ABC for the public sector in universities and research institutions. Summarizes the current status and position for the creation of the ABC model in practice. This thesis includes not only the methodology but also a practical example of the practices described step by step. The results of the calculation according to ABC provide detailed view of costs during the agenda execution and organization also on a detailed calculation of the output of the organization. Thanks to a detailed insight into structured calculation is allowed to lead their active management and positive influence on the future.
Public Sector ITIL Processes Design
Kalivoda, Tomáš ; Voříšek, Jiří (advisor) ; Tajtl, Martin (referee)
This master thesis analyzes current situation in the area of IT Services management in the Czech public sector in ITILv3 framework. Theoretical part characterizes ITIL framework from high-level perspective, includes processes description and possible use in public sector. Moreover, public sector organization structure and government's strategy vision are summarized. The master thesis practical part analyzes current situation of IT Services management in the Czech public sector, uses public information ressources, surveys, discussions and interviews. The analysis identifies key points threatening IT management effectiveness. IT Governance model is designed based on these key points. The model proposes strategy view and defines crucial organizational responsibilities. Essential ITIL processes are defined including implementation plan and communication strategy.
Process management principles, procedures and tools application in software development project management
Oškrdal, Václav ; Doucek, Petr (advisor) ; Pour, Jan (referee) ; Hřebíček, Jiří (referee) ; Závodný, Peter (referee)
The main goal of this dissertation thesis is to design and verify a new concept of process management principles, procedures and tools application, utilizable in the software development project management field. Emphasis is placed on creating a general (i.e. generally usable) concept, derived from solid theoretical background and suitable for further expansion and modifications. The theoretical part of the thesis has two main chapters. In the "Process management" chapter, the individual derived principles (Effectiveness, Added value, Coherence, Portability, Adequate standardization, Measurability, Clarity, Integration, Accountability, Continuous improvement) and procedures (Initiation, Identification, Definition, Validation, Implementation, Revision) are described and interconnected into an integrated concept, usable for the introduction and development of process management in the organization, supported by appropriate ICT tools (mainly from four selected areas -- Modeling and Simulation, Performance measurement, Change management, Administration). In the "Project Management" chapter, the project management area is embedded in the broader context of a process-driven organization in line with modern models of strategic ICT governance and ICT services management. The main dimensions of project management as well as the process approach to project management, which helps to bridge the gap between unique/temporary projects and repeatable/stable processes, are described. Basis for the normative project processes design in the following part of the thesis is set by the evaluation of selected models of the project life cycle and project management methodologies. The practical part of this thesis is basically a verification of the concept, described in the theoretical chapters. Firstly, an original project management methodology, suitable for deriving process model of the subject area, is presented. On this basis -- and by using the previously described principles, procedures and process management tools -- the major artifacts of a reference project processes model are elaborated (such as Conceptual model of the subject area, List of events and natural processes, Process pyramid, Process model, Organization model, Indicators pyramid or RACI matrix of roles and processes/indicators /SLAs; setup of selected process model is also verified experimentally by simulations). Critical evaluation of the presented model is an important input for the final assessment of the thesis goals' achievement and proposal of further research fields.
The 4S Web-marketing mix in a small company
Uhlíř, Petr ; Gála, Libor (advisor) ; Šebesta, Michal (referee)
The goal of this thesis is to evaluate whether application of the model of marketing promotion in the Internet based on the concept of web-marketing mix 4S in a small organization, sales-oriented professional machines and equipment for carpentry, plumbing and metal fabrication shop can achieve synergy and formulated key performance indicators. To achieve this goal is necessary to identify and describe technologies, tools, procedures and processes based on literature and publications that are typical for internet marketing in a small and medium-sized companies, as the concept of internet promotion. The important part is to analyze the web-marketing mix 4S, which is a one of the possible variants of marketing mix. The 4S will serve as a base process model website promotion.
